Graduation Arrives! [Part-33]

Veronica slowly walked towards her two teammates. She noticed one's face turn into a bright smile seeing her arrive. She was almost reminded of Naruto but then noticed the calculative glint in his eyes.

"You must be Veronikha! I'm Tanaka. Nice to meet Ya!"-Tanaka

Tanaka deliberately mispronounced her name. It seemed that he was still testing her.

"I'm Ohta Aburame. A pleasure to finally see you."-Ohta

'Finally? Did they know of me before hand? Or was it just him who knew of me before hand? Maybe it was their sensei that told him but, I don't think I was that late to use 'finally'. Could just be nothing I guess... I'll have to check out more about this.'

<Yes, it's nice to meet you both as well.>

"Are you mute? If so, then wouldn't that be a problem if you're a ninja? I didn't think one of my teammates would be..."-Tanaka

He didn't continue his sentence as Veronica realized just how much on guard she'll have to be in this team. It was quite a hassle for her but at least she wouldn't have to focus on them dragging her down in missions.

'Although anything other than missions is a different story...'

<Well, sort of... The doctors haven't found anything to cure my sickness so I guess I qualify as a mute for now.>

Veronica finally answered Tanaka, as she decided to just let think whatever they want of her.

"So, you are sick. I recommend for you to not continue down this path if you're sickness if going to get in the way, why? Because it would also get in my way."-Ohta

*Don't consider my kindness as weakness. The beast in my is sleeping, not dead.*

Veronica almost scoffed at Ohta saying that. She knew that most of the clans knew to not underestimate her even if she didn't appear to be the brightest student in the academy. It was because she was able to teach all of the stuff that she had not even attempted in exams to a lot of the children very easily.

'That was a big mistake on my part. But... How come this guy doesn't know of my abilities when the whole Aburame clan knows of it? Maybe it's a test... Or... *Sigh* Whatever.'

[Someone is watching you all. They don't seem to have noticed my presence.]-Matatabi

'I know, he isn't exactly hiding himself.'

<You don't need to worry about me. I won't be getting in your way.>

Veronica answered Ohta with the same smile she had when she had gotten here. To the two boys, it was as though she either deliberately ignored their taunts or didn't notice it. Tanaka frowned a bit while contemplating this while Veronica made her own judgements about them in her mind.

[You should've made some sort of good comeback. They'll think of you as a softie or something.]-Matatabi

'It's fine. Let them misunderstand. Besides, I have no intention of getting attached to this team.'

[Please don't tell me you're turning into an emo.] -Matatabi

'I'm not. It's just that something is very off about these two.'

[Oh. You should probably get Tobirama to watch these two later too.] -Matatabi

'Yea.'

Jumping out from his hiding spot, their new teacher came and introduced himself. Veronica froze a bit when she saw him.

"Alright, my name is Ura. You all will be trained by me from here on out. Come on now. Let's get started."-Ura

"What about introductions and-"-Tanaka

<What are we doing first old man?>

Veronica shoved Tanaka out of the way so he would stop his useless talk. For someone who acts so strong, he wasted too much time.

[Stay calm.]-Tobirama

[What's wrong? You're too jumpy.]-Matatabi

She didn't respond to them immediately like usual. She needed to calm herself before she could respond.

'This body's memories are reacting to this man.'

[...Is it him?]-Matatabi

'No. But he's probably someone related to him.'

Her instinct was going off about how it was better to stay away from this man.

"I'll be testing you all in terms of speed, strength, your ability to get out of tough situations and then we'll be having a spar. Follow me."-Ura

Ura turned and started to run forward. All three Genin followed him till he increased his speed more. Veronica noticed how fast he was even when he wasn't pumping chakra in his feet. She increased her speed as well but just enough to have him in his sight. The two others seemed to think of this as a cat and mouse game and ran more faster to catch him.
