Zombie experimentation
As Naruto opened up the case laying in front of him he saw a case with 6 rows of vials containing cures/vaccines for different types of Viruses that were contained within the lab. The case belonged to the executive of this branch of umbrella which was why he had cures and vaccines for a few of the viruses, he had prepared many viles of cures and antidotes along with a hard-drive containing all of the important research just in case he needed to flee but unsurprisingly he never managed to escape. The briefcase contained a cure/vaccine for the T- virus, and G-virus as long as it's administered within minutes minutes of infection or before any mutations occur, a vaccine for the Neo-T and T-Abyss viruses that grant some protection against the virus and different growth inhibitors for the Plagas as the dominant strain and subordinate strains need different inhibitors.
As he took a vial of T-virus inhibitors before going over to the room that Azula had set up. Within the room looked like a hospital with white walls and bright lights as he made his way closer to the room he could hear as the subject within screamed for help yelling "Help. Help. If you help me get out I'll help you get whatever you want" as Naruto opened the door he saw as a relatively muscular man was strapped down on a bed multiple times all over his body. The man had shaggy brown hair and brown eyes, overall the man looked pretty generic he was taken from a merchant caravan on its way to Konoha along with everything else from the people to the merchandise.
Naruto looked the man right in his eyes as he told the man "I'll let you go free if you can survive my little experiment." The man fearfully nodded his head before he closed his eyes in trepidation waiting for the experiment to begin. As Naruto quickly injected the man with the T-Virus he saw as the virus slowly spread through his body, Naruto was using this man as a template to see how it would affect the human body now as the bodies of modern humans were likely stronger and more resilient due to the presence of chakra.
As Naruto carefully watched the man on the bed seize he quickly activated his byakugon to watch how the virus would change the body. The change was relatively short taking only 10 minutes and 15 seconds but was also immense with after the period ending after the three minute mark he saw as the body began to alter itself producing more chakra with the body circulating chakra through the bloodstream making them stronger and more durable. It was at this moment that Naruto realized the impact of chakra because the experiment was only done on a civilian with no combat experience an the body was able to increase its strength to that of a genin and it was a newly created zombie and while they'll likely get weaker as their bodies degrade his knowledge on how zombies could possibly mutate was a big problem it could cause some real chaos on the mainland.
On closer inspection of the zombie he could observe as the newly made zombie's chakra color started to change differentiating itself from the normal blue chakra the chakra turned a strange light grey paling further from the normal blue that normal chakra was. The zombie after noticing his presence immediately lunged at him trying to bite him while still strapped down, Naruto was quite surprised at the zombie's anatomy it was far stronger than it was used in the past likely because of the presence of chakra. knowing that a normal modern human can't live without chakra he was curious what would happen if zombies ran out of chakra, he planed to test this by quickly drawing a chakra absorption seal and absorbing all the chakra within the zombie. As the zombie completely stopped moving he quickly sent a clone over to check over the corpse of the zombie and to his astonishment it was dead like a regular corpse after using a separate seal to Reunify the corpse and the chakra surprisingly the chakra revived the zombie putting it back in the same position of trying to eat him.
After having Azula bring in a disposable demon he tried to make the demon into a zombie but failed and after looking over his body he realized that because of the body containing the life force of a person as chakra now the potency of the body's chakra would play a major role in becoming a zombie so being with a highly dense chakra like demons won't be able to become zombies. Likely those with a dense chakra or a high compatibility with zombie chakra would survive infection. While Naruto experimented with zombie chakra he as a test put some of his chakra within some water alongside some zombie chakra to test if his chakra density was enough to grant him immunity to infection and to no one's surprise he was safe meaning that while he was immune to infection he was also immune to the benefits it would bring as well. Naruto after going through all the research that umbrella had came to the conclusion that the conclusion that the equivalent of the immune or compatible would be those that could safely assimilate the virus as the density of one's chakra would only make a person capable of developing the virus as if the density of the chakra is too high it couldn't infect it.
Naruto after a bit of thought wanted to test something, after having five demons and two humans placed in a room he released the zombie and as expected the zombie only went after the humans Likely being drawn to attack those that could possibly host the virus since demons couldn't host the virus they were completely ignored. After ordering the demons to clean up the mess and dragging the bodies into a lab he conducted a bit of research after locking the zombies in a chakra resistant glass cell Naruto filled up another 3 cells with a single prisoner he then filled each one up with a prisoner before injecting them with a different virus to observe the effects he injected them with the g virus, the c-virus, and the progenitor virus respectively.
The prisoner with the g virus stayed like a normal zombie as there was nothing to induce any mutations, the chakra quality limit of the g-virus infected was higher than the t virus at a 2.7 while the t-virus peaked at 2.3 Naruto decided to make things simple by creating a chakra density index that went from 1-5 with five being as dense as human chakra to be, if the same scale of measurement were applied to demons the base density would be a 6 peaking at around an 8,9, or 10. While the density of ghost chakra would be in the range of 0.1 to 8 it didn't have the physical properties to be infected, as ectoplasmic energy is not Corporeal in nature. Naruto is an anomaly possessing a chakra density of 5 for human chakra and a density of 8 for his ectoplasmic energy he didn't add bijuu chakra to the scale because it's far too dense to be measured.
After creating the chakra density index naruto eagerly wanting to collect the benifts of the viruses angerly slammed his hands into the nearby wall unconsciously Chaneling chakra into his fists causing spiderweb cracks to appear. As Naruto left the laboratory making his way to his bed he entered his mindscape where he was greated by his mother taking a nap in a hammock as he got clocked to her she immediately shot her eyes open sensing a person nearby. As she looked at him she noticed his unhappy mood she asked "hey Sochi, what's the matter you seem more glum than usual." As he willed two sun chairs into existence he signaled over for her to take a seat. "I'm having trouble with a project I'm working on and I don't know what to do. I'm having trouble finding out a way to synchronizing multiple things."
As Naruto tried to explain things the best he could she eventually told him "I'm not even going to try to comprehend what ever you're doing as I know that I won't understand all this science mambo jumbo, but if you're trying to synchronize something you need to understand each things strength and weakness to see witch things work and witch things just don't and many then you'll find your answer" shrugging at her lack of a proper answer And as he listened to his mother's words he had a revelation it was about understanding the limits of each piece that I could find an answer after thanking his mom he left his mindscape.
As Naruto opened up his eyes he immediately sat up from his bed looking at his clock seeing the time 10:49 pm he quickly got up from his bed without even changing from his pajamas he quickly made his way to his lab just putting on a lab coat that he grabbed from his lab. As Naruto arrived at his quarantine zone(the zone he has the zombies held) he quickly prepared rooms along with his clones as he heard the loud groaning of the zombies. As the rooms were quickly prepared he had his clones got her subjects from the dungeon to be injected with the different serums, he already has their physicals written down so it would be easier to find any changes after any experiments. After choosing the most useless of his subjects in their new room they were immediately terrified by the groaning monsters that immediately became rowdy as they entered. As all of the prisoners were taken to their cells they were all injected with a virus by Naruto before he left for the night, as he made his way to bed he was able to get an amazingly good sleep.
The next morning
The next morning as Naruto awoke he made his way to the lab where everyone was but to his surprise only two people died with four surviving while the rest became regular mindless zombies. The survivors were the ones injected with The plagas parasites, The H-Virus, The NE Alpha parasite, and the T+G-virus they were the only ones that survived with all of their mental functions completely intact as he was about to check to see how being infected altered their bodies he was called up for breakfast.
As Naruto went up he ate breakfast with Azula and Mikoto. As he sat down at the breakfast table he was greated by Mikoto asking "so I heard that you and your team were leaving the village soon so when are you leaving." As Naruto turned his head over to her he told her "me one the team are leaving in 3 days now to escort a few merchants to pallet town at the end of the land of fire. And what are you planning to do during this time?" As Mikoto looked a bit sheepish she told him I'm going to head out for my monthly delivery of the sharingan serums along with picking up slaves with any strange or special abilities. If I feel like it I might even go check in with orochimaru because as a fellow scientist he might have something of use to you." He could only nod in agreement he just told her "don't give him anything that could let him know what we're working on."
After their conversation their breakfast's came down with both eagerly eating the food that was prepared when he finished his food he immediately went back down to his lab wanting to get as much work done before he leaves. As Naruto arrived back at his lab he thoroughly checked over those that survived the infection. Of all of The survivors two of them were parasite holder's while the other two were viruses The H-Virus and the T+G-virus had a max density of 1.9 for the H-Virus and 2.8 for the T+G-virus Like all apparent zombies or infected they had a light grey colored chakra he first tested their cognitive abilities finding nothing wrong after vigorous testing.
To test out the capabilities that their body has he created a clone to enter their mind to control their bodies witch was surprisingly easy for the clone. As the clone took over the mind of the zombie he was easily able to feel fear as the virus within this body sensed the chakra density urging him to leave far from his main body as he Channeled his body's chakra he felt as the body suddenly got taller with bone spikes beginning to poke out of him he could also feel as electrical currents started to ark from spike to spike. As he tried to speak nothing came out so he just nodded at the original as he followed the original to the testing room and testing this body we were able to learn that the nobody that we injected with the T+G Virus rose from a normal civilian to a medium level genin in his base strength and a high genin in his transformed state. The body can use electricity easily in both states though it's more efficient in his transformed state after bringing the subject bect to his cell he immediately went back to his body before dispelling himself.
Naruto had learned a lot about zombies through this interaction he also learned that the modern form of mutations were caused when the passive chakra flowing through the body reaches a certain point it'll allow a transformation to occur as since normal zombies don't know how to Chanel chakra wouldn't allow them to transform until the amount of passive chakra in the body reaches the needed amount. As Naruto created another clone to enter the body of the lady injected with the H-Virus he waited for the clone to enter the lady's mind he quickly took over her body before nodding at the original as they made their way back to the testing room. As they arrived the clone did the standard tests of strength, speed, endurance, and stamina before having having the body transform. The body's transformed state had longer pointed nails that were as sharp as a Kunai with the added ability so suck blood from the fingertips on top of a further increase in strength, speed, and reflex he hasn't brought her into the sun yet for any testing but he doesn't know if it's still a weakness.
The speed was at high genin while the strength was at mid genin during her transformation Naruto during his study realized that each virus was likely to be specialized in something as the t-virus specialized in infectivity while the G-virus specialized in Adaptability he only realized this after noticing that the H-virus seemed to mainly increase speed than The T+G-virus's endurance was greater. As he looked over to where the ones with the parasites were located he had a dark and menacing smile plastered on his face, as he quickly made two clones to bring them to the table for inspection.
Naruto inspected the two for hours on end monitoring the effects of the parasites. There was an improvement in cognitive functioning for the NE parasite along with an increase in strength, speed, regeneration, and endurance and when checking their chakra he noticed an increase in density and that's when the process hit instead of alternating the virus to suit his chakra he'll do the opposite and make his chakra suit the viruses and to start he made clones to collect chakra from all of the subjects while he prepared some of his own chakra he put a tiny bit of chakra in a sealed container to help dissolve his chakra. As he let the water thin his chakra he waited for the clones to collect chakra from all of the zombies, one by one his clones appeared in the lab leaving labeled scrolls in a pile of the end of his desk as he grabbed the first scroll he desired he looked at the label G-Virus chakra as he observed the dissolving process of the foreign chakra mixing with his own he added a little bit more of his own chakra and waited for it to fully dissolve before slowly adding in the other chakras waiting for the G-virus todo it's thing. The reason he added the g virus first was to help his chakra adapt to the other characteristics present in the foreign viruses due to ability of his chakra to suppress chakra his chakra was easily able to absorb the chakra and use it to strengthen itself absorbing its increased adaptability further allowing the assimilation of the other zombies chakra's leaving only his own chakra after putting the chakra into a scroll he put the chakra scrolls under his desk before grabbing another scroll directly next to it, the scroll was labeled Demonic energy.
Naruto due to the pain of assimilating demonic energy wanted to find another way to turn his chakra network into a chakra core other then by assimilating demonic energy due to how painful the process is but it was the only thing stopping him from getting stronger. As Naruto went to his room he sent a clone to tell everyone to not bother him before he sealed the room, sitting on his bed Naruto placed the release seal on his stomach before leaving a small cut for the energy to enter into the body he had collected the demonic energy from every type of demon in preparation for this moment. As Naruto flailed a bit of chakra he was immediately wracked with pain as the energy forced itself through his body his body unconsciously began to spasm as the demonic energy forcefully compressed his chakra circulatory system the process was mind numbing and painful, the chakra core for his regular human chakra was almost done forming, he could feel as the energy moved under his skin but he order the stop, Naruto could have easily forced the demonic energy to stop but he didn't let the process stop enduring the pain.
The process took almost an hour he now had two more chakra core's leaving him with a total of four chakra core's after the procedure he immediately fell asleep
Leaving everything for the next day

As Naruto looked at the time it was 9:40 AM as he woke up feeling refreshed as the pain from yesterday was completely gone. After eating a quick breakfast consisting of cereal and milk he went back to the lab to get the scroll containing the zombie chakra, Naruto wanted to create a chakra core for the zombie chakra before going to retrain his abilities using regular chakra. As Naruto quickly cut a small wound on his stomach he released the chakra into his body slowly allowing it circulate his body in a controlled manner he could feel the changes as they occurred it was a comforting sensation that lasted only a few moments until the energy safely began to slowly flow to the center of his abdomen slowly forming a chakra core.
As the process concluded he went to a training room to retrain his body to use jutsu since with the loss of his chakra circulatory system he no longer had the circulatory system to help perform jutsu, a crutch in that it'll be harder to learn jutsu but a benefit as it granted more flexibility and control. The first jutsu he retaught himself was the shadow clone jutsu as it would be the most helpful in training, with the help of his increased control Naruto was easily able to re learn the jutsu not even needing hand-signs it only took him an hour to relearn as he was already extremely proficient in the technique after making a few hundred clones to relearn how to use every jutsu he knew he sent them off as he planned to use his main body to train in his increased physiology as he was strengthened by both becoming a demon and by becoming a zombie as he began to Chanel his zombie chakra he just had to imagine the form he wanted to take for him to transform as he imagined a form he could feel his body rearrange itself to make the form no matter how strange or grotesque.
After some training in different forms and in the use of his other zombie abilities like his ability to absorb things from the mold or his ability to transfer his consciousness from touch by the Cameron virus, he also started to train in some of the many demonic ability's from producing insects from his body to the ability to turn blood into demonic energy for quick replenishment. Naruto's physical attributes also grew greatly to around elite jonin level all around, Naruto was debating weather or not to sell the BOWs for profit as everyone that he cares about is currently a demon meaning that their completely safe as Zombies fear and ignore Demons. Naruto knows that he already owns many of the best places if he wants he could slowly sell everything that he and his associates own before using the earnings for food and other resources as he was doing before he wanted to see how the masses would react he wanted to first prepare for a mass reset by capturing and transferring hundreds of thousands of beings of all sorts and absorbing them sending them all into his inner worlds something he learned that he did when absorbing things.
As he absorbs anything it's sent into one of his inner worlds the representation of his chakra cores Naruto had planned to make a replica of the elemental nations in his chakra core to simulate their natural environment, its easy to relate what's absorbed and had no negative side effects, keeping beings inside of himself is actually beneficial for him as them being there produces chakra that he can use its slowly growing his chakra reserves as time passes. Naruto easily began to prepare everything by sending word to every demon on the the elemental nations to collect organisms native to a region for easy and convenient absorption Naruto even as a little side project even decided to send organisms to other chakra cores to see ho it'll effect them. After sending the message to every demon Naruto decided that this would be the best time tax he was being sent out of the village so he could get everything he wanted done, he started by meditating to enter his mindscape before going all the way to the other side of the planet? (I don't know what to call it but it's pretty much a planet)
After going through a few maps on geography made a rough outline for the elemental nations climate and all so he could make it as he explores it. Naruto already made a replica of the hidden leaf village as a landmark so that he knows that he's doing right, it should only take a few months with hundreds of shadow as the fox clones helping because of the Cameron virus and the las plagas parasite his clones could seamlessly share knowledge so both he and his clones could collaborate and communicate easily.
As the day came to a close and the clones began to dispel themselves Naruto had quickly packed up for his trip to hopefully end quickly he entered his mindscape infront of kurama "are you ready for your freedom you would have it in less than 48 hours now. " as he looked at the big fox In front of him he saw as the fox had a contemplative look in his eyes as he saw the look he quickly asked "what's wrong" as the fox looked at him the giant fox began to explain "I think that it would be best if I stayed here" asking why kurama continued explaining "even when I do get out I'll likely just get sealed again. This place is just as free as outside is it's only just missing the natural energy and this place would be perfect" as Naruto though over the points he made he could help but agree with the points made humans always seek what doesn't belong to then and the prospect of a walking nuke is never a good thing as he looked over at the large fox he asked "so is there anything you need or want that would make your stay here better?" The fox had a contemplative look before asking "Can you get my siblings and some natural energy in here if you can?" Naruto listening to his request asked "while I can get your siblings, what's natural energy? You brought it up twice now."
As Naruto listened for an explanation he heard as kurama explained "natural energy is the energy that large bodies of nature produce. Natural energy is usually fatal to absorb turning unsuitable organisms to turn to stone but because of your unique ability's your mindscape became your own personal dimension making you a god in this place, because of the abundance of nature present here you would only be granting this place the ability to produce natural energy while I'm not sure how granting this place natural energy would affect you personally it usually allows for an increase in strength, speed, and jutsu strength. While I can absorb natural energy I'm not sure if you can." As kurama explained the concept behind natural energy he was easily able to sense natural energy as zombies could naturally sense chakra densities he just had to pinpoint what the energy was as it was literally everywhere, he naturally tones it out as it makes it harder to sense farther away, like walking through a thick fog.
Naruto wanted to avoid dealing with natural energy before before he was certain he would be able to safely hold it. As Naruto looked over at kurama he asked "Do you know where I could find your siblings?" As he looked at the face the fox made he couldn't help but feel stupid as he realized how dumb the question was obviously really dumb he was trapped for close to a hundred years, as Naruto went outside to where his mother was he asked her "do you know where the biju are" he was surprised to get a "yeah every elite jonin level shinobi knows where they are. The Ichibi is located in suna, the Nibi is located in kumo along with the Hachibi, the Sanbi and Rokubi is located in kiri, with the Yonbi and Gobi being in Iowa. The only tailed beast not located in one of the major villages is the Nanabi held by taki."
After hearing of the locations of each of the tailed beasts decided that the Nanabi was going to be his first target as taki was a minor nation and was closer in theory as while the distance to the borders were about the same due to the land of waterfall being a smaller nation wasn't as far compared to the large land of wind. Naruto was lucky enough that his target was in the same direction as pallet town bordered the land of fire and the land of grass with his goal of taki residing in the land of waterfalls the neighboring country, After a long while of planning in his mindscape he decided to rest early wanting to be awake and energized for what will be a long and exhausting trip.
