Chapter 5: End of the First Day

Midoriya's performance surprised and enraged a certain individual. Bakugo wasn't just surprised by how he suddenly had a quirk but also because of how strong it was. He rushes toward him in anger but was immediately apprehended by Aizawa.

"You're wasting our time, the next one should get ready." This small exchange gave Araki an insight into what kind of people he will be socializing with.

'A bully and his punching bag. A supposed to be useless kid became strong suddenly.'

After three students get their results, it was now Araki's turn. Araki performed like how the other tests which are quite normal, too normal to be exact. For someone accepted on hero course, he should have at least one strong point. Even a support-based quirk like the violet ball-hair guy has one so he should too.

But only a few people noticed this because they are all too absorbed in the flashier people. For someone on the hero course, he performed like a normal civilian.

The class soon finish the other tests such as seated-toe touch, sit-ups, and long-distance runs. Aizawa gathers everyone around to announce the test.

"The total is based on the marks you got in every test. Since it is a drag to explain, just see your results." Aizawa shows a hologram of the results for everyone to see.

Everyone looks at Araki simultaneously, then at Aizawa. Midoriya however, on the side, has complicated emotions inside him. He thought he got the worst score in the class but suddenly, someone else's the last. He doesn't know whether to be happy or sad because he isn't the last one.

"By the way, I'm lying about the expulsion. It was just a trick to make you use your quirk to the fullest. But it looks like someone is confident that they can see through the trick and even challenge me." Aizawa was, of course, talking about Araki. Everyone realizes this too. Momo, although knew it, didn't dare do it.

"It was pretty obvious if you thought it through."

"That was nerve-wracking." "I'll take on the challenge anytime."

"We're done here. The hand-outs about the curriculum and schedule are in the classroom so look after them after you get back." Aizawa gave Midoriya a clinic slip and left the class. Everyone disperses and returns to their room after changing back to their uniform.

After introductions to all the other classes, the first school day ended and everyone packs their things. Some groups decided to go and hang out to better know each other. Araki is on the other side of the equilibrium and left for home immediately.

While in the room doing some work-out, his phone rings. He picks the call up and a voice greets him. The person is speaking in English which is a challenging subject for most high-schoolers.

"Hello, Mr. Araki, the product you ordered is currently being delivered. The latest it can be delivered is a day from tomorrow." The voice on the other side is very fluent and is clearly a foreigner.

"Oh, thank you. If you can please tell Margaret that if she raises the price one more time, I'm never gonna buy again. She's ripping me off." Araki answered her in English, fluently.

"Thank you for your consideration, sir. I'm going to deliver the message to young miss." The call ended. He went back to his workout and rests after he completed all of it.

The night passed by quietly. The next day, Araki arrived in the classroom early like yesterday. This time, there are more than two people and the excitement on the faces of his classmates is obvious. Some though, are stoic or sleeping. He takes his seat and glances at the stoic boy on his left with white and red hair.

"You're Shoto Todoroki, right? Nice to meet you, I hope you aren't as cold as your quirk." He offers his hand for a shake but Todoroki just looks at his hand and went back on staring to nowhere. "Jinxed."

The class soon started with the same compulsory subjects as other schools, but the fun started in the afternoon. The Hero Basic Training.

"I am… coming through the door like a normal person!" All Might enters the room in his hero costume. Everyone is, of course, surprised to have the number 1 hero as their teacher.

"I teach Hero Basic Training. This is a subject where you learn and train the basics of being a hero. This is the subject that would hone you to become the best heroes the world can have."

"Let's get into it! Today, we are going to have… COMBAT TRAINING! And to go with that are these!" The wall extends and cases with numbers are displayed for everyone.

These cases contain their own costume and All Might tells them to wear it and go to the Ground Beta.

Minutes later, the class can be seen marching on a dark tunnel with their teacher on the other side. They all wear different types of costumes. Some are simplistic, some are extravagant, some look badass, and some look efficient.

Araki is wearing a red skintight suit paired with black gloves that extends to his arms, yellow boots, and a belt. He also has a white cape with gold highlights on the edges and collar. The six black bracelets can also be seen at his two arms, distributed equally. The whole costume shows his well-trained body and some can't help but peek at him. To them, he looks like a comic book hero that came to life.

"That's great everyone, you all look cool. Now then, shall we begin?"

All Might starts the explanation for the activity. In short, the class will be separated into teams of two. Some of the pairs are going to act the role of villains and some are the heroes. They will be fighting each other indoors and they either need to capture each other or complete the objective given to them.

Many students ask their questions and All Might pulls out a script to explain it in more detail. They draw lots for the pairings. Araki got Team C and his partner is Momo Yaoyorozu, the girl with a very good quirk.
