Chapter 1Heavenly Star Fall

In the middle of autumn, under the starry night sky, a colorful star fell into a Northern Realm's mountain region. It obliterated everything within tens of kilometers radius.

Strangely, not a single noise could be heard. Almost everyone on the continent witnessed the devastating earthquake and super bright light explosion. It was as if doomsday had arrived.

The night was more dazzling than the day, giving the impression the sun was falling and ending all life. However, it only lasted for a few minutes.

Many major forces from various renowned backgrounds were mobilized to investigate what happened. Yet, everyone was shocked to find the Northern Realm's mountain region intact, as if that night's catastrophe was just an illusion.

It could be a treasure from heaven or a calamity from outer space. No one could even tell the exact location where the star fell.

The locals were also perplexed about what was happening in their territory. However, that didn't mean they would permit the others to invade under the pretext of investigation.

The battle broke out, and heavy casualties fell within that deadly week until some influential experts intervened and complicated things.

Ultimately, the major forces from other regions were chased away and inevitably returned empty-handed.

That night's phenomenon was known as the Heavenly Star Fall. Two years had passed since then, and no one could unravel the mystery.

A girl in unique and stylized clothing inspired by the colors of a shrine priestess traditional outfit was reading a book at the humble abode on a peak of one of the mountains in the Northern Realm's mountain region.

Неr fеаturеѕ роѕѕеѕѕеd а сеrtаіn ѕhееn unlіkе аnу оthеr jade-like beauty. Неr gentle, angelic bеаutіful fасе аnd wеll body рrороrtіоnѕ, еvеrуthіng wаѕ реrfесtlу bаlаnсеd, аѕ іf ѕhе wаѕ а wоrk оf аrt, the God's masterpiece.

Her long midnight-black hair glistened with a purplish hue under the sunlight, caressed by the gentle breeze. A big red ribbon tied like a butterfly adorned her hair as an accessory. Her flawless white skin seemed to glow under the warm sunlight. She curved her sweet cherry lips into a smile.

"Heavenly Star Fall, huh..." The shrine priestess closed the book and hugged it while looking up at the brilliant autumn sky. Her purplish-blue colored eyes sparkled with curiosity.

A few moments later, she put the book onto her lap. Rather than calling it a book, it looked more like a grimoire. Silver was the base cover material, but the artistic cover and frame were made of gold with two small wing ornaments on the open side. A symbol resembling a praying little angel adorned the cover's center.

She opened her grimoire to check the quest she had just completed this morning.

[Build the shrine's defensive wall using silver ash granite][Reward: Home Super Defense+] [Complete]

[The agent of the White Realm is satisfied with your diligence]

"Hmm-mm~ It took more than a month of hard work. Thankfully, the kind spirits gave a helping hand. This place will be much safer now, and I can sleep peacefully tonight." The shrine priestess felt satisfied by the quest giver's comment. She then flipped through a few pages to check the mission list.

[Conquer the ancient heavenly tomb in the secret realm of the extreme north][Reward: Heavenly Legacy]

"That's impossible, right? That kind of place is beyond dangerous for me."

[Tame the black fire dragon in the Dark Hell Vulcano in the Demon Realm][Reward: Powerful pet]

"Uhh, that looks like suicide. I am a mortal shrine priestess, and what can I do with a powerful dragon in the distant land?"

[Purify a desperate cursed creature on the Sacred Mountain][Reward: Reliable subordinate]

The shrine priestess checked other missions by sliding her grimoire's paper page like a screen. However, she came back to the third top mission because she thought a particular quest suited her capabilities the best.

"..." The shrine priestess pondered for a moment as if considering something. She then made up her mind and chose to take that quest. "Now, this looks like a proper job to me. A mission to purify a lost ghost, right?"

The shrine priestess went to prepare for her mountain exploration to purify a lost ghost. She put all necessary equipment in her secret storage pouch, then brought her Gohei... her reliable wooden wand to cleanse, bless, or exorcise anything.

She clasped her hands in prayer in front of a six-winged Goddess statue within the shrine before leaving.

"Um?" The shrine priestess glanced back because she felt someone was watching her, but she could see no one there.

The powerful deity, He-Dao, had left a year ago and never came to visit again. He helped her a lot that year, but she became the only human on this mountain since then.

There was only a garden of colorful flowers, vegetables, and fruit trees. The Sacred Sakura she planted eighteen months ago was also there, next to the shrine, swaying slightly in the wind. However, the sakura tree seemed to send her off.

The shrine priestess smiled and waved her hand in farewell. She locked the entrance gate and headed down the mountain, humming a cheerful song. She no longer had to worry about any intruders. The three-meter tall and one-meter thick, sturdy defensive wall would do the job perfectly.

The shrine priestess explored the Sacred Mountain like she was in her backyard. Unfortunately, after several hours of gruelling exploration, she still couldn't find her mission's objective. She was already tired from walking, but no ghost trace was found.

"It's almost dusk, and I can't find it. The mission is merely information. I have explored the entire Sacred Mountain... am I out of luck?" The shrine priestess muttered as she glanced left and right.

She could find a few docile beasts and poor demons, but no corrupted ghost could be found anywhere. The nature spirits didn't even see any strange creatures nearby.

Because she was unlucky, she decided to perform her monthly ritual to the sacred being beneath the mountain. The secret ground where no one but she could enter. The place where the greatest mystery about Heavenly Star Fall was buried.

"Has the shrine priestess left yet?"

"Oh, hell, yeah. The mountain guardian's aura is beyond scary."

"Tch, I can trample upon the masses of people, but that human girl is... her aura scares me."

"This mountain is extremely rich in top-tier quality qi. Living here can greatly boost my cultivation, which no other place can offer. It's better to behave when encountering her and living here all my life, rawr!"

"The shrine priestess seems to be looking for something, right? Is it about that silver ash stone again? Shouldn't we help her again, and then we can expect a reward later?"

"Honorable lady seems to be looking for a creature like a corrupted ghost around here."

"Ghosts to exorcise? So, it's just a routine patrol. They stand no chance to approach this Sacred Mountain."

"But, those damned elemental spirits monopolize the opportunity for two months! Her house defensive wall is done, and we must snatch our luck tomorrow!"

"Yeah, this is our chance to overthrow those elemental spirits."

"Hum."

The so-called docile beasts and poor demons came out of the bushes when the shrine priestess could no longer be seen.

Actually, their first meeting with the shrine priestess was so abysmal. They mistook her for prey, but they got beaten in return. After several exchanges, they could only behave well before the shrine priestess.

Nobody could overpower the shrine priestess. Everything that dared to come closer to the mountain guardian with malice would be suppressed to mortal level, without exception, and beaten up with no mercy using the holy wooden rod. No one dared to blatantly challenge the shrine priestess' authority since then unless they had a death wish.

The beasts and demons of the Sacred Mountain were so well-behaved in front of the shrine priestess. However, the priestess didn't know their true intentions were something profound. They would look for every opportunity to expect some gifts.

Cassandra who hated ‘The Arena’ with her very breath. A place where blood flowed like wine and life was cheaper than the very air they breathed didn't understand her purpose in it. On top of that, the mysterious warrior affected her in unimaginable ways. His hypnotic gaze unsettled her. His rare essence overwhelmed her. His muscular bronzed body consumed her with sinful thoughts. Even the dreams of her past life plagued her. When ‘The Arena' began the hidden agendas and underlying truths came to light and Cassandra was played a hand of fate. She was left with no choice but to give in and choose a path. The question would be. How will Cassandra grapple once she learns of the curse placed on her? Will she be able to obtain her magical abilities and stand up to her father? Who will help her along the journey? ~Excerpt~ Then she felt him, all of him. All his ruggedness. The strength of his arm. The softness of his lips. The grip of his hand. The warmth of his breath. Every muscle in her body went taut at the implications of sleeping in a man’s arms. She had never slept in a male’s embrace before. Her whole skin tingled like tiny sparks dancing on the very parts that connected with him. The crevices of her brain had these memories which weren't hers. This touch somehow didn't seem foreign to her. She felt safe in his soothing embrace and didn't wish to push him away and yet she knew this was far from appropriate. Cassandra tried to wriggle out of his hold, his arms seemed to be built from iron for they wouldn't budge. The light garment she had worn had lifted from her milky thigh baring it as his bronzed muscular one was draped on it. And now she could sense something poking her back. Her eyes suddenly expanded from the realisation and Cassandra fully panicked. “Let go!” She voiced out, heavily. Siroos slowly lifted his leg and slackened his hold on her waist so she could shuffle away. He had awakened when she had stiffened for the first time but wished to behold what she would try. With eyes blown wide she stole a glance towards the man who had her wrapped in his embrace like a precious treasure, his treasure. His molten gold eyes had flickered open and there was this softness and want with which he stared at her. Those soft brown curls cascaded over his eyes as he forgot to blink, watching the timeless beauty that she was. Her one-of-a-kind fragrance was a torture to his senses. How he wished to grab her dainty ankle, pull her from it and have her sprawled underneath him. To kiss the very skin that oozed such scent which was driving him insane. Instead, he bent his arm and placed it under his cheek using it like a pillow to watch her with desire-filled eyes. The awkward lull between them prolonged as Cassandra cleared her throat. “Did you have to climb on me to sleep?” “It wasn't intentional but was certainly enticing and definitely won't be the last time.” His deeply hypnotic voice was even more alluring this early in the morning as it resonated all around her. The book cover is mine.

The sequel to Instant Transmigration: Goddess of My Imagination. Honestly, there is too much preliminary knowledge needed for this part of the epic, so as someone who completed the original book and is updated to around chapter 190 at the time of reviewing, I would highly recommend anyone wanting to read this story to start back at the beginning in the 1st part of the epic, and grind your way up to this one. I am using the term "epic" because the story has reached that length. This is a sort of "staple" story like how One Piece is a staple anime you can always come back to. Updates are daily and committed, so you can count on the author seeing this through.Due to the nature and length of the story, world building is fairly strong. My guess is the only way to improve this is to dive deeper into country's, in-story religion's, species/racial unique idiosyncrasies (as random examples: a country's unique traits like having a massive bottomless pit in its center with some history behind it, being at war with another country, preferring fist fighters over weapon users, and having it's main businesses being mining, gym bodybuilding and training, and wrestling; religions whose god forbids fishing, the DJ god who has his followers beatbox during prayer, wear togas, and encourages having pets and creating music; and a butterfly or capybara beastman or slime, boulder, or banana dryad race with whatever weirdness they bring to the table.) Thats's the kind of craziness, but unique world building that could spice things up further. Some of it might be too far, but the point is: creating unique settings and people might help in creating interesting worlds, situations, and conflicts. *this is just a suggestion. World building otherwise accomplishes what it needs to for the story if those kind of unique settings would be too distracting. Now for my take on the story thus far:-First of all, having read through the 1st portion of the epic, the author's writing style has improved and continues to do so. If you've read the last book and this one and paid attention, you'll absolutely have noticed questions left unanswered and subtle hints towards future chapters; some resolved, some not. From me to another fellow reader, don't be disheartened, I have personally held on from update to update and I promise you, unless something is very minute, it is likely not forgotten and will be addressed at some point. I do not intend to spoil anything, but in order to discuss some "meta" parts of the story, I will have to hint at "if you know, you know" type spoilers from this point on. *Side note: Please join the author's discord.- A weakness in part 1 that had been addressed even before this book, the characterization of the main characters of the story, has been steadily improved upon in this book. There are A LOT of secondary characters in this story. And I mean A LOT. This leads to less time to address and develop each of these secondary characters, else risking stagnating the plot of overshadowing the main characters. The characters also tend to gather around the main character, for obvious reasons, but at times, it leads to hindering them from taking control of their lives, accomplishing personal goals, improving themselves, solving their own problems, training, etc because they follow the main character who dictates the plot. By the setup of this story and in general, I can see this has been addressed or at least is being balanced, as difficult as it is to do. We can see the characters developing their personalities, mindsets, ideals, and unique problems as they were forcefully separated from the main character. They are "growing up" and handle things in their own way.- What I've also noticed in the overall story thus far is an improvement in the "by the book" feeling the story feels at times. The recurring characters definitely have earned a level of prestige, and can act upon it. A lot of the time, characters have an air of "appropriateness" and knowledge and wisdom, however... they also slip up from time to time and have to play situations by ear! Characters from time to time, trip up, make mistakes, display their own unique quirks when doing/reacting to things. It makes the characters seem more "human" as well as providing a lighthearted breath or comedic moment in normal moments and a break between serious moments. (the main character is kind of a dork at times and completely misreads social situations and queues at times, while at other times is spot on and knows more than others think.) The frequency of moments like these has improved over the story and I hope to see more of them.As of now, around chapter 200, this part of the epic is, I would guess, still in it's prologue stages in exploring the new world, bringing the part 1 characters back together, and setting up for the next conflict(s).There's probably more to talk about, but I'll leave it here and challenge our author and main character to reach even further into the depths of their imaginations.
