"I thought you wouldn't come out." Lan Xing joked when the door opened and revealed Hong Yue. Did he do something strange inside? He thought and discarded the thought. "The food's ready. You can eat first while I'll take my bath." He told Hong Yue.

"Sorry. I'll cook for tomorrow." Hong Yue told Lan Xing as he moved from the doorway.

"Don't mind it. You always stay up late." Lan Xing said. "Are you working?" he asked. It can't be about porn, can it? He thought.

"Yes." Hong Yue answered.

Lan Xing secretly sighed in relief. He doesn't have anything against perverts, but it's better not to have one as a roommate. He patted Hong Yue's shoulder. "Leave the breakfast to me. You can cook for dinner." He told him before he went inside the bathroom with his towel.

"Yeah." Hong Yue answered and watched the door of the bathroom closed before he released his breath. Fortunately, the bathroom is soundproofed so Lan Xing didn't hear him retching his guts out. He went to the kitchen and took a spoon to taste the beef's broth. "Mmm!" he exclaimed and his eyes widened when the dish tastes very delicious. "Oh, my god... that man, who looked like a brute, cooks like a five-star chef?!" he exclaimed under his breath. He's clearly referring to Lan Xing. "If this will be served to me always, I'll eat three times a day!" he said as he immediately took the dish to the dining table and made two serves of the dish and rice.

Lan Xing, who opened the door to ask for a shampoo, heard what Hong Yue had just said. He immediately closed the door and resumed bathing. "Maybe he was maltreated before thus he became malnourished and refused to eat?" he muttered.

The 'maltreated and malnourished' Hong Yue. "Mmm!" he exclaimed as he started to eat. "This is more delicious than the dishes Xuqi cooked!" he said when he remembered all the dishes of Song Xuqi he rejected. "Shall I hire Lan Xing as my personal chef?" he muttered.

Lan Xing who had just finished his bath came out and saw Hong Yue. "You're still eating?" he asked. He was surprised.

"They're really delicious!" Hong Yue honestly complimented. "This is my third serving." He told him.

"... don't overdo it." Lan Xing told him and joined him on the table. "I can cook for you. I don't have that much to do, anyway." He explained.

Hong Yue's eyes sparkled. "Really?!" he exclaimed. Seeing Lan Xing nodded while he started to eat, he felt he's going to drool in excitement. "I'll pay you, promise!" he told him.

"You don't need to." Lan Xing said as he chewed on the beef. Not tender enough. He criticized his own cooking. "I also eat, so you don't need to pay." He told him. Besides, Hong Yue is working despite studying to provide his daily needs.

The Hong Yue whom Lan Xing thought poor is the scion of the wealthy family Hong. "But – " he said.

"I have a sensitive tongue and stomach." Lan Xing said.

"..." Hong Yue was forced to agree. Lan Xing is really deserving to be a male lead in the BL novels! He thought and brightly smiled as he resumed eating. If only I am gay, I would have asked him to be my boyfriend. However, Lan Xing doesn't seem to be gay? He thought as he secretly peeked on Lan Xing who was earnestly eating.

Hong Yue was about to reply, 'my roommate', when he paused. He can't let Lan Xing be implicated, thus he reconsidered his words.

Lan Xing helped him many times, and he even will cook for him.

Hong Yue smiled and he immediately sent a reply.

His post also had received countless comments, but he ignored them. He went to his 'drafts' page and published the next chapter before he switched off his laptop and then went to sleep.
