Namikaze Minato handed a scroll to Yamanaka Haiichi with a calm but resolute demeanor.
"Three days," he said. "Three days is enough."
Yamanaka Haiichi nodded and left swiftly, scroll in hand.
Konoha's forces moved out without any disguise or subterfuge, heading directly toward Sunagakure with overwhelming momentum.
"What is Konoha doing? Is this list serious?"
Hei Zetsu, holding the intelligence report from his subordinates, was dumbfounded. Previously, he had freely shared Konoha's movements with other ninja villages—Kumogakure, Amegakure, Iwagakure, and Sunagakure—to stir discord and weaken Konoha.
The other villages had indeed reacted, targeting Konoha's ninjas on missions, even hiring mercenaries to harass them. Despite these hostilities, Konoha had always responded with restraint, resorting to diplomatic measures to ease tensions.
But now, Black Zetsu couldn't believe what he was seeing.
The names on the list of Konoha's forces heading to Sunagakure sent a chill down his spine:
Uchiha Madara Uchiha Fugaku Sakumo Hatake Orochimaru Jiraiya Soya Inuzuka Shimi Aburame Choza Akimichi
And leading them were ten elite medical ninjas, including Tsunade and Reiki.
Their target was clear—Sunagakure Village.
"Are they planning to annihilate Sunagakure Village?" Hei Zetsu muttered in disbelief.
"Sir, should we try to stop them?" one of the black market staff asked nervously.
"Stop them? Are you insane?" Hei Zetsu snapped. "Even with just Uchiha Madara, we wouldn't stand a chance, let alone the rest of that lineup."
He shuddered to think of what Uchiha Madara might be capable of after using the potions provided by Reiki.
Another staff member interjected, "There's more information, sir. The village Tsunade purchased—Yucun—is also involved. Nawaki, her brother, is on his way there now."
"Nawaki, the 'Thousand-Arm Nawaki'? Hmm..." Hei Zetsu fell silent, pondering.
He finally shook his head. "We'll let this play out. The other villages won't sit idly by. Let's watch for now."
Amegakure
"Lord Hanzo, Konoha is mobilizing against Sunagakure. And it's..."
Yahiko handed the list to Hanzo, his face filled with worry. As the leader of the Akatsuki organization, now integrated into Amegakure's administration, Yahiko understood the gravity of the situation.
Hanzo scanned the list, stunned.
"Konoha is deploying this level of force?" he said, incredulous. "I thought they'd just issue threats. Nobody wants another war right now. But this..."
The team Konoha had assembled wasn't a show of force—it was an invasion force, one capable of obliterating Sunagakure entirely.
"Hanzo-sama, we should contact Konoha and negotiate," Yahiko suggested. "We're allies on paper. Maybe we can de-escalate this situation before it spirals out of control."
Hanzo, however, was in no mood for diplomacy.
"I have my own plans," he snapped, dismissing Yahiko.
Yahiko frowned but complied, leaving to return to the Akatsuki organization.
"Someone, get in touch with those two," Hanzo ordered, his frustration mounting. "I want their advice on what to do next."
Yahiko returned to the Akatsuki base, his mood grim.
"Failed?" Nagato asked, approaching him with concern.
"Yes," Yahiko sighed. "Hanzo won't listen. I'm worried about what's coming next."
Nagato placed a reassuring hand on Yahiko's shoulder. "Not everyone in Amegakure supports Hanzo's warmongering. There may still be a way to protect the village without resorting to violence."
Yahiko shook his head. "Not now, Nagato. Akatsuki must remain a force for peace. We can't afford to fall into the darkness."
Kumogakure
"Konoha is moving against Sunagakure?" The Third Raikage smirked, exuding confidence. "Perfect. This is exactly what we wanted."
To him, Sunagakure was a sacrificial pawn, a means to draw Konoha into action and justify an attack. In his view, Kumogakure's role as the guardian of peace in the ninja world demanded it.
"Lord Raikage, I think we should reconsider," Krall, one of his advisors, said cautiously. "We should end this scheme and seek cooperation with Konoha. Their current strength is overwhelming, and their victory will only make them stronger."
The Third Raikage's expression hardened. "No. If we wait any longer, Konoha will grow too powerful for anyone to challenge. This is our best chance."
Krall sighed but knew it was futile to argue further.
Iwagakure
In Iwagakure, Ohnoki was already preparing to intercept Konoha's forces at Sunagakure.
"I'll face them myself," the aged Tsuchikage declared. He had his own reasons—facing Uchiha Madara was a personal test, a chance to confront the fear that had haunted him for decades.
"Uchiha Madara may be strong, but he's old," Ohnoki muttered to himself, steeling his resolve.
As Konoha's forces marched toward Sunagakure, the ninja world watched with bated breath. The major villages scrambled to react, some seeking to intervene, others bracing for the fallout.
The tides of history were shifting, and the balance of power in the ninja world was on the verge of upheaval.
