"What's going on with you?" Jessica asked curiously.
Before Qin Li could explain, Gu Yi spoke up, "This is Mr. Li's power. Anyone can unleash an incredible force when emotions get out of control. But for an ordinary person, such a burst can cause irreversible damage to the body."
Gu Yi activated the Eye of Agamotto and began slowly repairing the damage Qin Li had caused to the church. She continued, "Mutants or people with special abilities can temporarily tap into their unique powers. As for Mr. Li, his physical body surpasses ordinary humans, and his abilities as well. So, his emotional fluctuations don't need to reach complete instability. When they reach a relatively low peak, his powers overflow."
As Gu Yi restored the church, she finished explaining Qin Li's situation.
Everyone, except Gu Yi, now looked at Qin Li differently. Qin Li let out a sigh of relief and said to Gu Yi, "Thank you, Master Gu Yi. Otherwise, I'd have to call someone in to redecorate this place."
Gu Yi smiled indifferently and waved her hand, signaling it was no big deal. At this point, Nick asked curiously, "Master Gu Yi, was the energy Mr. Li unleashed a lot for him?"
Gu Yi thought for a moment before answering, "It's probably just a drop in the ocean. This is why I mentioned the near destruction of the New York Temple."
Everyone was shocked by Gu Yi's words. If it had all been unleashed, wouldn't it have wiped out the Earth?
Slightly embarrassed, Qin Li spoke to Gu Yi, "Master Gu Yi, thank you again. I'll be more careful from now on."
Gu Yi nodded, then opened a portal and returned to Kamar-Taj. Qin Li turned to Matt and said, "Matt, let's continue with what we were talking about. This time, I'll control my emotions."
As Matt approached, the others were curious about what Matt had said to provoke Qin Li's anger, so they gathered around.
"Besides what I mentioned earlier, some of the rejected children were used to create a monster called Black Void using their blood," Matt said, his face darkening.
Frank exuded a murderous aura, making both Nick and Jessica shiver, and they quickly distanced themselves from him. This was the first time Nick had seen his father like this. Frank, thinking about how Nick would have ended up had Qin Li not saved him, felt the killing intent grow stronger. As Nick moved away, Frank realized his own state and quickly composed himself. But the people Matt mentioned had already been sentenced to death.
Qin Li's gaze turned cold, and he asked, "What else?"
Matt, looking at Qin Li's state, asked, "Father Li, are you okay?"
Qin Li replied, "Keep going. The previous situation won't happen again."
Matt looked worriedly at Qin Li, but seeing his determined attitude, he reluctantly continued, "Alright. Now, they're conspiring over something called Dragon Bone. It's buried beneath Manhattan, and they are still searching for it. I've heard that the Dragon Bone is the key to their immortality, and it's the primary material used to create the Black Void monster."
"I promise they won't get anything. Even if they do, they'll regret it for eternity," Qin Li said coldly.
"Count me in. They hurt Nick, so I'll be part of this," Frank said with an equally cold tone.
Qin Li nodded. He took out his phone and dialed Kingpin.
"Father Li, is there something I can do for you?" Kingpin asked politely.
"Do you know about the Hand?" Qin Li asked directly.
"They're trying to expand in New York, pushing me their high-end drugs. I was about to accept their offer; after all, they've been very generous. It's like they're eager to get in," Kingpin replied, a bit puzzled.
"Keep an eye on them. They've crossed me. Gather all their intel. After that, their business will be yours," Qin Li's cold voice came through the phone. After the call ended, Kingpin chuckled. He then waved, and a man with a target mark on his forehead entered.
"Target, go tell the others to continue the deal with the Hand. Keep someone monitoring them 24/7. The moment I ask, I want to know their whereabouts. They've crossed the wrong person. It's just a matter of time before they die."
"Got it, Boss. I'm on it," Target replied. Kingpin stood up slowly, took a cigar, and walked to the window, silently watching the sunset over New York.
After hanging up on Kingpin, Qin Li immediately called Nick Fury.
As the call connected, Nick Fury's frustrated voice came through, "Father Li, I've just finished work, and I was hoping for a peaceful evening."
"Do you know about the Hand?" Qin Li ignored Fury's complaints, knowing not to trust a spy, especially the one in charge.
"The Hand? The one that split off from Kun Lun and plays at being a family with five members? That Hand?" Fury asked dismissively.
"Yes, that Hand. They specialize in abducting orphans and homeless people, selling them to vampires for food or to conduct monstrous experiments. You mean to tell me SHIELD doesn't know about this? Playing at families?" Qin Li's tone was icily sharp.
Fury immediately straightened up, his demeanor changing. "Impossible. Our agents have investigated that organization, but we found nothing regarding what you just said."
Qin Li suddenly recalled that half of SHIELD was Hydra now, perhaps more. Damn it, maybe SHIELD should be renamed Hydra Shield. He then warned Fury, "Your SHIELD agents? Why don't you send them to investigate? SHIELD isn't always right. The information I got is true. You send your people to investigate and get back to me. They've crossed me."
Qin Li hung up the phone impatiently.
Fury's face darkened. He could tell from the tone of Qin Li's words that there was more going on. He dialed Natasha's number.
"Director, I still have two days off," Natasha's lazy voice came through.
"Agent Romanoff, your vacation's over. I need you to investigate something. I'll send you the previous reports. If they're wrong, we have a traitor in SHIELD," Fury said gravely.
Hearing the seriousness in Fury's voice, Natasha immediately responded, "Understood. Give me two days."
"Alright, I'll wait for your update." Fury let out a sigh of relief before hanging up.
Though Fury already had an idea of the truth, he still sent Black Widow to investigate. Having evidence made all the difference. He leaned back in his seat, lost in thought.
