As Ace and Rain settled down in the personal room as they sat on the comfortable floor meant for sitting, the teas and desserts Rain decided on were sent into the room and placed onto the low table shortly after.
Besides the aromatic fragrance of the tea and the tantalizing aroma of the desserts, there was also a natural fragrance exuded by the materials used to make this private room which was soothing to the mind, which Ace found beneficial towards the recovery of his torn meridians which were recovering at a turtle pace.
"Rain, do you mind sharing with me more details about the Galaxy Rankings?" Ace asked after they settled down.
When Rain heard Ace's question, he was surprised that Ace had never heard of the Galaxy Rankings, but when he thought about it again, it was understandable since Ace came from a faraway place after all.
"The Galaxy Ranking is created by a mysterious force which no one knows of besides for the creator of the Astrology Pavilion, but one thing for sure is that the ranking is reliable and never wrong as proven countless times since the birth of the Nebula Kingdom."
Rain explained as he passed the Galaxy Ranking book to Ace.
Opening the Galaxy Ranking book, Ace realised that his name was at the front of the first page.
Ace: Sect master of the Nirvana Sect with seven disciples whose strengths are comparable to those demon talents of Tiger Tier cultivation forces. Personal strength is unknown but gauged to be comparable to a fifth grade Martial Lord when serious.
Abby: Female General of the Azure Dragons Army from the Nirvana Sect, youngest Martial Lord at the age of fourteen, sixteen years old at the moment and is believed to have strength comparable to a Martial King.
"What? Such a figure belongs to the personal army of your sect? Are you kidding me?" Rain inquired in shock when he saw the final description. Sixteen years old, yet she already has strength comparable to a Martial King.
Ace himself was more surprised than anyone else, but he understood that Abby must have a reason for concealing this fact from Alexander, possibly to protect his pride?
It seems that Alexander requires more help than the others right now...that's what Ace thought to himself as he continued to look at the list of names.
Third in place was a name he has never ever heard or seen before.
Trevor: Martial Lord eight realm. Cultivates the Divine Strength law, has strength comparable to the weaker Martial Kings first realm.
This might not seem that impressive at first glance, but when one thought about it again, it was more than just terrifying.
One had to know that the difference between a Martial lord and Martial King isn't as simple as the difference between a Martial Master and Great Martial Master.
A Martial King has more than ten times of spirit energy compared to a Martial Lord of the same cultivation talent, to put it simply, becoming a Martial King is the same as becoming the King of a mortal kingdom.
Above you, there are none except the emperors of the kingdoms. Below you, are those lords who can only suck up to you because they fear your strength.
That was the definition of a Martial King in the cultivation world.
As for the rest, Ace paid no heed to them as he asked Rain if he could purchase another copy for him.
"Of course." Rain replied without hesitation as he tapped the same card from just now onto a device on the wall.
A few seconds later, the same Galaxy Ranking book appeared, levitating in the middle of the table as Ace took it.
"Thanks."
"No problem, we'll be business partners for a long time in the future after all. Hahahaha!"
*The next day*
Ace woke up early as he headed towards the private chamber provided to him by the Peacock Auction Hall, when others asked, the workers replied to them with a uniformed answer they were ordered to give.
"The Auction Hall Master owes that mysterious figure a favour."
It was the truth, but those people were unwilling to believe it. If it was that simple to just occupy a private room, then even a beggar would be able to get in, not to mention that the person might not even have the wealth to bid for items.
But of course, this only meant that the others were being wary of Ace whose wealth and identity were unknown to them.
Oblivious to them, they were bound to walk away disappointed today with just the amount of spirit stores they will spend bidding on the elixir formulas which Ace decided to auction after ensuring that this wouldn't cause any potential genius to rise to a stage where he can't suppress him.
The auctioneer was already standing in her position, wearing a revealing dress which revealed her fair shoulders and legs, but concealing the important parts which would tempt any man present in the auction hall.
With a crescent hanging on her face, the auctioneer began the auction after seeing that most of the guests had arrived. As for those who were late, they can only blame themselves for whatever reason it was that caused their late arrival.
"Welcome to the Peacock Auction Hall once again everyone, I'm your host for today Caitlyn and it's my pleasure to be hosting this auction today. Do rest assured because the auction this time will be full of surprises which blow everyone's mind!"
"With that, the auction shall begin right away."
Caitlyn ended her introduction briefly in a few seconds as the first item was raised onto the stage from beneath as she pulled off the red carpet covering the object contained in a glass box.
The object was a sword, the colour of frost. It was a longsword with a simple design, but just from the shine it was revealing, it was evident that the sword was a high quality treasure.
"This sword is known as the Blizzard Cage Sword and was forged by Blacksmith Mo Qian personally. This sword is of the Half-King rarity and it would be most suitable for a peak Martial Lord or a Martial King in the early stages of the realm to possess it. Of course, the best effect would be seen on a cultivator that cultivates a law related to cold."
Note: Rarity from Four Domain realms onward have been changed and will follow the cultivation realms accordingly.
"The starting price will be ten thousand high grade spirit stones, please make your bids!"
After hearing the effects of the sword, the cultivators seated on the ground floor were all vying for it as they started to make their bids while those on the upper floors remained silent.
To them, this item was at best uncommon to them, fighting for it unless they had a specific reason to would only put shame on their faces considering their identity.
"I'm bidding twelve thousand high grade spirit stones!"
"Fifteen thousand high grade spirit stones!"
"Eighteen thousand high grade spirit stones!"
"Twenty one thousand high grade spirit stones!"
The price was being raised constantly, but in the end, the sword was only auctioned for twenty seven million high grade spirit stones.
One had to know that a Half-King rarity sword would only cost around twenty thousand high grade spirit stones outside the auction hall, but because of the renowned reputation of the Peacock Auction hall and the reliable craftsmanship of blacksmith Mo Qian, the price managed to increase this much.
Even though only 10% of the earnings will go to the auction hall, both Blacksmith Mo Qian and their sides have profited enough to be satisfied.
Having the auction going well since the beginning, Caitlyn was more confident as she introduced the second item which was raised onto the stage, removing the red carpet which revealed a ring, she knew that the upper floors were going to be alarmed since the auction had only just started.
"This ring is also known as a void ring, as for its effects, I'm sure everyone present would understand it better than me."
Those people still resting at the upper floors of their private rooms were still resting until they heard this term, even though the void ring was similar to a spatial ring, there was no way to compare the values between them.
A spatial ring was used to store items and the amount of space it contains within is dependent on the grade of the spatial ring.
But a void ring not only provides a stable amount of space for storing items, it can also be used to contain rare treasures or living beings such as demon beasts, making it the bosom buddy of each beast tamer.
While beast tamers had spatial habitats built within their spatial ring for their demon beasts specifically, the cultivation progress of their demon beast would definitely be delayed, making it the most common problem that beast tamers face.
But if they had a void ring which was able to host demon beasts without affecting their cultivation speed and up to at least eight demon beasts companions at the same time, then that beast tamer would only rise above others as time passes.
The crowd was sent into an uproar, the starting price of a hundred thousand high grade spirit stones already in the three hundreds thousands range and still increasing every bid.
Knowing that it was about time to make the bid, Ace made the call to bid for the void ring. If he wanted his sect to rise above the others, then the least he could do was provide the best cultivation tools for his disciples.
This void ring was going to be bidded for Tiger and thus, he made the final bid for the void ring.
"A million high grade spirit stones."
