[58] Enjoy the Moment

I wake up to the soft, warm sensation of Momo's lips on mine, her kisses gentle yet insistent. She's nestled against me, her body flush with mine, and the scent of her shampoo fills my nostrils. I smile into the kiss, my hands already finding their way to her hips, pulling her closer.

"Morning," she murmurs against my lips.

"Morning," I reply. I can feel her smile widen as she deepens the kiss, her tongue tracing my lower lip. I open my mouth, inviting her in, and she takes full advantage, her tongue exploring mine with a newfound boldness.

I can feel the heat building between us, the kiss growing more passionate by the second. Momo shifts, straddling my lap, her weight settling comfortably on me. She breaks the kiss, her breath coming in quick gasps as she looks down at me.

"Last night was... incredible," she says, her voice barely a whisper. Her hands rest on my chest, her fingers tracing idle patterns on my skin.

"It was," I agree, my hands sliding up her thighs, gripping her hips. I can feel her shiver at my touch, her eyes fluttering closed briefly.

"I want to return the favor," she says, her voice steady despite the blush creeping up her cheeks. She leans down, her lips finding mine again, but this time there's a hunger behind her kiss, a need that matches my own.

I let her take the lead, my hands roaming her body, tracing the curves I've come to know so well. She grinds against me, her hips moving in a slow, tantalizing rhythm that has me groaning into her mouth. I can feel her smile against my lips, her confidence growing with each passing second.

"Momo," I whisper, my voice strained with the effort of holding back. She breaks the kiss, her eyes meeting mine, a silent question in her gaze. I nod, a small, almost imperceptible movement, but she understands. She reaches between us, her fingers deftly freeing me from the confines of my clothing.

She takes me in her hand, her grip firm yet gentle, her thumb brushing over the sensitive head. I hiss out a breath, my hips bucking involuntarily at the contact. She smiles, a wicked grin that has my heart racing.

"You're not the only one who can drive someone crazy," she says, her voice a sultry purr. She leans down, her lips finding mine again, her hand never stopping its slow, torturous movements.

I can feel the pleasure building, the tension coiling in my gut, ready to snap at any moment. But I hold back, my hands gripping her hips tightly, my breath coming in ragged gasps.

The insistent buzzing of my phone cuts through the haze of desire. Momo groans, her lips leaving mine as she glares at the offending device.

"Ignore it," she whispers. She trails kisses along my jaw, her hands sliding down my chest. "Please, Izuku."

I nod, my fingers tangling in her hair as I pull her back to my lips. The phone buzzes again, and I feel Momo's frustration in the way she nips at my lower lip.

"I swear, if that's Kaminari asking for homework help again-" she mutters, but I silence her with another kiss.

The buzzing continues, and I can't help but sigh. Momo notices, her eyes narrowing.

"Don't you dare," she warns, but there's a playful edge to her voice. She shifts in my lap, grinding against me in a way that makes my breath catch. "I'm not done with you yet."

I sit up, keeping Momo on my lap. She takes advantage of the new position, her lips finding my neck. She sucks and nibbles at the sensitive skin, and I know she's trying to leave a mark. It's something she and Nejire have in common, though Nejire prefers the right side while Momo goes for the left.

"Momo," I groan. "It could be important."

She huffs against my skin but doesn't stop. I reach for my phone, squinting at the screen.

Three messages. One from Ai, one from Mom, and... a call from Mei?

I open Ai's message first. "Should I schedule an interview or two during your internship?"

I type out a quick reply. "Yes, but nothing too time-consuming. I want to focus on training."

Mom's message makes me pause. "I expect at least three grandbabies." Fucking kacchan.

Momo pauses, looking up at me. "What's wrong?"

I shake my head. "Nothing. Just Mom being... Mom."

"No more phone," she murmurs, her voice low and needy. "It can wait."

I'm about to agree when my phone starts ringing again. Mei's name flashes on the screen.

"Shit," I say, answering the call. "Mei? What's up?"

"Midoriya!" Mei's voice blares through the speaker. "The costumes are ready! Come to the lab ASAP!"

She hangs up before I can respond. I look at Momo apologetically. "We gotta go. Mei's finished our costumes."

Momo sighs, climbing off my lap. "I guess we should get dressed then."

We hurry to put our clothes on, the earlier passion replaced by a mix of excitement and frustration.

"I'll make it up to you," I promise, pulling Momo close for a quick kiss. "Tenfold."

"I'll hold you to that, Izuku."

We head to Powerloader's lab, where Mei greets us with her usual manic energy.

"Finally!" she exclaims, dragging us inside. "I've been working on these babies all night!"

She unveils Momo's costume first, and my jaw drops. The outfit is a far cry from her previous design. It's more tactical, with straps and pouches, but still leaves little to the imagination. Too bad she still decided to go with the red color.

Momo catches me staring and smirks. "Like what you see?"

I nod, not trusting my voice. She laughs, grabbing the costume and heading to change.

"Your turn, Midoriya!" Mei announces, presenting my new outfit.

I take in the white cloak with its green flame pattern and the kanji for "Evergreen Hero" on the back. The deep teal base suit with black accents looks sleek and professional. It's a perfect blend of modern and traditional elements.

I put it on, marveling at how well it fits. The material is lightweight but sturdy, allowing for easy movement. I turn to look in the mirror and pause, taken aback by my reflection.

Momo emerges from the changing room, and I have to remind myself to breathe. "You look amazing," I tell her, my voice low.

She blushes, her eyes roaming over my new costume. "So do you. Very heroic."

Mei bounces between us, rattling off the various features and improvements she's made. I try to pay attention, but I keep getting distracted by Momo. The way the costume hugs her curves, the confident set of her shoulders - it's all I can do to keep my hands to myself.

"Izuku!" Mei waves a hand in front of my face. "Did you hear anything I just said?"

I blink, focusing on her. "Sorry, Mei. Could you repeat that?"

She sighs dramatically but launches into her explanation again. This time, I force myself to concentrate on the technical details. The improvements to the shock absorption in the soles, the reinforced knuckles for better punching power, the enhanced flexibility in the joints - it's all impressive.

"Thank you, Mei," I say when she finally pauses for breath. "This is incredible work."

She beams at the praise. "Of course it is! My babies are always the best!"

We spend the next hour testing out the various features of our new costumes. Momo creates a few small objects to test the maneuverability, while I run through some basic combat moves to check the range of motion.

As we wrap up, I catch Momo's eye. There's a heat in her gaze that makes my pulse quicken.

"Ready to head back?" I ask.

She nods. "Definitely."

We thank Mei again and make our way back to the dorms. The halls are still quiet, most of our classmates taking advantage of the Saturday morning to sleep in. We reach Momo's room, and I hesitate for a moment.

"You know," Momo says, her voice low, "we never did finish what we started this morning."

I grin, following her into the room and locking the door behind us. "Well, I did promise to make it up to you."

I glance at the clock as Momo and I finally emerge from her room. 7 PM already? Time flies when you're... well, let's just say we both got a workout today. My enhanced stamina came in handy, though not quite how the quirk was probably intended to be used.

Momo looks gorgeous in her leggings and oversized sweatshirt, hair piled into a messy bun. I can't help but grin at the sight.

"What?" she asks, catching my expression.

"Nothing. You just look really cute like that."

She blushes and playfully swats my arm. "Come on, I'm starving."

We head downstairs, the smell of something delicious wafting up from the common area. As we enter, I take in the scene. Jiro, Mina, Hagakure, and Uraraka are sprawled across the couches. Bakugo's yelling at Kirishima about something while the redhead tries to calm him down. Sero, Kaminari, and Mineta are huddled around a game console.

Jiro glances our way, then quickly turns around, her face flushing red. Right, enhanced hearing.

Mina gives us a knowing smirk. "Well, well, look who finally decided to join us! Have fun up there, lovebirds?"

"We were just, uh..."

"Studying anatomy," Momo cuts in smoothly. "Very... thorough studying."

I nearly choke. Who knew Momo had it in her?

"I bet," Mina cackles. "Any chance I could join your study group sometime?"

"Sorry," I say. "Private tutoring only."

Momo giggles and heads for the kitchen. I make my way over to the guys playing games.

"Yo, Midoriya!" Kaminari calls. "Wanna join? We're about to start a new round."

"Sure," I say, grabbing a controller. "What're we playing?"

"Hero Fighter Ultimate," Sero replies. "Mineta keeps spamming Midnight's sleep move."

"It's a legitimate strategy!" Mineta protests.

We start up a new match. I pick All Might, of course. As we play, Mineta leans in close.

"So," he says in a low voice. "How was it with Yaoyorozu?"

I pause the game and turn to face him. "Mineta," I say calmly. "You're interning with Mt. Lady soon, right?"

He nods eagerly.

"Would you like to live long enough to actually make it there?"

Mineta gulps and scoots away. "Message received. Sorry I asked."

"Good call," Kaminari mutters.

We resume the game. I pull off All Might's Detroit Smash, taking out all three of their characters at once.

"Dude!" Sero exclaims. "When did you get so good at this?"

I shrug. "Just lucky, I guess."

Truth is, I've been analyzing hero fighting styles for a while. Translating that knowledge to a video game isn't much of a stretch.

"Rematch!" Kaminari demands. "I call All Might this time!"

"Fine by me," I say, switching to Eraserhead. Time to show them what our teacher can really do.

As we start the new round, I notice Momo in the kitchen, chatting with Uraraka. She catches my eye and smiles. I smile back, then turn my attention to thoroughly trouncing my classmates in virtual combat.

Three matches later, I set down the controller. "Anyone else hungry? I'm gonna grab some food."

"Dude, how are you this good?" Kaminari whines. "It's not fair!"

I laugh and head for the kitchen. Momo's at the stove, stirring something that smells amazing.

"Whatcha making?" I ask, coming up behind her.

"Curry," she replies. "I thought we could use some protein after... earlier."

I wrap my arms around her waist, resting my chin on her shoulder. "Sounds perfect."

She leans into me. "Could you set the table for me?"

I grab some plates and start laying them out. Jiro wanders over, still avoiding eye contact.

"So, uh," she says awkwardly. "You two are pretty serious, huh?"

I nod. "Yeah, I'd say so. Why do you ask?"

She fidgets with her earphone jack. "No reason. Just... be good to her, okay? Yaomomo deserves the best."

"Trust me, I know," I say softly. "I plan on giving her exactly that."

Jiro nods, seemingly satisfied. She grabs some chopsticks and helps me finish setting up.

Soon, we're all gathered around the table, digging into Momo's delicious curry. Conversation flows easily, touching on everything from our upcoming internships to speculation about the next round of hero rankings.

"I still can't believe you're interning with Miruko," Kirishima says between bites. "She never takes interns!"

I shrug. "Guess I made an impression at the Sports Festival."

"You did more than that," Mina chimes in. "You totally dominated!"

"I did but it wasn't just me," I deflect. "Everyone did amazing. We've all grown so much since starting at U.A."

"Some more than others," Mineta mutters, eyeing Momo. I shoot him a warning glare and he shrinks back.

"Speaking of growth," Uraraka pipes up. "Has anyone heard from Iida? He's been pretty quiet since... you know."

A hush falls over the table. We all know she's referring to the attack on Iida's brother by the Hero Killer, Stain.

"I texted him earlier," I say. "He's doing okay, all things considered. Said he's looking forward to his internship in Hosu City."

"Hosu?" Todoroki asks, speaking up for the first time. "Isn't that where the Hero Killer's been active?"

I nod grimly. "Yeah, it is. I'm worried about him, to be honest. He seems... different lately."

"Can you blame him?" Bakugo grunts. "If some psycho attacked my family, I'd be out for blood too."

"That's what I'm afraid of," I mutter.

Momo squeezes my hand under the table. "Maybe you should talk to him before we leave for our internships," she suggests quietly. "If anyone can get through to him, it's you."

I give her a grateful smile. "Yeah, you're right. I'll try to catch him tomorrow."

The conversation shifts to lighter topics after that. As we finish eating, Mina suggests we all watch a movie together.

"Ooh, how about a romance?" Hagakure suggests.

"Ugh, pass," Bakugo grumbles. "If I wanted to watch people make googly eyes at each other, I'd just stare at Deku and Ponytail all night."

"Aw, you noticed!" I tease. "I didn't know you cared, Kacchan."

He flips me off, but there's no real heat behind it. Our relationship has definitely evolved since the Sports Festival.

We eventually settle on an action movie about a group of underground vigilante turtles. As we all pile onto the couches, I find myself sandwiched between Momo and Uraraka.

Momo leans her head on my shoulder, and I wrap an arm around her. It feels... right. Natural. Like this is exactly where I'm supposed to be.

As the movie plays, my mind wanders to the future. Internships, the provisional license exam, whatever villains might be waiting in the shadows. It's a lot to think about.

But for now, surrounded by friends and the girl I... well, I'm not ready to use the L-word yet, but it's definitely heading in that direction. For now, I'm content to just enjoy this moment.

As the credits roll, I notice Momo has fallen asleep on my shoulder. I smile and press a gentle kiss to the top of her head.

Yeah, I could definitely get used to this.
