The scoreboard wasn't kind to losers in any way, those with less than six points were instantly thrown out, and those left were the destined finalists.

The stage was filled to the brim, merchants were at their best, calling out to potential customers. The fighters had rested well for two whole days, and the stage had been prepared for them. In that time, they had all prepared, both physically and mentally.

__________

"LET'S MAKE WELCOME, THE STRONGEST AND BEST OF THE ALLIANCE, THE ONES WHO MIGHT LEAD US ONE DAY, THE FINALISTS!!!!!"

"YEEAAHH!!"

"WOOOHOOOOO!!!"

"WAR WAR WAR WAR!!!"

"FLASH MY IDOL!! SUPER KICK THEIR ASSES FOR ME!"

"METALLIC ROGUE! METALLIC ROGUE! METALLIC ROGUE! METALLIC ROGUE!"

All sorts of praises were thrown out to them. There were even confetti showered, and they seemed to be enjoying it, well... except the Orc, he looked to be allergic to the confetti and ended up sneezing catarrh on the Zanarian ahead of him.

The crowd burst into laughter at the scene, but the Zanarian refrained from doing anything and burnt off the disgusting matter from his robe.

"For the final battle, it won't be a Battle Royale, neither a team battle, nor a battle amongst yourselves." The MC took charge and explained the battle format.

"The ten of you will be facing opponents personally handpicked by us after we have taken into consideration your fighting styles, and literally every battle related thing about you." The MC paused, either to catch his breath, or to make them anxious, either way, it appeared to be working.

"So don't expect an easy battle, either you die, or your opponent dies." The MC cleared his throat and did what he always did before every battle.

"GET READY... TO RUUUUUUMBLEEEEE!!!!"

And indeed, the ground did rumble.

Cracks surfaced on the ground as seismic waves traveled through them, tremors ran through it, threatening to throw them off their feets.

The ground quaked as if a magnitude 9.0 earthquake was happening. Then without warning, pillars began to shoot out of the ground in an orderly fashion, forcing the ten man force to scatter and protect themselves.

Jayden with his Rogue Suit was the safest among them all, he didn't need to worry about getting injured and just dodged, once in a while getting smacked furiously by a random pebble.

Just as soon as the whole stage started shaking, it stopped. They were then able to see the changes that had occurred.

The contestants had been strategically separated by thick walls, so instead of one large stage, it was divided into ten smaller compact areas fit for battle.

The contestants darted their eyes all over the stage with their weapons raised and their abilities activated, searching for their opponents to prevent an ambush from any side.

Jayden stood in the middle of the stage, looking dumbly at nothing in particular, or at least that's what everyome thought, but he was actually using Energy Scan to search his vicinity.

"Relax, your opponents aren't there yet." The MC's voice sounded. They relaxed a little, but didn't dare drop their guard, they couldn't just wantonly believe him.

"There is a gate ahead of you all, once open, your opponents will be brought out."

The MC then smiled and showed them the peace sign. "Have fun." He said, and the silence dome was brought down.

__________

In one of the separate parts of the stage, a Beast Kin stood with her head held high.

She was a Bird Kin and had the bloodline of the Phoenix –a powerful GodBeast– not just that, her bloodline percentage was quite high, giving her a variety of powerful skills, mutations and other perks.

The Beast Kin stood at a height of three meters, had an Eagle-like head and golden/red/orange feathers on her forearm.

She wore a light armour –colored golden with red trims– that covered her hands, her whole back, chest, abdomen and thighs.

The gate which the MC spoke about began to lift up, deep growls escaped the grid shaped heavy iron gate, and the sound of chains rattling filled the Beast Kin's ears.

Chilling mist blew out of the gate, creating glaciers, snow, icicles and frosty layers on everything it touched.

A loud roar boomed out from beyond the gate, and out of the darkness, a white furred, clawed hand emerged. Loud thuds of footsteps were heard, and a beast walked out, the chains on its body freezing over and shattering into fragments.

"A Primal Yeti." The Beast Kin's eyes narrowed at the beast. "And an Alpha at that."

The beast roared, and a wave of chilling mist spread out, encasing everything in ice.

The Primal Yeti was a humanoid beast. It had one twisted horn on its head–a little bit above it's eyebrows– and two more grew out from where its eyes were meant to be.

Blue and white fur covered its whole body, and it's exposed hands, feets and face were blue with white stripes.

The Primal Yeti although blind, had the ability to sense heat in a radius of over a ten kilometer, and the Phoenix Kin was a fire based beast that naturally released lots of heat.

The Phoenix Kin had clearly done her research on her natural enemies, so she had a plan on how to defeat the Primal Yeti, but knowing how to do something and actually doing it, were two different things.

The Yeti locked on the Beast Kin and exploded into action. Several icicles formed from the ice and snow that covered the ground and shot towards the Phoenix Kin.

The Phoenix Kin expertly dodged the sharp attacks and launched weapons conjured from fire of its own.The two combatants weaved through the multitude of attacks and failed to inflict any damage on each other. The Yeti roared and increased it's salvo, yet, it still wasn't enough to harm the Beast Kin.

Ice was melted into water, which was then evaporated into steam, and fire was quenched and turned into smoke, both of which began to run rampant in their stage, reducing the Beast kin's visibility.

The Yeti –a Sovereign Tier Beast– could not be easily defeated, it channeled its elemental power, forming an Ice Armour over itself, and coating it's hands in thick ice until it looked like its hands had turned into Large Swords.

The two primal predators stood opposite each other with deadly killing intent oozing out of their being, the air palpable with tension as if at any moment, all hell will be let loose... and true, the Beast Kin took the initiative this time.

She summoned a pair of Chakrams from her space ring hanging from a chain on her neck, and without further ado, bolted towards the Yeti.

The Yeti charged at the Beast Kin and waved its sword arms, the Beast Kin bent, using her superioir dexterity and agility to twist and evade the fast attacks.

The Phoenix Kin retaliated, her Chakrams cutting through the air and scratching the Yeti's armour, failing to reach the Yeti's skin.

The Yeti realised the dangers of the Beast Kin's weapons and increased the density of the ice armour. The Beast Kin paled at the sight of that.

"It was already hard enough to cut through the thick armour, and the stupid thing went ahead and increased the sturdiness." The Beast Kin muttered angrily.

"I guess I have no choice." The Phoenix screamed. "BLOODLINE SURGE."

The Phoenix Kin –grim but undeterred– screeched and suddenly exploded like a bomb, hurling pieces of torn flesh, evaporated blood and rended armour everywhere.

"Suicide." The Yeti spoke, the look on it's face greatly relaying one of confusion as it stared at the where the Phoenix Kin once stood.

A handful of ashes layed on the ground still releasing smoke. The smell of burnt flesh and metal further made the Yeti believe that the Beast Kin committed suicide, but on second thought, why would the Beast Kin do that?

The Yeti walked over with it's guard raised, and peered intently at the ashes. Without warning, the ash glowed like embers and began to rise into the air.

The Yeti stepped back and tensed it's hands, ready for anything.

The ashes spiralling in the air, caught fire and began to shape itself, growing in size and shape shifting into something legendary.

A bright light shown from the brilliant golden flaming bird, and it rose to the sky and screeched, announcing it's rise... the rise of the Phoenix.
