Chapter 22

Amelia called for her spirit animal -Lynx, Ajax used his spiritual powers and took out a fire gun which he called 'Igniser' and Cole was just standing calmly with hands folded on his chest.

"What? Are you not going to use anything to fight? " Asked Ajax while Amelia also looked towards Cole in a questioning manner.

"My fists are my weapon. Too much talk. Let's fight" Said Cole and the fight began.

"Lynxie use Rock attack" Said Amelia and Lynx threw many big rocks at the people like a rain of stones.

"How.. How come.. Isn't your elemental power Fire. Then how can your Lynx use a Earth attack? "Asked Cole while breaking the bones of the gang members.

" Incredible, right? My lynx can use earth as well as fire attack. A very rare spirit. "Said Amelia while winking towards Ajax and Cole and telling Lynx to do " Earth Attack"and a big hole appeared where the people were standing and they feel I side the pit.

"But what is with the weird name Lynxie, you should added -ie to your lynx and it became a nickname." Said Ajax while shooting fire bullets on hands and legs of the people who were vexing him

"I know... I also don't know why I gave that weird name, but let us first solve this problem and then talk about how bad I am in giving nicknames. " Said Amelia.

Ajax scorned at Amelia's mockery while Cole smiled seeing their antics. Nearly all of the gang members were defeated by them. Ajax specially targeted the four people who tried to bully him when he first entered this city and then was saved by his brother. He beat them blue-black. All the gang members were lying on the ground grunting, panting and Cole, Amelia and Ajax were standing victoriously.

"This is the right antidote, right? "Roared Ajax to Michael while putting pressure on his burnt wound .

" Ye... Yes it is"whispered Michael while grunting in pain.

Amelia, Ajax and Cole looked at each other and were ready to go from that place when a long whip came in there way and blocked there way.

"I was thinking which bastard took my whip. So it was you" Said Cole while foldin hos hands on his chest.

"Shocked but who finds he keeps. So it is mine now. " Said the boss of the lionfish gang -Ralph.

"Really, then I will make sure that you don't have even an ounce of energy to lift that whip" Said Cole and he summond his spirit - Blue shark.

"You.. You had owl I saw it in the hotel.. How come a blue shark. " Yelled Ralph afraid that he is going to do a losing battle.

"I don't need to explain to you. Azul give that fishy a big whip " Said Cole calmly. Water spirits levitate from the ground and they are okay with out water. Just in 24 hours they need to be underwater to regulate their body and energy.

Cole's Azul -the blue shark one for the most aggressive sharks of all. Fast, swift attacker with sharp teeth while Red lionfish a stealth attacker with posionous teeth. But when it is the battle between these two the blue shark is sure to win. And that happened. Cole beat Ralph while Azul beat the lionfish. Cole took what belonged to him - the whip and then Cole called his owl which transformed into a big size owl on which they can sit and then directly flew to Fransisco bakery. They reached there within ten minutes as they were outside the city. As soon as they reached Ajax sprinted upto the bedroom. He saw that Ember was sitting on the chair with a towel in hand while Xander was lying in the bed sweating profusely. His neck was deep red and there were marks of scratches which were probably made by Xander himself. There were three bowls kept. One had a water from which steam was coming out and the other bowl had ice cubes in it. The third bowl was empty but had drops of blood in it.

"Did you bring it? Quick give him" Shouted Ember a little with quavering voice.

Ajax nodded and made Xander drink the antidote. After a few minutes the antidote kicked in his system and he looked much better. Xander opened his eyes and gave a small smile and whispered" I knew my kitten would do it." Ajax smiled and said " No doubt, I will always be by your side". Then Xander laid down comfortably and took rest while Ember also went in other room as she went through a roller coaster ride. All others also slept peacefully. Cole slept with Ajax in dining room on sofas as it was too late to move out while Amelia and Ember slept in other room.

The next day Ajax woke up early to make heavy breakfast for everyone as yesterday everyone barely ate food. Amelia was the first one to wake up followed by Cole , Ember and lastly Xander. Cole had been avoiding Xander since he saw him. Xander was still tired so he was not fully aware of an additional person. They all freshend up one by one and were ready to eat at the table. Xander saw Cole and was surprised to see him present there. They all ate and while eating Ajax and Amelia nareted everything to Xander and Ember everything except the kiss scene part which both Ajax and Amelia thought and blushed upon thinking of that.

"Cole what is this whip? Why did your family gave it you? " Asked Ajax out of curiosity.

"This is a long story. First let me eat first then I will tell in detail. " Said Cole while quickly finishing up his sandwiches and noodles.

After finishing they all gathered up and sat themselves on sofas and bean bags .

"This whip accepted me. So I am it's master. This whip itself has a story. The story took place fifty years ago. There were two male best friends. They were soldiers in battlefield. They were inseparable no matter what. They married and had a family but still, they were close to each other. Like soulmates. But one day one of them died after falling off the cliff on the battlefield. The other tried his all might to save him but luck was not on their side. While saving the rope which he used to save his soulmate broke and blood was smeared on it of both of them. After that, the other soulmate lived in isolation like a living dead body and died within a year. After his death the rope which he used to save his soulmate transformed into two whips that had the spiritual energy of both soulmates. But the whip which had the spiritual energy of the one who survived turned black. The resentment, pain, and guilt fir not saving his friend turned the pure spiritual energy into an evil one. The other one was still pure but was the only thing that can control the evil power of the other whip. They can be joined together and then do so it can bring the dead back to life and increase spiritual energy up to 100%. It was used by people of good faith and belief only for saving the lives of people and easing their suffering. But a greedy soul stole and ran away. Because once you take the whip and ut increase your spiritual level to 100% you are undefeatable. The whip only accepts a master if it thinks that it deserves and is worthy of it. The greedy soul was not the right master for it. So it got separated with a blast in which the greedy soul perished. But the worse thing that took place was due to the effect of the blast which happened on the continent for some other reason both the whips got separated from each other. After much research, my family found the whip the pure one and luckily it accepted me as its master. But the bad news is that if the evil whip is away from the pure one it gathers all the bad energy from the people around it and due to this the evil whip took the form of a soul and now it works on its own and has made its mission to find the master of the pure whip and kill him/her as that one thinks that the other whip can only be it. "Said Cole and clasped his hands together.

" So an evil whip which has a soul of it now is after your life as you are the master of that whip,"said Amelia.

"But what else happened due to which the two parts of whips got separate? What more took place? " Asked Ember.

"Well I was not afraid till now but the way you said it, I got goosebumps. An evil.. Evil whip. I can't fight a non-living thing but it can kill me. Wow, terrific" Said Cole while pressing his lips together and showing both his thumbs up.

"Do you know cooking, baking stuff like that? " Asked Ajax suddenly.

"Out of nowhere. Yes.. Yes, I can.... might need help. But why? " Asked Cole

"You can stay with us. We will protect you. But you can't stay here for free and help us run our bakery. We will provide you with free food, free room, and free protection. What do you say? " Asked Ajax. Amelia and Ember also liked this idea and looked toward Cole with big eyes full of curiosity. Xander quietly listened to everything and when Ajax asked the question he looked directly into Cole's eyes Cole also looked at him and their eyes met for the first time and many unspoken words were exchanged between them. They stared at each other for a few minutes ignoring everyone else.
