She arrived at Central Park with her kids in tow, and they were immediately struck by the sheer number of people there.
"Wow, there are so many people here!" her son, Ryan exclaimed.
"It's amazing, isn't it?" she replied, smiling.
As they strolled through the park, they started to draw some attention from passersby. "Your kids are so cute!" someone said.
"Your husband must be quite the looker to produce these two!" another chimed in.
"You must be a very proud parent!" another added.
"I'm sure they take after their father!" a third person
Ryan, the four-year-old boy, looked at them with a puzzled expression, while Rihanna, his twin sister, shyly smiled
"Why would they say we look like a stranger?" Ryan asked his mother. "I'm sure I look like my Mom." He added
"Maybe this will be our chance to find Dad!" Rihanna said excitedly.
But before her mother could respond, she noticed a group of people approaching them with wide eyes.
"Don't you think the boy looks like the President?" one of them whispered loudly.
"Yes, I agree. It's almost like they're twins!" another person said.
"Or when did the president gave birth or married without any of the staff knowing about it?"
"That's impossible! I look like my mother!" Ryan protested immediately they left, his cheeks flushing a bright red.
Suddenly, a car pulled up in front of them.
"It's Auntie Mia!" they squealed in delight.
Of course they knew her - she visited them every year in Russia.
As soon as Mia got out of the car, they rushed to greet her, wrapping their arms around her legs.
"My babies! You've grown so much!" she exclaimed, smiling broadly. "Come on, let's get in the car!"
As they climbed into the backseat, the kids began chattering excitedly about their trip.
"I can't wait to see New York City!" Rihanna gushed.
"And I can't wait to try all the different kinds of food!" Ryan added.
"Well, I think we should start with a classic - pizza!" Mia suggested.
The kids agreed, and they set off on their adventure in New York City.
As Lia watched her kids chatting animatedly in the backseat, she couldn't help but smile.
"Did your parents know you were back in New York?" Mia asked as she drove.
"Why would they know? They were so angry when I didn't go to France. Do you think I would come back if I didn't have a business here?" Lia replied, shrugging.
"True. But they won't care about you anymore, they're too busy with their new family. Kira even married the heir to the KC conglomerate!" Mia said.
"What about Jamie?" Mia asked. "He made everyone think you cheated on him, which we both know is not true."
"Jamie is not quite right in the head. I just wish him and Jessica the best in their marriage." Lia replied with a shrug, her expression emotionless.
"Mom, Ryan said he wants to buy a dad for us," the girl in the backseat piped up.
Mia burst out laughing, unable to contain herself. "That's not how it works, sweetie!"
"He says stuff like that all the time!" Lia said with a chuckle.
Rihanna's face grew serious. "But mommy, where is our dad?"
Lia takes a deep breath, knowing this is a conversation she would always have everyday.
"Your father is dead when you were just a baby. He lives far away, so we don't see him anymore."
The girl furrowed her brow, trying to process the information. "But why? Why did he die?"
She sighed frustratedly, no matter how she tried to explain to her children, it seemed they always forget what she told them.
