"She will be turning ten today," Zack said as his eyes turned red, biting his lips against each other, and narrowing his eyes. As he walked past Viv, who was at the dinning table arranging it for breakfast. Grabbing her by the shoulder with power and went straight to their bedroom. Sitting aside his bed. His hands started wringing as he tapped his feet, biting his lips, and his eyes darted around the room. His hands trembled as he thought of how to prevent his daughter from Jake.

Two shining, arrogant eyes had established dominance over Zac's face and gave him the appearance of always leaning aggressively forward. Not even the effeminate swank of his riding clothes could hide the enormous power of his body. He seemed to fill those glistening boots until he strained the top lacing, and you could see a great pack of muscle shifting when his shoulder moved under his thin coat. It was a body capable of enormous leverage. His eyes remained wide open for a while as he rolled them from time to time.

They lived far a bit, but a walking distance from the Moon Pack, a pack that he is said to have abandoned due to an overturn and was overthrown by an Omega, Jake. He was strong, but never stronger than Jake. Zack then decided to leave to the upper side of the hill and lived with Viv, Phelan their daughter and Ziff as well.

Today was a different day to all of them, as Zack understood so well, and had it in mind all the days. He has anxiously and eagerly anticipated for this for long. He was very aware that today, at exactly 12' o'clock, Phelan will be turning ten. Furthermore, he feared the same, as he wasn't sure whether his daughter would start preparing to becoming a wolf.

Phelan before then, has never demonstrated or even in a single day behaved like a werewolf, and maybe on this day through midnight, she could. All eyes of the family were on her as they awaited it to happen. Her father Zack had lost his power and energy and behaved no more like a werewolf or once an Alpha to his pack.

Vivian, has never even thought of seeing her daughter grow to become a werewolf. All she thought was just but seeing her daughter grow like her, being a human and never to possess such supernatural powers or whatsoever. But on this day she had to. She had to see her daughter turn to what her blood is made of. It's a day to see her daughter mature to what her father has been anticipating to see for decades. As they knew, Ziff her brother, was still young, and he had a long way to go.

"Phelan? … Phelan?…get out of your bed! It's already late to sleep up to this hour!" Viv yelled as she tried to shout out to Phelan from a distant. Phelan grilled as she turned from side to side in her bed. And as well try to stretch her hands a bit. She was already awake, but hardly had the energy to step out of her bed. She had no more friends than her bed. All times she overslept, getting late to her morning classes.

Phelan held a book in her hands as she tried to get through it, although her eyes betrayed her as they looked heavy. On her ears were ear phones, dancing to some music by her head as she stared at the book held with her both hands on the air.

"What happened, Feeling tired ?"

"Yes mom, I just can't read a single word, feeling so sleepy!" Phelan replied.

"Okay, take a nap!" Viv said.

"But mom school'

"Don't worry, just sleep!" Viv said.

She again left everything, laying her book by her side. Took a blanket and slept again.

After thirty minutes;

She opened her eyes and left them wide for a while as she tried to remember something or figure out instead. Suddenly, Zeff entered her room as he is used to. Jumped to Phelan's bed, and sat beside her. Phelan warmly smiled as she moved to give her brother some space. Held his hand and looked into his eyes with a charming smile

"They are coming, he is coming to meet you, as he will be marking you as his Luna!" Zeff said in a low, soft voice as he held his sister's shoulder from a side with his right hand.

"What? Where did you get that? I know they won't. Dad won't allow me to go out there to see Edon, I know that" She answered back trying to get additional information from his brother as well trying to express her dissatisfaction towards her father.

"How has been dad behaving recently anyway?" Phelan asked as she bited her teeth against her lips.

"He has been good, but am not sure whether he will let us go out and see Edon introduce his Luna." Zeff answered back, swinging and raising his shoulders to the air foolishly. "I'll try convincing them!" She said, raising her first fingure in the air as she fell in a short deep thought.

Zeff's palms were warm, that made Phelan get out of her bed. Stretching and slowly raising and then lowering her legs to the floor. She stood for a second, recomposing her minds and quickly moved towards the entrance of her room.

" Mom, dad! I will be going out with friends today. But I won't be too late. I promise!" Phelan asked in a low, soft voice, facing the ground off from his father's eye. Standing at the middle of her room's door.

"Friends?" Zack raised his voice as he said, laughing and moved closer. "You pathetic fool! Someday you'll wake up from your little fantasy and learn just how good of a friend is. Now, bas! Enough of this. Give us that kite. Zeff must have been looking for it"

Phelan stoped and picked up a mirror, held it tight between her palms. Crossing her arms in front of her chest, grinding her teeth against each other.

Zack flinched. He began to take a step back, stopped. "Last chance, Phelan. Take your time to think of; us or your friends"

Phelan's answer was to cock the arm that held the mirror. But she stood still, thought for a second and moved a step back towards the edge of her bed.

"Whatever you wish." Zack unbuttoned his winter coat, took it off, folded it slowly and deliberately. He placed it against the wall and walked away, holding his forehead. Grinding his teeth awkwardly, and hitting his lips against his teeth. His smile disappeared as he walked towards the dinning room.

Phelan sadly took off from her room as she quickly moved towards the yards of their small well-built house to affirm what she heard from her young brother Zeff.

"Edon is coming?" She turned back in a panic but low voice as she asked. Running back to her room, picking her jewelry and putting it around her neck.

Zeff had said it to her, but she rarely listened to him for what she thought all the times that he was younger, and he couldn't control her at all. Edon was an Alpha from their father's rival pack, that then he abandoned long ago. He was visiting their place and their neighborhood as their norm to introduce his mate. A Luna whom he believed and strongly spotted to be his mate.

Edon was, therefore, going to these homesteads to mark and introduce his mate, for he was a new Alpha of the Green side Pack. This occasion made everyone anxious as they anticipated to see Edon's mate. It was something that barely and rarely happened, and which left everyone excited and in real full excitements.

Before the neighbors assembled, and before they were beaten with time, Viv arranged their table, and they quickly sat for breakfast.

Zack sat beside her wife Viv who was next to Zeff, and far from Phelan who everyone feared already for the threat Zack had given earlier concerning possible changes from her. Although it was still early, but all kept their eyes on her.

"Yes! Yes! That is the right Luna for you!" A crowd shouted from outside Ozouf's homestead. Panic arose among them as they held different views concerning going out and witness the introduction of a rival Luna to the Edon Alpha. "No one goes out except me!" Zack said in a high, sharp and arrogant voice as he commanded his wife Viv not to let Phelan neither Zeff get out of the house. Who then instructed the two to go to their rooms until their father's return.Zack had a bad sense that maybe his long time rival could pick his daughter Phelan as his mate.

Quickly, he moved out of his house as he leaked to the outside and tried to get into the crowd, hiding his face from Edon. Whom he never wanted to make contact with. Everyone was excited as they all shouted Edon's name.

Sooner than later, Phelan felt unsafe being held up in their house, she whispered to her small brother not to bother her as she made her way out. "I feel so insecure, and I feel overwhelmed with abnormal powers, so let no one know that I left the house!" She said to Zeff knowing that Zeff was aware that she was turning ten and was then the time to become more powerful.

She used the trick to make his brother let her go. Furthermore, she wanted to go before Edon could have a sight at their homestead. She had a sense that she was to be marked as Edon's mate.

In a second, she was wrapped up in a scarf that helped her hide her face and quickly went out without her mother noticing of the same. She walked through the crowd and quickly went near Edon. Although some meters away, she stood with courage as she celebrated watching Edon's mate. She was overwhelmed with joy. Which barely made her understand what was really happening and what to do thereafter.

"Freedom is here, Phelan! But where to?" A deep voice arose in her as she listened to it so keenly. She suddenly thought of minimizing the little chance she had to walk out and explore the world that she has always been in deny of. "I will use the shortest time possible to walk around and come back after they have" She said to herself as she turned away and led her way to the dark forest. "Phelan!" Contrary to her thought, she had a sharp voice coming from the crowd. Everybody was quite as they bowed to respect Edon's voice who shouted to call out the name of whom he wanted to mark as his Luna...
