Chapter 21

Amelia was behind Ajax and Ajax held a rod in his hand as they were sure that the person behind the window is a member of the Lionfish gang. They were ready to beat that guy blue-black and then make him spill the beans about the antidote. Ajax held the rod firmly in his hand and Amelia had her halide ready. When the person opened the window slowly without making noise and so the shadow became more clear and Ajax and Amelia could make out that a person is a man. As soon as the person touched and removed the curtain slowly, then Ajax swing his rod with full force and was about to hit that person hard on the head when he saw that the person he was going to hit is none other than their helper-Cole. He threw the rod on the ground and was trying to balance his body when Amelia who did not see who was the person due to Ajax's height threw her dagger which Cole easily dodged by just bending but the curtain behind him was cut into shreds and was all over the floor because of the open window. Due to the silky curtain Ajax who tried his ever best to maintain balance fell backward and Amelia whose balance was disturbed due to Ajax, pushed him in the front to help him back on his foot but one cut piece of the curtain was behind Amelia and when she put her weight on her behind the foot to control her balance she also lost her balance and she held Ajax and so they both turned over and fell on the ground with Ajax on the floor and Amelia on top of him. But what happened next made Cole's eyes pop out of the socket. Due to the sudden imbalance, Amelia fell straight onto Ajax's chest and suddenly her lips touched the lips of Ajax. Both of them were shocked by what just happened. What was more shocking was that both of them were still in that position and were staring at each other without blinking. Cole suddenly started coughing loudly and then both of them came out of their trance Amelia quickly got up and was blushing like a tomato. Ajax was coughing and covering his face while doing that to hide his blushed face.

"See, we are on a mission. A silly mistake can ruin it. So be careful. What... What were you trying to do it just now? " Asked Cole while raising his eyebrows and folding his hands in his chest.

"We.... We were doing... Nothing.... YOU... It was your mistake... Who comes from the window? " Asked Ajax while trying to make an angry face.

"Yes, it was your fault. You should come through the door. And why did you come? The lionfish gang should be here any moment. Why did you come here? "Asked Amelia while playing with her fingers.

"I came to know that the Lionfish gang is here. They are dressed as the staff members. Be careful." Said Cole and went in swiftly from the same window before Amelia and Ajax could react to that piece of information.

"What was that? " Said Ajax in a little loud voice while still staring at the window from where Cole jumped off and then turned to Amelia who shrugged her shoulders.

The night was set, and the moon was back in the dark sky with shiny stars to accompany it. Birds were peacefully sleeping with their babies on the tree while the owl was on a night hunt. All beings were peacefully spending their night. But sleep was far away from Ajax's eyes. He was worried and his eyes became moist from time to time due to his fear of losing his brother. He gave himself confidence that everything will be alright but then again he did not have the antidote in his hands and the whereabouts of the lionfish gang is still unknown while the sun will rise in about six hours.

Amelia was also sad and afraid that what will happen in the future. Will she be able to redeem her mistake? Can she ask for forgiveness from Xander?

Many more questions were roaming in her mind and she was tightly holding her dress in her fist when she felt a hand on her fist. And she looked up and saw Ajax who gave a smile upon seeing Amelia's red eyes and tear-stained face.

"Don't worry we will save my brother. When I was feeling sad and dejected and blaming myself my brother said to me one thing - You need to make a choice. Either continue living your life feeling muddled in this abyss of self-misunderstanding, or you find your identity independent of it. "Said Ajax.

" Your brother sure has great thoughts. It helped me to relax a bit and give a little confidence.I will make sure to obtain that antidote. "said Amelia while wiping her face which was still half covered by the veil.

"Now take a rest. I have a feeling that the lionfish gang will come for us because of the way Cole described our lavishness, even someone like me who does not bother even if a person is building a golden house, will come to see us. So rest because we will have great fun in the next few hours." said Ajax upon which Amelia nodded and lay on the bed while Ajax sat on the sofa and started to meditate.

When the clock struck one, there was the noise of a lock that someone tried to open. Ajax saw that a few murmurs were heard outside their room and they were trying to unlock the door. Also, white smog was coming from under the door. Ajax knew it was the knockout gas. He woke Amelia up and whispered to her about it and they both held their breath. Amelia was still laying on the bed but Ajax also had to lay beside her as they were a couple he couldn't act to faint on the sofa as it may cause suspicion to rise. In a minute the door was opened and they were touched on their shoulders to check whether they are knocked out or not. Amelia and Ajax pretended to sleep and then they were picked up on someone's shoulders and carried. Both were awake and alert in case the people think to do something ugly. But they did not know where they are being taken to as they were blindfolded, hands tied at the back and they were in a horse cart. They were finally taken to the base of the Lionfish gang. Any person who is kidnapped will be afraid and nervous but Ajax and Amelia were determined to find the antidote and destroy the whole base. They thought about where Cole might be because he was not with them. But then it would be good that he is not kidnapped as he then might be in danger. These thoughts were in the mind of both Amelia and Ajax in different ways.

Then the horse cart stopped at a place and Amelia, Ajax pretended to be unconscious again. They were taken out and then they were placed on chairs inside a room and they heard a gruff voice that felt familiar to Ajax. Amelia had a veil around her face and black cloth on her eyes while Ajax's eyes were covered by a black cloth.

"What did you bring today? We can't sell people, you know that? " Asked the gruff voice.

"Boss, they are a very rich couple. I brought them. We can frighten them and tell them to give us money." Said a man with a groggy voice.

"Idiot, what if their family member comes and fights with us? We should have made a plan and then captured them. " Said their boss.

"Don't worry boss. This rich boy came out with another boy who the second team already caught and is behind us. They might reach anytime. " Said another man with a rough voice.

"John be careful. These noble people always have a backup set for them. "Said their boss.

" Don't worry. We are a total of eighteen in number. These three nobles can't defeat us. "Said John.

"Yes, they can't. " Said the man with a groggy voice while still munching.

"Yeah, Fatso George. Stop eating already. When is the time that you don't eat? " Said another man named Liam.

"Shut up you skinny, lamp pole. You don't know anything. This is called conservation of energy" Said George while biting into a larger piece of chicken.

Another horse cart came and two more men came and joined them. They had Cole with them blindfolded and hands tied.

"Why are these nobles so easy to capture? What a bunch of spoiled, rich kids. Can't even protect themselves" Said a man who threw Cole on the third chair harshly.

"Why are you getting hyper Michael? It's not like they are your kids. " Said John who is older than all of them but shortest in height. The four members of the Lionfish gang were the most capable among the whole gang. Except for their Boss-Ralph.

"Come on, you all. What a bunch of idiots. See we brought this beautiful lass but did not see her face. Did not even remove the veil on her face. " Said Liam while going to take the veil off Amelia's face.

Liam was nearing to remove the veil while the others were giving a vile smiles. As soon as Liam approached Amelia, she did not react but Ajax woke up and gave a hard kick to Liam's stomach. Liam flew a few meters away and the others were shocked due to the power of the kick.

"Wow, you become dangerous when someone tries to touch your girlfriend. Good that I did not think to act like a couple with her. " Said Cole while breaking the chair and freeing his hands as if it was not a big deal. All four guys were shocked. Amelia and Ajax freed themselves.

"Who said that I am his girlfriend? " Asked Amelia while dusting her gown and tying her hair from a beautiful bun to a ponytail and also removing her outer gown which was very long. So her inner gown was like a dress but a little above her knees.

"What are YOU doing?? " Asked Ajax while frowning.

"What? You expect me to fight with these morons wearing that outer heavy long gown." Said Amelia while Ajax and Cole looked at her in astonishment.

"Mo.. Moron!! Did you call us morons? " Asked John.

"Are you having a hearing problem, uncle? I clearly called you morons. Bad luck to you today. I don't have time for a good conversation. So let's get to the point. " Said Amelia and without giving anybody to think what she meant she took Liam by surprise and kicked him hard on his stomach and then started punching him badly. Even Ajax and Cole were surprised by her sudden attack. After beating Liam for a few minutes she took out her halide and placed it under Liam's neck.

"You four seem very close to me. Surely you won't want to see your brother die. I don't need something big from you. Just a small bottle will do the work. " Said Amelia while harshly holding Liam and pressing her halide more deeply near his neck.

"Wait!! We will give you whatever you want. Name it" Said Michael.

"I want the antidote to 'Silent death'. Give me that " Commanded Amelia. Ajax and Cole were taken aback by the courage and daring nature of Amelia.

"Here, I have it. Release Liam. " Said Michael while showing a bottle of glass with a transparent liquid in it.

Amelia made a small cut on Liam's neck and pinched Liam from behind which was not seen by anyone and Liam screamed.

"I AM GIVING YOU THE ANTIDOTE. THEN WHY ARE YOU HURTING HIM? DO YOU WANT TO DIE?" Shouted Michael.

"I was just checking whether you are saying the truth or not. I can't be fooled twice. Throw the antidote and I will release your brother" Said Amelia. Michael threw the glass bottle and Ajax caught it. Amelia also released Liam who went towards Michael and hid behind him.

"Thanks. And sorry for the trouble. We will leave now. "Said Amelia while taking Ajax's hand in hers and then walking away.

" Just if my member gave you the antidote it does not mean that you will be allowed to go. "Said the boss coming into the room.

" Capture them. We can sell these girls and boys as slaves. All of them have a good physique. We will get a good amount. "Said the boss.

The four members surrounded the three and were ready to attack.

" Hey, this boy seems familiar to me. Isn't he then the one from whom we were trying to steal a book and then his brother with the power of teleportation rescued him? "Said John.

" Yes... Oh!! What a coincidence brother. Now we can take revenge for our embarrassment. "Said George.

" Let's see who will pay this time. "Said Ajax and an intense fight was about to start. With three hours left for the sun to rise Ajax and Amelia need to fasten up and save Xander. How will they? Why did Cole take the initiative to help them?
