Chapter 6: The stranger werewolf

“What are you talking about, Alarick? I want to avoid saying this, but you're getting me scared.” Blang stands still as she awaits Alarick to split out his reasons for lying to her and Cyrus.

“After I left with my family, my father took us to another cave, and this cave is beside a big ocean. At first, my sister was scared because she couldn't stand how big the ocean was, thinking maybe one day it might choke us inside the cave.

But my father insisted that we should stay in that cave because it is safe and cold there, you know as a vampire we can't stand under the sun. Our first night in that cave was terrible.”

“What happened?” Blang asked Alarick.

“It's hot, we don't know where it comes from. My mother and sister's skin almost burned off before we rushed out of the cave. That night was like we were already burning in hell, and then all of us jumped into the ocean to cool off.

After some minutes, we saw a reflection of a full moon penetrate the cave, it looked scary, and the moon went off suddenly. My father says he wanted to go and see what is happening inside the cave, but my mother stopped him because another heat might start again.

So, we'll sleep on the ocean ground and when the day bright again, we all went into the cave. And we discovered that they're messages written on the wall but, the most surprising part is, I was the only one that can read them. My father and mother tried so hard to read it, but they couldn't.”

“So what did you read?” Blang was curious as she looked at Alarick with one side of her eye.

“A child was born, after two hundred thousand years as promised, whose tears bring rain, and she's the moonlight,” Alarick replied Blang with a soft tone.

“And who's that child?” Blang exhales.

“You Blang! I told my parents that it was my friend Blang because ever since we were little if you cry, rain must fall and once you stop crying the rain will stop. I informed my father that we should come back for you and tell others too. Maybe there's more to the prophecy, but my father said we can't because my heart is breathing seriously. I'm sorry Blang that I kept this from you and Cyrus.”

Blang touched Alarick on his cheek with one of her palm hands, looking straight into his eyes with a beautiful smile on her face.

She told Alarick not to apologize because he still told her the truth, and he's not hiding anything again. Alarick's facial expression shows he's still hiding something.

“Or is there something else you still have to tell me, Alarick?” Blang asked.

[Stuttering] “Ooh… n…o, there's nothing. But Blang, aren't you bothered about the prophecy, or you don't believe me?”

“I do believe you Alarick, but there's nothing we can do about the prophecy because Cyrus and I have been banned from the cave,” Blang replied Alarick while still touching his cheek and looking straight into his eyes.

“But you and Cyrus can go back to the cave and I will explain to them about the prophecy. Maybe the ban can be lifted, or don't you think so?”

“No Alarick, my life is in this forest and not the cave, those in the cave don't care about me or Cyrus.”

Alarick got tempted by the way Blang was talking and looking at him, and he kissed Blang and forced himself on her.

Blang cried and rain started falling again, but Alarick did not stop until he satisfied himself. After both of them make out, Alarick apologizes to Blang to please forgive him.

“How could you do this to me, Alarick you know Cyrus and I loved each other!”

“But I love you too Blang, can't you see it!”

Blang slapped Alarick, and she promised to tell Cyrus what he did, Alarick begged Blang not to do so, but she insisted on telling Cyrus.

Alarick asked Blang to go ahead, Blang got shocked and looked back at Alarick then told him to repeat that statement.

“Yes, Blang! Go ahead and tell Cyrus, you're stronger than I am, why don't you push me away if you don't enjoy it!”

Blang turned back with her eyeballs turned to gold, the veins on her neck all popped out, and her fang also came out. Her body started turning into a werewolf, she was so furious.

While Alarick's eyeball also turned reddish with black, his nail came out so long. Blang saw that Alarick looked like someone that would attack her, then she turned into a werewolf and attacked Alarick first.

Alarick couldn't do anything apart from surrender and started crying, begging Blang to please forgive him. Blang was unable to do anything either, so she left the forest without hurting Alarick.

She ran back to the hut, Cyrus was outside waiting for her and Alarick. Cyrus was happy immediately after he saw Blang arriving, but a bit tense to see that she came back in a werewolf form.

Blang walks into the hut and turns back into a human, Cyrus refuses to go inside with her because he knows she must be naked, instead Cyrus went into the forest to get wrapping leaves for her to cover up.

When Cyrus came back holding the leaves, he saw Alarick already asleep at the front of the hut. Cyrus got shocked and said to himself that hoped Alarick hadn't seen Blang's nakedness? Then he rushed inside to cover her up.

The next morning, Cyrus and Alarick were talking and laughing when Blang woke up and came outside the hut. She was not comfortable seeing Cyrus and Alarick talking to themselves, and she moved closer.

“Thought you're leaving this morning?” Blang said, standing behind Alarick and Cyrus.

Both of them looked back at the same time. Cyrus got up, moved closer to Blang and asked her, what's wrong? Why that attitude? Or did both of them fight last night?

“We didn't Cyrus,” Alarick responds and also gets up from the ground.

“Are you sure we didn't Alarick?” Blang asked him with a straight face.

Cyrus was confused, and he asked them what was going on? But Alarick tells Cyrus it's nothing, maybe Blang woke up on the wrong side.

“Seriously Alarick? Or you want me to split everything out?” Blang asked Alarick.

“You know what Blang, I'm deeply sorry for what happened yesterday. I don't mean to do that, please, but I mean what I said to you back there.” Alarick takes a few steps forward towards Blang.

“Hold on, Alarick, Blang! What is going on between you two? I'm getting confused! What happened last night?” Cyrus asked Alarick and Blang, with a serious expression on his face.

But none of them did not reply to Cyrus, and he said so both of them won't say anything, right? Blang face Alarick and asked him to leave and never come back.

“Wait, wait, Blang! Why? Can someone talk to me now! You can't decide for Alarick to leave this place because we are friends!”

“No, Cyrus, Alarick promised to leave this morning, right Alarick?” Blang asked him.

But he wouldn't talk, and then Blang promised to leave if Alarick didn't go. Cyrus got mad and said nobody is leaving! Blang looks Alarick in the eyes and then tells him to do the right thing before it's too late.

“Fine, I'm sorry Cyrus, but I would leave and never come back just, as Blang said, I told her I was leaving.” Alarick looked pitiful, he couldn't look Blang in the eye.

“No Alarick you're not leaving, and why did you even decide to leave in the first place? Though we are doing fine here.” Cyrus asked him.

“Because I need to save my sister.” Alarick made a shocking revelation and that made Cyrus and Blang confused.

“Thought you said she's dead?” Blang asked Alarick while Cyrus was just staring at him with his mouth wide open.

[Crying] “I'…m sorry I lied to you and Cyrus, she's alive, Perlita is alive after Father and Mother passed away on the night of the moon, I and Perlita were still little then. We were afraid to stay inside the cave because if another heat occurs for prophecy,”

“What prophecy?” Cyrus asked Alarick.

“Alarick told me about where he and his family moved to, it was a cave that prophecy is being written on, but right now, I don't know if maybe he's telling the truth or not,” Blang replied Cyrus.

“No Blang, all that I told you yesterday was true, I mean everything.”

“Then where is your sister?” Cyrus asked him.

“We both ran from the cave and wanted to come back to you people when some evil vampires found us and took me and my sister away. They starve us with blood because we refused to take human blood, but where they locked me and Perlita, some rats did come there, so we killed them and drank the blood.

Not until one fateful day, a fight occurred among them, but we don't know what caused the fight and everywhere started burning, one of them opened the prison gate and asked me and my sisters to run away.

Perlita insisted that he should come with us, but the person refused. His other vampires found him and killed him, while my sister and I ran away.

We head back to your cave and explain everything that happens to them, our kin said they can't accept us, and we begged them to let us stay. One of them said they would let us stay if we had vital information for them because they can't trust us, our family left with no one noticing.

Then I tell them about Blang prophecy, they asked me not to tell any werewolves for now and I should go and confuse you to come back to the cave.”

“Wait for Alarick, firstly they asked you not to tell any werewolves about prophecy, and later they asked you to confuse Blang to come back to the cave, my question is what prophecy are you talking about?” Cyrus asked Alarick.

“Don't tell me you're buying this traitor lies, Cyrus!”

“No Blang! I just want to know what that prophecy is! What if they want to kill you because of the prophecy? Remember, not all the vampires in the cave are good! I don't even know if I can trust Alarick again!”

“Common, Cyrus, we can't trust him! He's here all this while just to gain our trust!” Blang was furious.

“Please Cyrus, Blang, I only did that for my sister. We have no place to stay, and I don't want her to go through worse again. Bring you back to the cave is the only way for us to stay.” Alarick's eyelids were full of water.

“And then what? Blang will be killed just for you and your sister to live? Thought we are best friends?” Cyrus feels disappointed.

“They might not kill her, Cyrus!”

“They might? Look, you are not even sure! Cyrus guesses we have to change location before these people attack us.” Blang becomes restless and tells Cyrus.

But Alarick told her that they can't attack her because her destiny is to die under the full moon with the person who created the powerful throne.

“Wait, are we missing something? What did you mean? What did you mean, Alarick? It appears to me that our beloved fake friend knows a lot we don't! Come on, spit it out!” Cyrus pushed him on the chest while Blang was speechless.

“Sorry Blang, when we're in the cave many prophecies came for you and I read them all.”

“And did you tell them about it? Answer me.” Blang asked Alarick aggressively.

“Yes, I did because I have no choice.”

“Cyrus, we can't stay here to witness the moon, we need to leave because they might attack us that day.”

“Wait Blang, you said something about the throne Alarick, does the prophecy say something about it?”

Alarick nodded and said yes, he explained further that the tears of the moonlight will be used to cover the throne as a beauty.

Cyrus and Blang were amazed because Alarick had not arrived when the throne was painted with Blang's tears and ashes. Cyrus tells Alarick to tell him more, but he says that's all he knows.

Blang and Cyrus sent Alarick away and warn him to never come back again because if he does, they would kill him. Alarick left the forest while Cyrus and Blang discussed that they should change location and build another hut somewhere else, since the evil vampires know about the throne now, they might come for it and that shouldn't happen.
