Sonya walk in with coffee for them and serve everyone then took a sit next to Maxwell.

"I thought your assistant will be present here with us" Adam asked.

"he is busy with other things, so he wont join us. This is Sonya, my secretary. She will be incharge" he replied.

"or do you have a problem with that?"

"no, its just that this is a very big project and I don't think its should be handled by someone new" he said again.

"really?" Maxwell said in a mean tone. Elliot noticed and quickly interfere.

"Mr hart, we don't mean it that way. And besides, I was very happy when you contacted us again and said you were interested in working with us. Am sure my assistant is just anxious about the project. I hope you don't mind" he said and Adam handed a file over to him.

"this is the proposal we made concerning the project" he said and handed it to Sonya.

"explain the basic first, then my secretary will set a date with you for another meeting for you to present it" he said and Elliot starts to talk. After more than an hour, Maxwell motion for him to stop. "is there any problem?"

"not exactly, why don't we stop here for today and we can continue another day" he said. Elliot wanted to complain but decide otherwise. Due to the fact that Philip was exposed has really affected his company. Because of Philip help he was able to work with a very big company like this, but after what happened, they cut the connection between them and the shares he has in the company through illegal means was seized by Maxwell. When he receive a call from him about the same project after he rejected him, he was so happy and did not want anything that can jeopardize it.

"we hope that you will contact us soon" he said and stood up with Adam.

"miss Benetton. Please escort them out" he said facing Sonya. Elliot pause in his step.

"your surname is Benetton?" he asked facing her. Sonya nodded yes at him. "Sonya Benetton" he asked again.

"yes, why?" she answered.

"nothing, its a beautiful name" he said and bade Maxwell bye and they left.

"Mr Elliot, will leave you now. And as soon as I set a another date, I will contact you" Sonya said with a smile and turn to leave. "what about your parents?" Elliot asked. Sonya turn back to him. "my mum is late but my dad is alive somewhere" she answered and smiled politely before leaving. Soya went back directly to maxwell's office.

"so were you able to check out if he remembers you?" Maxwell said to her still sitting in the position she left him. Sonya sat down beside him.

"I cant say for sure. But when he heard my name he has a kind of reaction like he was shocked" she answered.

"well, why don't you want to meet him formally, like see him and talk to him" he asked.

"actually, that's what I wanted to do immediately I find him, but he has a family. And I remember his wife came to our house back then to warn my mom, so I don't want any trouble for him or me" she explained.

"wait! He has another woman when he was still with your mom?" Maxwell asked surprised. Sonya sigh before she answered him. "apparently, my mom was the third party.""Sofia! Come out this minute" Elliot shouted immediately he entered the house. Emma, his daughter came out from the kitchen to meet him.

"dad, why are you shouting mom's name like that?" she said and Sofia also came out behind her.

"dear, why are you shouting? How was the stuff you told me about?" she asked and move closer to hug him.

"don't" he said angrily. Sofia and Emma was surprised. Elliot as never shouted at Sofia or any of them before.

"what's the problem?" Sofia said worried.

"we need to talk, and right now!" he said and head to their room. "go back to the kitchen and wrap things up for me" Sofia told Emma and followed him. She entered the room and lock the door. "can you please tell me why Sonya is still alive and not dead" he said.

"what! What are you talking about? Who is Sonya?" Sofia asked confused.

"really? You are asking who Sonya is, in case you've forgotten which I think you've not, I will remind you. The daughter you gave birth to for that stupid man called Benetton" he answered raising his voice. Sofia was shocked.

"where do you see her? She is dead and I confirmed it. What are you saying?" she said also raising her voice but in a worried tone. "dead? I saw her today in flesh and blood. She is very much alive and in this country. Have you been taking care of her behind my back? Even if she is alive, why is she here in this country and same state with us" he asked again.

"I don't know, I really have no knowledge about it" she replied. Elliot pace round the room and finally sat down. He pat the space beside and motion for Sofia to sit. She move and sat down beside him.

"my darling wife, I believe you. You don't know anything about it right?" he asked. Sofia nodded her head to indicate yes.

"then Sonya must die" he said as a matter of finality

"Are you serious? How can you even think about killing her?" Sofia snap at him angrily.

"why are you getting angry? She is supposed to be dead. Or are you suddenly trying to act like a mother after all this years" he also snap back.

"this is not about me trying to be a mother, the thing is there is no need to do anything to her. She already lost her father. And she does not even recognize you" she said to make him reason with her.

"but she recognizes you. Remember she thinks you are dead, what if you run into her how are you going to explain it. Do you want everything we have spent years building to fall apart just because of her?"

"you are thinking too much. Even if she sees me or anything, she is not going to believe that her dead mother raise from the dead again. Also she wont know anything if no one tells her. This thing is only between the both of us."

"mom, dad, dinner is ready" Emma called from outside. Elliot and Sofia were shocked.

They've forgotten that she was also in the house with them. Sofia quickly open the door.

"Emma,how long have you been here?" she ask with a smile.

"I got here just now, why?" she answered. "nothing, lets go your dad will join us very soon" she said and they both went to the dinning. Elliot pick his phone and dialed a number.

"hello, help me find out everything you can from this name, Sonya Benetton. Find out everything about her. She is in her twenties" Elliot said and also walk out to the dinning table.
