Naruto: A True Monster

In a land of fire battlefield, a little boy could be seen glancing at the dead body of a woman whose warm blood still flowed freely from the gaping wound in her chest. His eyes bore confusion as to what was currently going on around him. All around him he could see dead bodies sprawled all over, their eyes vacant and soulless. He appeared to be in a small village of sorts however judging by the dozens of bodies before him, he seemed to be the only survivor. The boy suddenly doubled over in pain clutching his head as a massive headache erupted from his skull along with a stream of memories. After a few minutes the headache subsided but the memories remained imprinted in his mind.

His name was Yuu Sakamoto and he was currently standing in one of the small villages located within the land of fire which also happened to be his home or rather the home of the body he was currently occupying. The truth of the matter was that he wasn't the real Yuu Sakamoto but was rather another soul who had possessed his body after the real Sakamoto was killed alongside the rest of the villagers. The person inside Yuu's body was actually a person who was from a planet called Earth which was vastly different from his current location. Judging by the memories he had received, the soul appeared to be in the world of Naruto. A world filled with violence, carnage, schemes and death throughout most of its history.

Yuu however couldn't begin to worry about such things as he heard a rustling sound from a nearby bush. He immediately grabbed a nearby axe from one of the dead villagers and slowly approached the bush. His heart was beating so loudly that Yuu could barely hear the sound of his footsteps. Eventually he came to stand before the bush and after a few seconds of deliberation, he parted the bush only to be met with the sight of a heavily injured boy. The boy seemed to be around 14 years old and wore a black hoodie, black pants. On his waist belt was two small bags and a sheathed dagger. On his head was a metal headband with a symbol which Yuu recognized as the headband symbol of Kumogakure.

'This boy must be a Kumogakure shinobi' thought Yuu.

The boy noticed Yuu and immediately tried to reach for one of his waist bags only for his hand to limply fall on his side in exhaustion. The boy heaved a sigh as he glanced at the boy, already aware of his fate. Just as the shinobi had suspected, Yuu after a brief pause of hesitation, approached the boy and with a poker face containing cold eyes, brought down his axe slicing cleanly into the boy's neck, decapitating his head. Yuu watched the light faded from the boy's eyes. He was just about to search the body for anything useful when he felt a burning pain across his entire body. It was a pain unlike anything he had ever felt before, every cell in his body felt like it was being gnawed at by fire ants. The pain was so excruciating that he immediately collapsed next to the shinobi he had killed and passed out.

No sooner had Yuu collapsed than when the branches of the nearby surrounding overhead trees shook before a few figures landed on the ground circling Yuu. These individuals all wore clothes and armour of various kinds however the common clothing between them was the headband they all wore on their forehead which had the symbol of a Leaf.

These individuals were Leaf shinobi.

"What do you think wolf?" asked one of the shinobi, a tall man wearing a bear mask.

"I think that given the qualities he has shown and the fact that he possesses a sufficient amount of chakra, he has the potential to be a shinobi however he will at most be an elite chunin at best" said another shinobi wearing a wolf mask on which the left eye hole revealed a red eye with three tomoes. If Yuu had been awake, he would have recognized the man as the famous Kakashi Hatake, the copy ninja of the hidden leaf village.

"Mmm" nodded the rest of the group in agreement.

"So should we leave him here or not?" asked another leaf shinobi wearing a hawk mask. This one was a woman given her curvature and soft voice.

"We should take him as besides the fact that he will most likely die out here on his own, he would be a good addition to the leaf forces however minimal it may be" said Kakashi to which the rest of the shinobi agreed. And hence one of the members in the group picked up Yuu and placed on his shoulders and after checking the village for any more survivors and finding none, they immediately departed for the Hidden leaf village.

Yuu woke up only to find himself on a bed in a room.

"You are finally awake"

Yuu turned his head to find a young woman dressed in a nurse's uniform looking at him with a small smile on her face. In her hands was a small clipboard and a pen.

"Where am I?" asked Yuu as he anxiously looked around.

"No need to worry, you are in Konoha's hospital in the hidden leaf village" said the nurse.

"I see…" softly uttered Yuu. He tried to get up only for the nurse to push him back onto his back.

"You should rest for a while as both your body and mind have been overworked beyond normal capacity. Honestly i don't know what kind of luck you have but such levels of overwork and exhaustion should have killed you yet it only made you sleep for two days."

Said the nurse in utter bafflement.

"Two days?…" Yuu was shocked to say the least. I guess it made sense considering the fact that he had possessed the body of a dead person and also carried out murder. It would be more surprising if nothing had happened at all.

"Yerp, so just lie down and rest. I'll go and get you some food" said the nurse leaving the Yuu alone in his room.

Yuu looked around and after finding that there was no one nearby was about to delve into something he had discovered upon regaining consciousness when he decided to postpone doing so as despite not remembering much about the Naruto storyline, he did know that powerful ninjas at the level of jonin and above were capable of hiding their presence even from ninjas of the same level let alone him who was currently an ordinary civilian. Hence he simply laid back onto his pillow as this was the only option he had. He couldn't run away from the village even if he wanted to as the village's ninjas would easily hunt him down and even if he managed to do so, he doubted he would be able to survive in the wild outside Konoha filled with powerful animals, bandits and rogue ninjas. Even ninjas needed to be careful when travel outside their shinobi villages let alone a weakling like himself.

A few minutes later, the nurse returned with a basket of fruits, a glass of water and a bowl filled with rice and meat.
