Day 2: Special! Neko Neko Hot Chocolate!

Kyorise groaned and walked out to the storefront hearing hissing and hostile meowing. She noticed Momo and Miki getting into it once again. "Not this again." Kyorise sighed then threw her book at them.

"MROW!!" Miki groaned as the book hit her head. She whined and held her head. "What was that for..?!"

"You two wouldn't shut up. Sigh..when is Yonori-Senpai coming back. I can't keep up with you all." Kyorise sighed. "Know what I have an idea. You two meet me in the kitchen. The cafe is nearing opening time, and I have a new recipe I want to try."

"R-Right." Miki stood up then huffed, turning her nose up at Momo.

Momo huffed then followed Kyorise into the kitchen.

"Alright the new recipe I have in mind is called the Neko Neko Hot Chocolate. It's my little spin on the world renowned Hot Chocolate." Kyorise smiled.

Both cat girls tilted their heads and looked at Kyorise confused.

"Let me show you how I will make it. So first I will chop up the milk chocolate bars until it is powdery." Kyorise said as she put on her apron then began to chop up the chocolate bars. "I like to get the chocolate powder ready before getting everything else ready."

The girls watched as Kyorise chopped up the chocolate bars into powder. Their tails swayed as they watched with great interest.

"Alright, now that's done...I will place the eye on the stove on medium heat." Kyorise said as she turned on the stove. "Now while the stove heats up, I will get the rest of the ingredients. What I use is whole milk, heavy cream, vanilla extract, brown sugar, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, corn starch, and whipped cream."

The girls watched Kyorit quickly fetch the ingredients she needed. Kyorise went to the stove and they followed, watching carefully.

"To start I will pour the milk chocolate powder in then pour a splash of whole milk with it and let it heat up over the medium heat. Now I will add the granulated sugar and cocoa powder in then stir occasionally until it is melted." Kyorise said as she stirred the mixture once in a while then went to grab a bowl from the cabinet then stirred the mixture one last time. "Now I will mix the corn starch with a splash of whole milk."

She noticed her chocolate was melted so she added the rest of her milk slowly and whisking it constantly. She whisked it until the liquid was nice and hot then she mixed in the corn starch slurry. She added a dash of brown sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of heavy cream then continued to heat and whisk until it was thickened. She grabbed a spoon generally used for punch bowls to scoop the hot chocolate out the pot poured it into two small mugs then decorated it with whipped cream and dusted it with cocoa powder. She placed two cat chocolate ears on top of the whipped cream then handed Miki and Momo a mug.

"Try it. Tell me what you think." Kyorise smiled.

They looked at the mugs then took a sip of the hot chocolate. They gave really content sighs and blushed alot.

"It tastes like I'm with master, sitting in front of a fireplace, cuddled against him and enjoying a good book on a winter afternoon." Miki purred.

"This really reminds me of Mistress Hina when she made hot chocolate during the winters.." Momo said.

Kyorise smiled then heard the door chime. She walked to the front and took off her apron. "Yonori-Senpai, you're back." She smiled at me and Aya.

"Luckily made it back before opening hours." I smiled then held up a bag. "I went to Paradis du chocolat to get the chocolate you needed for your recipe. I think we might be getting some special guests. Neko Neko Teatime has been the talk of the town recently."

"Really? That's great news! Oh yeah! Mom is coming to town this Christmas! Mom and Sumiko! I'm so excited! Eeee! She's gonna be so happy to see how our cafe is doing!" Kyorise hopped up and down happily.

"That's great news! We would be together again for the holidays. We should decorated and- Oh! We should wear Christmas Outfits as well!" I suggested.

"Perfect!" Kyorise giggled. "It's almost opening time. Kana! Suki! The cafe is opening! Time to get ready!"

Suki barked letting us know she got the word. Kana meowed loudly letting us know she heard Kyorise.

Suki set down her controller then began to get prepared for the work day. Kana untangled herself from the yarn she was playing with then got ready.

I flipped the sign to open then smiled. I was on cashier duty today and Kyorise was on waitress duty. Aya helped me on the cashier duty. The other girls got to their position.

Some people walked into the cafe.

"Welcome to Neko Neko Teatime! Our special today is Neko Neko Hot Chocolate." Kyorise smiled then froze seeing a woman walk in the cafe.

A woman with very pale skin and a beauty mole under her left eye walked inside the cafe. She had long blonde hair with red and blue highlights that was styled in a single french braid. She smiled and looked around.

" Oh mon Dieu, alors c'est le célèbre café d'Iwakawa? It looks so pretty." The woman smiled.

"Y-You're...Florence Delacroix..! The woman who is like...super famous for her world famous chocolate with the help of Clarissa Saint-Yze!" Kyorise said in shock.

The people murmured in shock. No one expected her to be in the area.

"It's rumored that this woman crossed some barrier to live on Earth and started her own business here with her best friend." A man said.

"I believe it...beauty like hers doesn't truly exist on Earth." A woman said.

"O-Our special is the Neko Neko Hot Chocolate." Kyorise said, nervous as she is a fan of Florence.

"Really? Then I shall take one." She smiled then looked at me.

I blushed then looked at the money in her hands. "Ah...It's only $1.50. You are giving us..$5000?"

"I want to see your business succeed. Buy new land and expand from just beverages and pastries. In no time, your cafe will be in a partnership with my business." She smiled.

I gently took the cash from her hand then nodded. I hurried off to get her order then came back with a plastic cup and a straw with paper towels. "Your order."

"Merci." She nodded and smiled as she took her order from my hands. She walked off and the people in line stepped out of her way.

I watched her then looked at everyone in line. Everyone began to want the Neko Neko Hot Chocolate. Kyorise smiled with pure joy then Suki went to the kitchen to help with the orders.

In a matter of hours, the last customer left with her order happily. Miki sighed and sat at a table then stretched. Momo sat at the same table and smiled.

"A purrfect day." Miki smiled and laid her head down on the table. "I didn't expect such an important figure to arrive like that."

"Me neither. When you said special guest, I thought you meant like an old friend or something along those lines. How did you manage to get THE Florence to stop by?" Kyorise asked as she looked at me.

I split the money earned evenly into different envelopes and smiled. "I was at her shop and told her about our cafe. The moment she heard the name, she exploded with glee as if she's been waiting to visit. After the first day, we began to catch the eyes of many." I walked to each of the girls to hand them their paycheck.

"I see. Well thank you, now we have enough money to expand on our cafe! What do you think we should add?" Kyorise asked.

"Sandwiches! Something fast and easy! We can call it the Neko Neko Sandwich!" Kana said happily.

"Any objections?" Kyorise asked.

"None here." Momo smiled.

"Sounds good to me." Miki shrugged.

"I don't mind." Suki said.

"I...I think it's a good idea." Aya said timidly.

"Neko Neko Sandwiches it is." I smiled. "Time to get some ingredients for the sandwiches now." I said then placed my hands in my pockets. "I'll get started on renovations tomorrow."

Kyorise nodded then smiled at me. "I'll help out. We probably would need to build a bigger outside area and upgrade the kitchen. We are getting so big we might as well begin upgrading our cafe."

"I was thinking the same thing." I chuckled. "We can plan all day tomorrow. The next work day probably won't be happening for a few days so everyone you're free to do whatever for the next few days."

"Okay!" The other girls responded.

Suki and Kana retreated back upstairs while Miki went to clean up and Momo fell asleep at the table. Aya watched me and Kyorise and followed us wherever we went and her tail swayed from side to side with contentment.
