Red Herring! part -2

{Kumogakure Council chambers}

Toshiaki looked around the room, almost no one understood what he felt when he thought about those times. 

'Konoha had not just one but two monsters back then...' Toshiaki sighed. He tried to find ways to describe the situations back then but couldn't.

He could only say, "The First Shinobi World War happened because Uchiha Madara and Senju Hashirama both died fighting each other. Even when Senju Hashirama was injured, and every village knew about his condition through the spies. No shinobi village in the elemental nations made a sound no matter how oppressive Konoha's strength was. That's how much power those two had, and the sense of oppression they commanded."

"The Kyuubi was the only tailed beast that had the potential to have an impact at the same scale as what those two were capable of, that's why the peace has lasted for so long after the First Shinobi World War. Every nation was weak after the First World War and we had no solution to Mito-sama's power."

"Our spy network though is slower than I thought, because Suna and Iwa most likely already know about Mito-sama's death. That's why they dared to move again, this is probably the only time in the last decade Konoha is vulnerable. They don't have the potential for mass-scale destruction with the Kyuubi, and an untested Hokage stands at the helm."

"It would be a hard war because Konoha still has its shinobi clans to rely on, but if you could pull it off the plan is good. It's better if the Kyuubi Jinchuriki is not with Konoha, after Konoha gets defeated we can just keep the nine tails and in exchange give Konoha the Eight tails to keep things balanced on the power scale." Toshiaki spoke. 

After a while, he realized that he had kind of taken over the meeting so he added, "Of course do that if that's what you wanna do..."

A nodded seriously at Toshiaki, he respected his predecessors enough to know that even though his point of view was a little different from his, it was because of the things and challenges he had faced as a Kage. 

"It's good to see that you are in good health, Toshiaki-sama. Would you like to be a part of the war-" A gave the man a chance to once again take a seat in the council chambers but Toshiaki shook his head.

"No, my time has passed, my views would only hinder the younger generations. I know my views are a little cowardly and the real reason I wanted a peace treaty with Konoha was simply because of the potential of the Uchiha and the Senju clan. But time has already told us the answer, Senju Hashirama and Uchiha Madara were just monsters..." Toshiaki shook his head, it was his misfortune to be born in the same generation.

"Go forth with what you believe, as long as you have the village in your heart-" Toshiaki spoke.

"-and I defend it with all my honor, I am the Raikage, the strongest shield of the Village Hidden in the Cloud." A finished. 

Toshiaki smiled and then he slowly walked out of the war room. A stared silently at his departing back before he turned to the rest of the council chamber.

"...Put a plan in action, while Konoha's focus is on the front lines against Suna and Iwa we'll try to abduct the container of the Kyuubi." A ordered.

The council room immediately descended into whispers as everyone started devising a plan. A walked out of the room and walked back to his office, Toshiaki's words were ringing in his ears. 

'It really is the perfect time to attack Konoha, I need to quickly deal with the Land of Sky, they are becoming a nuisance with their technology...'

{6 hours later}

"Is the plan ready?" A asked as he saw Gorou Youta walk into the room. Gorou was the ANBU commander of Kumo and was responsible for the security and infiltration missions.

"Yes, the spy that contacted us earlier was sent by Tsubasa Kichirō, a member of the Kichirō clan, he was placed into Konoha to get some information about the medical Ninjutsu system that Tsunade Senju developed. A team consisting of 3 ANBU will sneak into Konoha rendezvous with him and then they would wait until the Kyuubi container goes on a mission." Gorou laid out a scroll in front of him that had all the mission details listed.

'From then it is a simple case of sedating the Jinchuriki and then kidnapping her out of the Land of Fire. This would work since most of Konoha's senior combatants are on the frontlines.' A thought as he read through the scroll and then he stamped his approval on the mission scroll.

"Keep it a secret, do you have the team ready?" A asked.

"Yes they are a team that specializes in stealth and information gathering, they don't have a high combat power but they could take on most chunin," Gorou spoke.

'While combat strength isn't necessary for this mission it would be nice to have some more strength added to the team.' A thought.

"Are you sure?" A asked, if the mission fails it would really blow over as a political issue and they would be involved in a war with Konoha. A lot of their shinobi are already on the battlefield against The Land of Sky and also against the Uchiha clan that was standing its ground on the border of the Land of the Hot Springs.

"Yes, I'm absolutely sure with the help of Kichirō-san working with us on the inside the mission would be a success. Plus with the barrier surrounding Konoha, we really have no choice. The ANBU team is proficient in suppressing their chakra and making themselves look like civilians so they can go. Any other Jonin would simply be caught before he could even reach Konoha." Gorou replied.

'Uzumaki clan and their fucking fuinjutsu... maybe while Konoha is busy with Iwa and Suna we should deal with Uzushio...'

"Alright, send a word to the frontlines as well, we need to deal with the Land of Sky, send 3 teams to begin infiltrating their lands, I need more information about their plans." A ordered.

Gorou nodded and then he left, A stared at the stack of paper on his desk as he stood up. He looked at the drum-shaped object that was stored at the corner of his room and then he walked over to the window. While the view was quite good he looked down at his son who was sparring with another kid who was wearing small sunglasses.

His nephew had died a few weeks back and A had decided to let Killer B be the new host. The process was supposed to happen in a few days so every day his son and Killer B would meet to try and synchronize the Double Lariot before B went through his power-up.

'If this works then their team wouldn't be broken up and B won't have to deal with the stigma of being a Jinchuriki...' A thought as he gripped his fist harder.

He walked back and took his seat, he needed to finish this fight with the Land of Sky so that he could focus on Konoha.
