The two weeks of training before the sports festival went by quickly. Right now the former guardian was inside his house getting ready to go towards the stadium.
"Now, Shirou…give them hell."
He sweatdropped. Now his mother was going to be watching him. Probably his father too.
With a sigh, he left his house, heading to the stadium.
(This is just to show off. No need to reveal everything I can do. That would be pretty stupid.)
The stadium was farther away, so he had to take the train. He was still salty about loosing the battle for the cookies though.
With a sigh he got on the train and grabbed the handle to steady himself.
(…This train is oddly full, isn't it?)
___
"Ah, you made it Emiya-san!"
That was Midoria, the only kid he actively talked to, apparently.
"Yeah."
A simple answer from a simple person… yeah no. Sometimes he's astonished by his own skill in holding a conversation .
"Get out of the way! White haired extra!"
And he suddenly wanted to kick someone. Surprising, considering it takes a lot to get him mad. He dealt with Rin a few times after-all.
"Careful, the force of nature is coming towards us."
He says, watching as bakugo smirks. Smiling in satisfaction he finishes.
"And his name is light sprinkle."
Izuku sweat-drops while bakugo is ready to explode. Emiya chuckles at his own joke, he should have tried to pull that one on lancer… or even Saber. He would have died though but it would be totally worth it.
___
"WELCOME BACK TO THE UA SPORTS FESTIVAL! THIS YEAR WE HAVE SPECIAL CONTESTANTS! YOU ALL KNOW THEM, CLASS 1-A! THE FIRST YEARS WHO CAME OUT OF THE VILLAIN ATTACK WITHOUT A SCRATCH!"
(Was this really necessary? What are we a prize to show off?)
Shurou tuned out the other introductions while he decided what to do. Should he or should he not use his projections in this tournament. Deciding to not be an idiot, he banned projections if he doesn't need it. Sure there might be some files on his "quirk", but they didn't know everything.
For example… what the weapons effects are. If he pulled out that assholes spear he would be able to kill anyone… unless they have some bullshit quirk like "Don't die".
"-Would the first year representative, Emiya Shirou, come up to give a speech?"
(… say wha?)
The white haired teen looked at one of his teachers called midnight, who was motioning him to go up on the podium with her, to apparently give a speech.
Crap.
-in an unknown apartment-
"Pfffft…!?"
A blue haired teen spits out the juice he was drinking. He was watching the TV where the UA sports festival was being shown.
His red eyes locked on the short white hair of the first year representative. Shirou Emiya.
(So that was your name… damn. Never expected that.)
He thinks as he cleans up the juice he spilt. With a sigh he sat down and watched with amusement as the bastard was thinking up a speech.
"Brat! Im home! Has the festival started yet?!"
The ex-Lancer servant tilted his head and shouted back.
"Yeah! Come quick! The first year representative is giving his speech!"
(Can't wait for the day we meet. He's going to loose his shit.)
___
"We all strive to be a hero… Thinking that with the power that was ours since the age of four will helps up protect the ones who don't have the ability to stand up for themselves…"
(Shit. What the fuck am I even saying? I don't know anything about a speech. I just fought crime and stopped a few wars and got hanged at the end. No-one prepared me for a speech.)
"… it's not always so simple as defeating a villain, a hero must must be a symbol, a hero must give hope to everyone when people see them. And right now, we stand here, wanting to be those symbols while the others, who already achieved their goals, are watching us. This is our chance to put them at ease. Tell them that the next generation is here and soon, we will be ready to take their place as protectors of innocents. So ready yourselves. today is the day we show the world that we have arrived."
-with lancer-
"…"
"…"
"…you know… the speech was good. But it would help if he didn't say it in such a monotone voice."
Lancer couldn't help but agree with his mother on that. He…lacked motivation… probably because of his previous experience as a counter guardian.
That bastard must have seen a lot more then any one in this world.
(…I wonder if he choose his hero name after his class in the grail war…)
He wondered with some amusement, but his face darkened soon after.
(…and if there is anyone else other then us.)
——
If the speech sucks, I will rewrite it. Im not good with those.
