Chapter 26

"That particular Kekei Genkai bloodline would be strengthened resulting in purer bloodline with stronger capabilities."

Yakumo pondered over Yuu's statement before finally asking him to follow her. They left the room after Yakumo stored Minamoto's body in a scroll and immediately entered the next one where another demon-looking figure could be seen bound by chains similar to the Minamoto in the previous room. Yakumo performed the same seals and just like with Minamoto, the demon transformed except this time it was into a beautiful middle aged woman who just like Minamoto agreed to have her life taken by Yuu for the betterment of the clan. This continued until finally after Yuu had killed the 20th member of the Kurama clan bound in the rooms beneath the house, Yakumo decided to stop for now in order to allow Yuu time to better digest his gains.

"Why do you have them live in such outstanding rooms?" asked Yuu as they left the underground solitary centre.

"Because they are not prisoners but merely unlucky members of my clan who were overtaken by their own bloodline hence transforming them into monsters. Thanks to my clan's own unique fuinjutsu, I am able to return them to normal an hour a day and hence in that solitary hour, I would like to give them as much rest and peace if possible, hence the well-furnished isolation rooms. It's the least I can do for them given how much they suffer." Said Yakumo.

They soon arrived back to where they started and after exiting the door in the wall, they walked together until finally reaching the front of the house.

"When you completely finish assimilating your new gains, come find me in this house. We can begin your training then." She said to which Yuu nodded.

They both bade each other farewell with Yuu leaving the compound and Yakumo retreating back into her home.

Later that same night, an Anbu ninja quietly snuck into the office of the Hokage where Hiruzen could be seen going through a few documents on his desk.

On the sofa next to him was Danzo who was also going through a list of documents. The two of them had been seating together in silence for the past two hours until finally a ninja appeared in the middle of the room. The ninja kneeled on the ground on one knee and paid his respects to Hiruzen and Danzo.

"So what were you able to find out Tortoise?" asked Hiruzen. The ninja wearing a tortoise mask begin to narrate everything he had observed ever since Yuu left the training grounds alongside the Kurama clan Jonin.

"So you weren't able to find out anything after Yuu entered the Kurama clan compound?"

"Yes Hokage-sama. There were a few Kurama clan shinobi on constant watch the entire time and given the fact that almost all of them were excellent sensors, I couldn't sneak into the compound to observe more of Yuu's actions. After he left the compound, he headed straight home, had some leftover food for dinner and went to sleep. Nothing from what I've observed so far was out of the ordinary for a normal Genin child."

"I see. Thank you, Tortoise, you may leave now." He said after which the ninja bowed before quickly flickering away.

"So, what do you think Danzo?"

Danzo looked towards Hiruzen with a stern look on his face "While his behaviour was normal we can't rule out the fact that he was merely pretending as he has been shown to fool even veteran Jonin before. The fact that a little boy managed to hide his capabilities right under out noses is worrying and the fact that said boy is now affiliated in a master-student discipleship with the Kurama clan is even more concerning as despite the Kurama clan's current state, it was once feared as one of the strongest clans in the world sometimes considered to be even more dangerous than the Uchiha, Senju and Uzumaki clans due to their potent Genjutsu.

I don't like the fact that such a terrifying clan is now making contact with our shinobi geniuses and attracting them to it. I fear that something serious is going on in the Kurama clan and as the protectors of Konoha, we need to know everything about it "

Hiruzen nodded as he felt exactly the same way "So what do you suggest we do?"

"Due to the current volatile state of the clans in Konoha due to the Uchiha incident, we can't try anything that might sow further discord within the village hence when Yuu goes on his first mission outside the village, inform me so that I may send some root members who will capture him and bring him to Root where we will read his memories in order to find out his secret conversations with the Kurama clan."

Hiruzen sighed sadly at Danzo's plan yet hypocritically nodded his head allowing him to carry out his plan. "Alright but don't take him to root, bring him to hidden facility number 23 just outside Konoha where you and I will read his memories together." Said Hiruzen as he gave Danzo a strict order. He knew that if he let Danzo take him to root, he might forcibly induct Yuu into the root and Hiruzen didn't wish to lose yet another genius especially a genius of Yuu's calibre to Danzo hence his strict conditions.

Danzo clicked his tongue in annoyance but still agreed to Hiruzen's demands. "Very well" he said as he slowly walked out of the office leaving Hiruzen all alone in it.

'The things I do for Konoha' thought Hiruzen as he smoked his pipe while gazing at the bustling night-life occurring below him.

Three months later, Yuu could be seen heading towards shinobi headquarters alongside his 'jonin leader' Keiichi Kurama. Today the two of them would be undertaking their first outside mission together. After having finished assimilating everything from the 20 slain Kurama members, Yuu had become even stronger. His physique had advanced from mid Chunin all the way to low Jonin level which was a huge leap. This would have been higher had it not been for the fact that Kurama clan shinobi possessed weak physiques. In fact if it wasn't for the fact that there was a rare Kurama clan member who possessed a low level jonin physique among those he killed he would have had a Peak Chunin level physique at most. His chakra level on the other hand had grown to mid Jonin level. This was because the Kurama clan known for its Genjutsu, and weak bodies focused mostly on improving their chakra levels and hence had high chakra levels compared to the average clans. Yuu had been lucky to kill a jonin Kurama clan member with mid Jonin level chakra after which he had focussed all the chakra gained from the remaining members into increasing his chakra density. At this moment his chakra was so dense that if one were to check his chakra, they would almost mistake him for a very small and weak Tailed beast. That was how dense his current chakra was.
