Chapter 17 - Royal Palace (3)

The teleport device looks like a warehouse-shaped building. It was intended to facilitate logistics and teleportation on a large scale.

Valdez dismounted from his horse followed by Alex who was guided down by Valdez. They walked together to enter the teleport device followed by the troops.

As soon as they entered the teleportation device, they could feel dense magical energy from the middle of the teleport device. That happened because that area is the center of the teleportation device and will only move anything that is in that area.

"Everyone immediately enters the teleportation circle," Valdez said as he looked at the troops.

Valdez and Alex who were followed by the troops entered the teleportation circle. As soon as they were inside the teleportation circle, a barrier dome appeared and covered them.

"Where do you want to go?"

A woman's voice suddenly echoed inside the barrier dome and it suddenly made Alex surprised since this is the first time he experienced it.

"Don't worry, she is Eva, a guide that was created to guide those who will use the teleportation device," Valdez said as he looked at Alex whom he recognized as Abigail.

"I will ask one more time, where do you want to go?" Eva asked again.

"We want to go to the royal palace," Valdez said.

"I'm sorry, but that's impossible unless you have a member of the royal family with you," Eva said.

Suddenly Valdez took off his shirt and immediately showed his back. On Valdez's back, there is a birthmark that symbolizes the holy grail which is a sign that he is one of the members of the royal family.

"All right, request accepted, pardon my impudence, his highness the crown prince," Eva said.

As soon as Eva said that, the teleportation circle below them lit up blue and emitted a bright light that was enough to dazzle their eyes.

The area around them started to distort and slowly turned into particles that were absorbed into the teleportation circle.

On the other hand, the teleportation circle inside the royal palace started to activate and release particles that gradually turned into the people who were inside the teleportation circle that was in the previous teleportation device.

"Here we are," Valdez said.

Even though Valdez said that, several knights from the troops following him experienced nauseous which was normal for those who were using teleportation devices for the first time.

Alex looked around and realized that people in general would get nauseous after they use the teleportation device. Therefore, Alex decided to pretend to be nauseous too.

Valdez looked at Alex who he knew as Abigail and immediately carried her to the restroom of the palace maids since he thought that Abigail also got nauseous.

"Your highness, who is this young lady? And why did you bring her here?" a maid who was the head maid asked Valdez as she looked at Alex.

"This young lady is my friend, she is feeling nauseous because this is her first time using a teleportation device," Valdez said. "Treat her as well as you treat me."

Hearing Valdez's words, the head maid couldn't say anything and could only obey what Valdez just said to her.

Valdez handed over Alex who he recognized as Abigail to the head maid to carry, and then he left the room without saying anything.

"Ah, I forgot, if I have to meet that old man," Valdez thought as he sighed.

Valdez went to meet the man he meant, who was none other than his father, the King of Inarania.

Valdez knelt before his father, and then his father said, "Stand up my son," as he looked at Valdez.

Even though the words of the king sounded normal and gentle, not with the expression on his face that was clearly seen trying to hold back his anger towards Valdez.

"So what did you want to call me here for?" Valdez asked his father.

"It's nothing, I just want to warn you to stay away from indecent acts and maintain your dignity as a crown prince," the king said to Valdez.

Hearing what his father had said to him, Valdez could guess what his father was trying to convey to him.

"Are you telling me to stay away from the woman I just brought into the royal palace?" Valdez asked his father.

However, his father didn't answer Valdez's question at all as if it was a yes answer to Valdez's question.

Valdez sighed and then he said, "Hey old man, listen to me-"

Before Valdez could finish his words, he saw a cynical smile from his father which indicated that his father had been waiting for what Valdez said.

"Ah never mind you won't listen to me," Valdez said as he leave his father behind.

Not long after Valdez left the king behind, the king got annoyed and punched his throne.

"Ah, you naughty boy, how could he have a girlfriend but not introduce her to me," the king thought as he smiled.

On the other hand, Alex tried to keep pretending to be nauseous and closing his eyes which made him unable to see what the royal maid was doing to him.

The royal maids bathed and dressed Alex who had the appearance of Abigail like a princess. They did it happily because that was the first time they received an order from the crown prince.

"Alright, with this, all done," the head maid said as she put a diamond necklace around Alex's neck.

"I think it's time for me to open my eyes," Alex thought.

Alex opened his eyes and how surprised he was when he saw the figure of a beautiful woman in front of him.

"Beautiful...," Alex said subconsciously.

"Oh, my... that beauty is you," the head maid said as she touched Alex's cheeks.

"Abigail?! Are you okay?!" suddenly Valdez shouted as he entered the dressing room.

The maids in the dressing room couldn't say anything to Valdez because the members of the royal family had a much, much higher hierarchy than them.
