THE MONITORING ROOM

The sun had just set at the South Fortress, but it was only the beginning of Clare's night patrol. He had arrived at the South Fortress yesterday, and his work had begun immediately.

His work at the fortress involved monitoring the situation outside the fortress. He could either go to the upper guard post located at the top of the fortress so he could directly monitor the zombies, or go to the monitoring room to observe what was being recorded by the cameras installed around the fortress. The cameras were targeting the zombies outside the fortress, so it was no wonder that all the monitors in the room were constantly displaying a large number of zombies.

Ordinary cameras would not provide much information when night fell, and that was why they activated the infrared sensors after sunset. That way, the zombies could still be monitored even in the dark.

"How is the situation outside the fortress?" Clare asked the person on duty in the monitoring room.
