Chapter 7: Betrayer vampire

Alarick went back to the cave and when he got there, his kin asked him about the assignment they gave him because it was years now and Alarick did not fulfill his assignment.

He begged them to give him more time, but one of those people noticed Alarick, because of how nervous he is. And the vampire asked Alarick what happened and where he was coming from?

Alarick said nothing but the vampire did not believe him, he patronized Alarick and made him confess what happened and Alarick told them that Cyrus and Blang have already known about him being a spy.

The vampire got pissed and used his hand to strike Perlita to death where she was seated. Her body melted and vanished into the air. Alarick got pissed and then killed the vampire as well. Other vampires were furious and wanted to attack Alarick, but he ran off from the cave.

He went back to the forest but this time around he was alone, he destroyed so many trees with anger and cried all through the day. His heartbeat increased more than before. Alarick was helpless and also looked pitiful.

Cyrus and Blang moved far away from their former hut and built another hut somewhere else in the forest. Both of them were happy, but Cyrus always talked about how Alarick betrayed them and they both promised to never trust anybody again.

After seven days that they both arrive at the new place and build their hut, Cyrus and Blang make out, but none of them regrets it. They live a happy life and are prepared for the day expected for the blood moon to come out.

Cyrus and Blang always bow before the throne and make a wish every morning, and they wish to make the coming moon bloody.

Those at the other caves were also preparing for the moon, most of them were sad because they all knew that some of them would die that night.

But the evil vampires that know about the throne gather themselves and prepare to start looking for Cyrus and Blang so that they can take the throne from them before the night of the blood moon.

Alarick has already found a place to stay in the forest. One evening, the sun had already set, Alarick was looking for prey in the forest, and he came across a hut.

Alarick was a bit far from the hut. He began to wonder who could be living inside the hut until he saw Blang coming out from the hut and Cyrus followed.

Alarick was pissed then he left and went back to his space but always comes around every evening to see how Blang and Cyrus are doing. Days passed by that Blang started feeling strange.

She fell weak at times which it shouldn't be, Blang hid how she felt for Cyrus until one day both of them saw a deer, normally Blang always likes to kill any prey they see but that day she asked Cyrus to go after it.

Cyrus went and killed the deer and then brought it back to the hut. Blang was lying down on the ground sleeping, Cyrus noticed she was not well, and he took care of her, feeding Blang with the deer.

Alarick came to his usual spot, and he saw how Cyrus was taking care of Blang. Alarick was concerned, and he asked himself what could be happening to Blang, he wanted to face Cyrus and asked how Blang was doing.

Then he remembered what Cyrus said to him, that he must never show his face to them again. Alarick left and went back to his place. Days pass by and Blang has not fully recovered from her illness.

She noticed that her tummy is getting big, Blang told Cyrus about this and Cyrus said maybe she was pregnant. Blang was shocked, but Cyrus was delighted.

He said both of them will have a child and also asked Blang if perhaps she's not happy about it with her expression. Blang told Cyrus she's scared because she knows nothing but keeping a pregnancy.

Cyrus tells her not to worry about him being here to support her, besides, it is their child. The joy in Cyrus was so much. Alarick did not come to his spot for so many days, but the day he came, Alarick saw how big Blang's stomach was, and he was shocked.

He blames himself for leaving Blang for Cyrus and doesn't fight for the love he has for her, Alarick cries again then goes back to his spot.

A few more days to the day the blood moon is expected. And anytime the blood moon is expected, all the werewolves will be craving raw meat.

Cyrus went into the bush and looked for meat, while Blang was staying back in the hut. She was picking some dry sticks around the hut, but felt somehow tired. Alarick came to his usual spot, and he saw Blang, he felt pity for her.

Blang was about to pick the dry stick in front of her when she saw Alarick, he picked it up and gave it to her. Blang becomes furious.

"What are you doing here, traitor!" Blang asked Alarick with no trace of laughter on her face.

"I'm not here to fight you or anything, I'm just here to help you," Alarick says with a soft tone.

"Help! And you think I will believe you? Or believe whatever that comes from your mouth, Alarick? Let me ask you this, how did you find us here? You never left?"

"No Blang, I left that day and went back to the cave, but they sent me away and killed my sister. Please believe me, Blang! I regret leaving you that day because I truly love you."

"How dare you say that to me, Alarick! I am having a child for Cyrus, so please leave here now!" Blang said to Alarick angrily.

"No Blang, I won't leave you again."

Both of them were arguing about leaving or not when Cyrus showed up holding animals he killed. He was shocked to see Alarick, and he asked him what is doing in their place.

"I know how much you despise me Cyrus, but please, I still want our friendship back. They have sent me away from the cave, so I can't betray you or Blang anymore."

"I don't believe you Alarick and I will never believe you, so you better leave this place now before I do something I might regret to you." Cyrus' eyes ball becomes gold.

"Blang, please talk to Cyrus for me, ." Alarick becomes pitiful.

"Don't you dare call Blang's name because I won't let you stay near us! Leave now, Alarick, I'm warning you!" Cyrus' face was filled with anger.

[Inhale] Alarick left and Cyrus quickly hugged Blang. He asked if Alarick did something to her? Blang said no.

"But Cyrus, did you think it was okay as we sent him away? I can feel him telling the truth."

"What! Blang, don't tell me you believe all that he said? He's just trying to trick us, remember he lied to us for years. Come on Blang, guess we have to seek another place to stay again, who knows he might go back to his people and rat us out there."

Cyrus holds Blang closed to himself, but Blang expression shows she's not happy about how Alarick was sent away.

"Cyrus," Blang called his name slowly.

"What Blang?"

"Do we have to go somewhere else?"

"Why Blang?"

"Because I'm tired of moving to different places."

"But Blang we can't trust Alarick, he might tell us to his other evil vampires, and you know that soon enough the moon will appear in the sky," Cyrus replied to Blang.

"Then let's wait and fight them if they come for us, please Cyrus."

"What about your condition Blang? Can't let you fight in this condition. But wait, don't tell me you believe Alarick,"

"I don't Cyrus and please, don't worry too much about me, I can still fight to remember what Alarick said I'm the strongest among all the werewolves."

"And don't forget he also said, he saw you died under the full moon, so we can't take chances Blang." Cyrus was feeling concerned.

"That won't happen, Cyrus, trust me." Both of them hold each other's hands.

Whilst.

Alarick got to his spot, he was furious and said Cyrus will regret sending him away after begging him.

"My sister was killed, and yet, I still come back but you two sent me away, then await your doom!"

Alarick said these to himself and then headed to the cave to give information to the other vampires. At first, they wanted to attack him, but he asked them to listen to him.

Alarick tells them where Cyrus and Blang were staying now, and they're weak because Blang is

pregnant so on the day of the moon, they can attack them.

One of the vampires says Alarick better be telling the truth or else they might kill him. Alarick left the cave and went back to his spot. He regrets going to the cave to report Cyrus and Blang's new hiding place.

Alarick said to himself that he shouldn't have told those vampires where Cyrus and Blang are hiding.

"What have I done to my friends! I let my anger get the best of me!!!" Alarick began to cry again then wiped his tears and said to himself that, since, his heart has become weaker.

This means on the night of the moon he might die, maybe that will be the payment of his sins.

A few days later Blang and Cyrus were sleeping at night when Blang woke up and started feeling pain, she quickly woke Cyrus up. Both of them know nothing about giving birth, but Cyrus tried all his possible best to make sure that Blang gave birth peacefully to a baby boy.

When Blang wants to give birth, the full bright moon that normally comes out and kills vampires and werewolves appears in the sky. All the vampires and werewolves in the cave were scared because that moon appeared so soon, some even though they might die that night.

Alarick was scared, and he hid under the tree, thinking about how the moon could appear so soon.

While Cyrus and Blang take care of their baby, it was a joyful night for them. Blang cried so that rain would fall, and they got water to bathe the baby. Cyrus ran into the forest to get wrapping leaves for the baby.

The moon vanished from the sky without hurting anyone, the vampires, and werewolves were surprised that this is the first time a full bright moon will come out without anybody dying.

Alarick came to his spot that night to check on Cyrus and Blang. When he got there, Alarick heard a baby crying, and he said to himself that the Blang baby had been born. Joy took over Alarick's heart. He stays all through the night and waits until the bright day before going back to his place.

Cyrus and Blang placed their son on the throne; they vow that he will be the one to sit on it once he grows up.

A day before the moon will come out, all the werewolves and vampires were scared again that another moon will be out the next day, and it might kill them all because the moon did not hurt anyone on its first appearance.

Cyrus and Blang were also wishing it would come out bloody, while Alarick promised to be at his viewing point, on the day that the moon will appear.

[Shuddered breathing & twigs snapping] "Please help me, help me, please."

"Hey, Cyrus, did you hear that?" Blang glanced at Cyrus, holding her son tight to herself.

"Calm down Blang I can't hear anything," Cyrus responded, and he listened attentively.

The voice keeps approaching and the person shouting for help. Cyrus heard the leaves rustling, he asked Blang to go inside the hut while he looked for that person.

Blang was about to go into the hut when Cyrus saw a woman holding a one-month-old baby boy. The boy was covered with leaves by his mother, Cyrus sensing that the woman is a werewolf. She was bleeding, and her wound was a deep cut.

"Hey. Who are you? Blang look." Cyrus shouted.
