We quickly made our way to the closest training ground, in our compound, which wasn't very far and took less than a minute to get to. Once there I stopped in the middle of the ground and turned around to see my mother looking at me with a suspicious gaze.

"I never thought I would see the day you willingly went to a training ground." she joked while looking at me.

"That hurts." I faked pain by holding my heart.

"I'm sorry." My mother immediately said curling up into a fetal position. "As repentance, I will kowtow a hundred times"

"Wait, it was a joke!" I hurriedly say before she could do it.

"Oh, what did you want to show me then?" she asked as she immediately returned to normal like she wasn't about to give herself brain damage.

'I have to be more careful' I told myself as I shook my head.

"This!" I yelled as I made the hare seal "Speed Release"

As soon as I finished the seal I felt my lower body begin to slightly change. My legs began to feel lighter and more flexible, at the same time my joints felt sturdier. When I looked down I could see that my thighs and calves had bulked up significantly, while the skin on my ankles had become rigid. It looked similar to the armored titan.

"Ahh!" my mother shouted.

I quickly looked up to see her covering her mouth with her face as tears started forming in her eyes.

"Wait, wait mom it's not-" but before I could continue she had me wrapped in her arms.

"I'm so proud of you!" she praised as she hugged me. I was too stunned to say anything and just enjoyed benign wrapped in her arms.

"I knew you were special, I told your father to just give you time." She wiped the tears from her eyes as she let go of me.

"Ok, ok, enough from me. Show me what your Kekkei Genkai can do. I've never heard of one that changes the lower body like yours." She said as she took a few steps back

"Hai!" is shouted and pumped me up. I knew what the speed release would allow me to do but it was my first time trying it so I was a little nervous. After a few seconds, I took off.

Itama took a step and then his figure blurred and the next thing his mother saw was him standing in front of her with a bright smile. Before she could react he disappeared again and reappeared at the opposite end of the training ground. He then started to sprint at incredible speeds around the circular training ground with only after images of his body were being visible. Occasionally he would make abrupt stops and change to the opposite direction. When he was finished he appeared back in his original position.

It took a second for his mother to realize that he was standing back in front of her.

"Ah!" she screamed in surprise.

"How was it?" he asked with a bright smile.

"Y-you you were so fast. I couldn't even keep up with you. All I saw were after images." his mother replied.

"Really? Only afterimages? I wasn't even going at full speed." Itama asked surprised.

He could tell that his mom was having a hard time keeping up with him but he didn't think that she couldn't even tell where he was. This surprised him greatly, while this era didn't have a way to categorize shinobi now. He knew that in the next era his mother would at least be considered a jonin, if not higher. Even in her weakened state, she still probably had the combat strength of a chunin, she just no longer had the stamina to keep up anymore.

While Itama was sure that he would get his ass handed to him by a standard genin if he was to fight them on equal ground. That just how pathetic the memories he received were.

"Not even full speed he says…." Itama heard his mother whisper causing him to look up at her. She had gone into a fetal position and mumbled to herself about how useless she was now.

"Can't even see my weakest son anymore, I am the weakest. I might as well through myself in front of an Uchiha sword and let it be over," she mumbled to herself.

"Jesus Christ" Itama sighed to himself as he looked at his mom. He couldn't bother improving her mood right now so he just decided to move on.

"Mom!" he called getting her attention.

"Huh?" she looked up at him with a depressed expression

"Throw a kunai at me" he commanded.

She looked at him puzzled before standing up with a serious expression and throwing a kunai as hard as she could.

"What the fu-" he was caught off guard by how fast she threw and barely had time to prepare.

"Kinetic Release: Absorb" he made the horse seal and once my chakra had been funneled in a purple three-dimensional sphere formed in front of me. I quickly brought it up to my face where the kunai was heading straight for. And just in time I was able to move the sphere in front of my face and stop the kunai in its tracks and causing it to fall.

"Ha…ha…ha" I breathed deeply after the situation. I had used a lot of chakra to create the orb and with the extra fear of death, I had exhausted myself in just a few seconds.

"You could've killed m- Uhh mom are you ok?" I had to ask since she was staring at me as if I was some sort of Otsutsuki alien or something.

"What was that?" she asked me with an unusually stern expression.

"U-umm it's an ability I awakened when I woke up. It's called Kinetic Release. I can absorb and release kinetic energy with it. There's a bit more I can do but it would take a while to explain." I truthfully answered. I saw no point in lying, if I couldn't trust my own mother with the truth then there was no one in this world I could trust. And that sounds like a terrible life.

"Haah, ok. Follow me, but you better tell me everything. You understand?" she told me.

I nodded and followed her back home.
