A Man's Castle

Shiro bowed before the court of the mighty king Loter and knelt as the great purple lio stood from his throne and spoke his name, "Prince Shiro of Takashi Shirogane". The room erupted into cheers at Shiro's arrival and he felt a warmth in his chest that he had never felt before.

He looked up at Lance, who was grinning like an idiot beside him, and knew then that it would be worth every second he lived to have come to this place. His heart hammered against his ribcage and he found himself breathing deeply as the King smiled upon him kindly.

Shiro had only been here three times, but each time he found himself enchanted by the sight of the man who ruled these lands. In one day, he could feel the weight of the nation resting on his shoulders and yet the King held his gaze with such kind eyes. Shiro knew now why Allura had been so fond of her father when she was younger and more naïve.
