Occasional Signals in the Aromantic Worldwatcher's Universe Line

There are countless worlds in the cosmos unaware of the existence of others, worlds that are unconscious of the bitter realities, worlds that cannot exist beyond the confines of the universe themselves. However, there also exists those who have, in pure coincidence, possess this knowledge, civilizations that have comprehended infinity and existence—the worldwatchers. Nevertheless, they have realized themselves to be deplorably impotent, and thus have resolved to become “guardians” or “keepers” of universal intelligence. Others, on the other hand, still believe that they could do more. In a world with otherworldly, primordial mirrors, Ceris: Examination…evaluation…and ready… Ceris: … (radio noises) Ceris: One and all, worlds at large, sending my signal. This is the universe line. Does anyone hear me? In a world of eternal night and glinting blue crystals, Morpho: … Morpho: Obstinate. When the sea of stars came to light, Morpho: You… Morpho: What is it that you truly wish? Ceris: There is no other reason. Only that I wish to receive a signal. The universe is vast, this is the cosmos of the teller, but me, an aromantic worldwatcher, and you…we deserve to tell the story of these worlds.

Spring of Consciousness

Spring of Consciousness

~.~

Krosmeocarosrea

Esthalassia, Y.0000

A conscious part of the universe sprung from nothingness in a sea of stars. As the entity incarnates into many forms of matter, it finds itself traversing through totalities and infinities it had seen before: mysterious worlds seemingly predetermined in space-time. What does the universe itself intend to gain from this encounter, and what principles of the cosmos will be learned in order to understand and justify its existence?

That being, when it first realized its consciousness, it immediately wandered and roamed the places it could. It drowned itself in its sentience and filled all of itself with knowledge of its immediate environment. Stars, planets, nebulae, galaxies, comets, asteroids, meteoroids, satellites, and so many more—it immediately knew every part of that universe. Even in its early birth, it seemed to have already indifferently witnessed countless celestial phenomena as well as universal disasters. It understood the cycle of this universe, of death and life, creation and destruction.

That sentient being…is that universe itself.

However, how could something so vast be manifested into just a single existence? Its existence was quite confusing. It found worlds of its interests—worlds that, upon its omnipotent ability, were found to be destined to a certain fate. All of a sudden, an inherently emotionless abstract concept became a conscious and feeling existence. It tried to change everything, world after world, even with its sole existence. However, everything was futile. Hopeless. Pointless.

That being...that universe…that conscious universe did not agree with the laws of the physical universe. It became sympathetic despite being detached, despite not caring for death and destruction of other worlds.

Then, somehow by coincidence, that conscious being found a chance to…restart everything.

….It….took the chance

Because in this universe, there was only one thing it wanted: to be its guardian and keeper.

And in order to be a better guardian…the world that was trapped in the cycle of fate had to be gone.

It thought, "But like the beginning of this one, a new universe will dawn. The spring will wake and flow, so will the memory of the cosmos. With more liberty and order, a greater story would be told."

It was just…no one knew if that being was right.
