Miki stared outside and had her hands on the window. I came out the bathroom after taking a shower and getting dressed then sighed and opened my eyes to look at Miki. Her tail swayed and she gave a soft sigh. I walked towards her and rubbed her hair a bit. She blushed and looked at me.
"What's the matter?" I asked.
"It's raining." Miki puffed her cheeks a bit.
"And?" I tilted my head.
"Shop will be closed all day...I don't want shop to be closed all day.." Miki pouted.
I looked outside and ruffled Miki's hair then took her hand. She looked at our hands and blushed hard. I walked her out of the room and downstairs into the cafe then sat her down in a chair. I turned the lights on and she watched, curiously. I walked in the kitchen and took out a tea kettle and filled it with water. I turned the stove on then placed the kettle on the stove. I opened a box of hot chocolate then took out a cup, setting it on the table. I slightly leaned on the table then crossed my arms and closed my eyes.
Miki looked outside and rested her cheek against the palm of hand then sighed softly. After a few minutes of waiting, I walked out the kitchen with Miki's cup of hot chocolate then set it on the table.
"Your hot chocolate. It's on the house." I smiled then sat beside Miki. "Careful it's hot."
Miki looked at the hot chocolate and grabbed the handle of her mug then gently blew on the hot chocolate and took a sip. She smiled and looked at me happily.
"You used the Enriched Milk!" Miki said in excitement.
"I was gonna use water...but then I just decided to use milk. It's more delicious with milk." I smiled at her.
She giggled the set her mug down and looked at me. She moved her chair closer to me and leaned closer to me. I looked at her and rose an eyebrow.
"Meowster...I.." Miki got closer.
"Woof." Suki barked in her monotone voice as she watched us.
"I just remembered I have some cleaning to do!" Miki blushed madly and ran off.
"What..?" I watched Miki run off and turned back to see Suki walk down the steps and walk towards me. "Good morning Suki."
"Good morning, Master." Suki got on her knees and laid her head on my lap. "Pet me."
I chuckled and pet Suki. Her tail began wagging quickly as I pet her. I began to scratch the back of her neck and she started drooling and blushing. Her tail wagged even faster now than it did before.
"You're gonna break your tail, wagging it that fast." I said.
"I can't help it. It feels so wonderful when you scratch there." Suki said as she panted a bit.
I stopped scratching and she stood up then turned around and hit my face with her tail then ran off somewhere. I had to take some of her fur from my mouth. I looked outside and watched the rain fall.
"Kyorise, Momo, and Kana must still be asleep. Kyorise isn't really a rain person...Momo is just lazy on days off. Kana...I wonder what she's doing." I asked myself.
I stood up and walked towards the stairs then heard a loud crash in her room. I blinked then ran up the stairs and towards Kana's room. I saw Kana on the floor playing with a ball of yarn. She had yarn all over her body. I leaned against the door frame and just watched her. I gave her a few more minutes before I cleared my throat and she looked at me.
"Master! Look at this!" Kana ran towards me happily. "What is this thing?!"
"A ball of yarn." I answered.
"Whoa...It's so fun to play with!" Kana smiled happily.
I smiled then and walked off and Kana followed. I walked down stairs and walked in the kitchen then saw Miki cooking breakfast. She looked at me and I blushed from how cute she looked. Suki helped Miki by washing the dishes. I chuckled and walked out of the kitchen.
"Mmm...Morning." Momo yawned as she walked downstairs.
"Good morning, Momo." I waved.
"Hi, Meowster." Momo walked towards me and sat in a chair beside me. She yawned and laid her head down.
"If you're so tired, go back upstairs and sleep." I looked at her.
"Can't...Ms. Kyorise dragged me out of bed." Momo pouted.
"I don't see the reason why she did so. It's a rainy day, we don't open on rainy days like this." I chuckled and rubbed her head.
"Tell Ms. Kyorise that.." Momo yawned and looked at me.
I looked at her then poked her cheek and stood by the window and watched the rain. "How about we all do something fun?"
"Like what?" Momo asked.
"How about we play a game?" I looked back and smiled.
They all looked at each other then back at me. Kyorise walked down the stairs and looked at us. I walked off to get a board game, Kyorise and I played all the time as kids.
"Here we go." I smiled as I picked up a box. I walked back to the others and sat the table. I set the box down on the table then opened it.
Momo tilted her head and looked at the box. "What is this game?"
"It's an old game Kyorise and I used to play all the time as kids called Conquest. We loved this game. You can play it with at least four people. This game mixes this game's mechanics with the game War and also has rewards if you win." I said then looked at everyone.
"Huh...let's play!" Momo sat up.
I set up the board game and set down four pieces on the board and set down the dice. I heard Suki howling and got up to go check up on her. I went into the kitchen and Suki looked at me. "What's the matter, pup?" I ruffled her hair and smiled.
"Master, we've finished. Praise me." Suki said.
"You did a very good job." I smiled and watched her tail wag happily.
Miki brought the food to the tables and we all decided to eat before playing the game I set out. Miki made enriched milk pancakes with maple bacon and scrambled eggs.
"Wow. This looks really good." Kyorise smiled at Miki.
"Thank you, Ms. Kyorise." Miki blushed and smiled.
We all sat down at the table and dug into our food. I took a bit then smiled. Miki looked at me and waited for my judgement.
"It's delicious." I smiled at Miki.
She blushed and nodded then quickly looked back down at her plate and ate her food.
....
We all finished our food and I began to collect the plates and walked to the kitchen. I set the plates in the sink and began to wash them. Momo walked into the kitchen as well then stood beside me and bumped her hip into mine.
I chuckled and looked at her then back at the dishes I was washing. "What? Got tired of waiting already?"
Her tail swayed a bit then her cat ears twitched. "No...I just wanted to know if there was any way I could help you."
I looked around and saw everything sparkling. "Suki and Miki are pretty efficient when they work the kitchen. They pretty much clean as they go. I guess if I had to ask for help, I would need help making snacks for everyone."
Momo nodded and smiled then skipped to the pantry then slipped. "MROW!"
I caught her and she looked up at me, blushing. "Careful. Pretty sure that area hasn't dried yet."
"Thank you, Master." Momo smiled.
I smiled back then helped her up. She looked in the pantry and took out cookie mix and other ingredients and supplies she needed to make cookies.
"It's almost Christmas so I wanna make treats that get us in the spirit then when December actually hits, we can decorate the cafe and house!" Momo smiled at me.
"Mmm." I nodded then placed my hands in my jacket pockets. "You do realize December will be our busiest month right?"
"Wait what?" Momo tilted her head.
"That's when all the parents and kids wanna come and get a lot of pastries because I know some parents that have work the day before Christmas. That means we have to make a lot of pastries." I smiled and crossed my arms.
"Ohh okay!" Momo smiled.
"Man you're good at this, Ms. Kyorise. I can't seem to beat you." Miki said as she sat on the other side of the table playing Conquest with Kyorise.
"Well this game is purely luck, so you can say I've just been getting lucky." Kyorise giggled and looked at Miki then noticed the door opening.
I walked out the kitchen and rubbed the back of my head. "Sorry we're clo-" I opened my eyes then noticed a fox girl standing at the door all wet and shaking.
Her hair was golden brown, meaning her fox ears and tail are also golden brown. She wore a jacket where the sleeves hung off her shoulder and had on a black t-shirt with blue jeans and tennis shoes on.
"Come here, sit down. I'll fetch you a towel and some tea." I said then led then fox girl to a chair.
...
I wrapped the girl with a towel and set down a cup of tea in front of her. "Are you okay? Do you have a name?"
"I'm...Aya." She said and looked at me. "Will you be my new master?"
I looked at her then crossed my arms. I looked at her a bit surprised. She had puppy eyes as she looked at me. I rubbed her head then sighed and smiled. "Alright, just stop with the eyes. I already got one dog here who does that constantly."
She nodded and smiled happily. "Thank you!"
