grinding with shadow clones part 1

in the backyard of a medium sized house, one can see as a muscular man looking no more than 24-27 hold a wooden sword in his hand swinging it downwards at a blond haired and blue eyed child looking no more than 3 that also wielded a sword suited to his size.

seeing the incoming downwards swing the child how counter the attack with simin grace before jumping back to create distance the attacked the opponent in front of him, to no avail as his opponent used the same technique he did a few seconds ago to counter the child's attacks before once again swinging the sword downwards at the child but this time with a higher speed leaving his appoint no time to counter and receiving a attack straight to the head, after which he laid on the ground feeling excited sweat running down his face, as the muscular man spoke.

Paul: ''you are to afraid of getting hurt, if you keep continuing to use the water god style at the start of every fight you will never learn to take the initiative in a fight which may lead to you losing and in the worse case your death''

sitting next to the spot which laid down paul continued

Paul:'' you should focus more on your north god style since that is the one you sim the most suitable with, if not that it would be best to delve deeper into the sword god style since it is the best for attacking, but i would highly recommend you not to get to reliant on the water god style or most precisely {flow} which can get you out of certain circumstances against weaker opponents, but the second you fight someone stronger than you or someone with the same level of strength and experience but has solid mastery of north god style"

pausing abruptly, he patted my head with a smug look he said 

Paul:" this will happen again, but at the same time i have to say that you came very far in just one month"

after saying this he lept of the ground and went back into the house, looking back at what Paul just said i almost totally agreed with him, since just focusing on {flow} not only stunted my growth in swordsmanship but limited my ability to fight opponents with the north god style that is at a higher level but at the same time it gave me total advantage over those with the sword god style since the users of water god style, due to the techniques entire philosophy of taking the initiative and striking first, was weak against the shear conterabilty of water god style.

another reason for my wanting to focus on the water god style was that it gave the most growth towards my Yoriichi Tsugikuni template and was the only sword technique ,though little, gave progress towards my other two templates, plus in the future i wanted to become one of the sword gods no matter how long it took, even if there was monstrous protergy likeJino Britts that i would have to overcome,so for this and many more future events i needed to grow, thinking this i gave a mental command of{status} after which a blue holographic screen appeared hovering in front of me.

over the past month, after our parents found out that me and ruduos could use magic our parents with the assistance of lilia decided to teach the both of us magic and swordsmanship, with the caveat that we learnt magic in the morning and swordsmanship in the evening.

and they also went to get a teacher for the both of us but sadly sh- ahem i mean they would not be able to come till two months later, so in the meantime me and rudeus started to learn swordsmanship from dad, while i personally asked mom to teach me healing ,detoxification and fire magic and asked dad to increase the level of training for swordsmanship to which both of them did noticing how fired up i was about learning, in the meantime when i could i secretly used/studied cursed energy and chakra to increase the completion rate of my templates which progressed at a steady pace giving me lots of gains.

with my nanami temple reaching 2% within two weeks allowing me access to his cursed technique though due to my low cursed energy pool and control i could barely use it two time before completely running out of cursed energy.

my Yoruichi template reached 9% within one week allowing me access to all his KNOWLEDGE about sun breathing,which gave me confidence to focus on water god style,since the attack patterns of sun breathing seemed like a perfect counter to the north god style ,at least the version that father showed me but after that the progress stopping altogether.

but the most impressive template and the one which i had the least progress in, minato template which after reaching 1% a week ago afters rigorously training chakra control, if i had trained my healing or detoxification magic as hard as i did with chacra control i am sure their skill levels would be doubled, but the enormous gains were still there, upon reaching 1% i gained an enormous amount of information regarding chakra natures, knowledge about 17 jutsus, knowledge about seals and there was even a separate column added to show the abilities i gained from minato, but the most important thing i gained was knowledge about shadow clone jutsu, which one its own had more importance than everything else i gained from all the templates combined.

but in the end it was still only {knowledge} meaning that i would have to master the jutsu by myself overtime, so to that end i decided for the time being the time i would spend to secretly learn about cursed energy and increase the progress of namami template, i would use to master the shadow clone jutsu, and after five days i was able to create two clones and held it for about one hour before fully running out of chakra.

and there the problem of rate at which my mana pool increase has began to slow down a little 

while thinking about how to approach the problem of mentainin shadow clone jutsu effectively and my the increase of my mana pool, rudeus who has been watching me lay in the grass all this time started to run towards me, stopping to two feet behind my head before speaking.

rudeus: "do you wanna PLAY arthure"

hearing how he emphasized the word play i knew he meant that he wanted to use weakened attack magic to fight just as we have secretly since last month when our parents found out we could use magic.

after saying this i got of the ground and a different fight than the one i had a few minutes before began.
