Greenstone Poison

Nate walked into his room as if he was drunk. He stumbled, fell and barely caught himself before his face smashed on the table.

Nahshon seeing the situation immediately deactivated the Rogue Suit. Jayden not expecting that, fell from the air but landed lightly on the ground.

Nate had finally gotten up from the ground and looked at Jayden. Jayden was confused about the way he moved and wondered why.

Jayden peered intently at Nate and soon saw blood oozing out of his nose, his eyes had thick green veins bulging and visibly pulsating.

Jayden immediately ran to his friend and helped him up.

"Nate are you okay?!!" He screamed in despair.

Nate stared at his friends face and relaxed, he immediately passed out as the blood pouring out of his nose increased and turned slightly green. His eyes rolled towards the back of his head and his skin became cold and deathly pale.

Jayden felt the lights in his room flicker and turn off abruptly.

His night vision was turned on and he saw everything in the dark room a bit better than when he was in Planet Euphorias forest. He ignored this change for now and picked Nate up.

Nate being poisoned and all energy devices turning off immediately after that wasn't a coincidence.

"Someone's at work here." Jayden mumbled.

He carried Nate out of his room carefully, he noticed Nate's door opened but ignored it and immediately left, to get him to a doctor. His friend's safety was more important than closing the doors behind him.

Jayden tried activating his Mech Suit, but it didn't work, it proved his assumptions that an Energy EMP had been used to shut down and prevent all energy devices from working for a specified time. And unless the energy device was stronger than the Energy EMP it was practically impossible to properly make use of any energy device.

Jayden ran out of the big building that contained several rooms where some of the boys of the first year resided. He sprinted towards the schools clinic, and on arriving, he busted the door and made it fly off it's hinges.

The door being broken apart startled those that were in the quiet area. Some guards that were close by ran towards the commotion but Jayden had already taken Nate to the nearest nurse who reacted in time and brought a floating stretcher to carry Nate away.

Soon a team was taking Nate off with several strange devices working on him.

Jayden was forced to stay outside. A doctor with some parts of his body replaced with nanotech came out to ask Jayden some questions. He answered them hurriedly before the doctor nodded his head and went back to Nate's ward.

__________

THIRTY MINUTES LATER.

__________

Jayden sat down with his head held down, thinking about the person who could have done this and each time, he thought of only one person. Derrick.

He was becoming a pain in the ass and needed to be taken out as soon as possible. He had caused enough trouble to make Jayden want to him kill him on sight, and if he was chanced, Jayden would take him out without a second thought.

Jayden waited for feedback from the doctor, the doctor and nurses surely were doing their best, he knew it.

To be able to poison someone in this day and age, it will be a herculesn task, but somehow, Derrick had done so right under their noses.

They couldn't do anything to him unless they had hard evidence, if there was no proof –even if everyone in the world knew that he was the one behind it– he wouldn't be prosecuted.

Jayden groaned loudly and pulled at his short black hair in frustration, garnering the attention of those around him.

He waited and waited, until the same doctor came back to see him.

"Mr Nova."

"Huh..." Jayden looked up at the mention of his name and without hesitation, stood up to speak with the doctor.

"It's unfortunate, but it looks like your friend was poisoned." The doctor started. "I'm sure you must have realized that. No? If not, now you do. We ran some tests and we figured out that the poison is..." The doctor paused dramatically, which made Jayden tensed as if it was some K Drama being played out before him.

".... The infamous Greenstone Poison."

Jayden stopped and felt the world spin around him at the mention of the poison in his best friends body.

Previously, he was a type of person who didn't really care about what went on in the world, unless it concerned him and needed his attention. But there wasn't a person who didn't know about the infamous Greenstone Poison. Nate had always yapped about how deadly the poison was. It didn't immediately kill the victim, but it killed them slowly while they felt undescribable pain.

The poison acted as cells that fought against anything that entered the person's body, be it diseases, medicines or even food substances, it was all destroyed the moment it entered the body.

The poisoned cells multiplied infinitely and turned cancerous, they mutated the individual, turning them into monstrous and abominable apparitions. The victim was in a state of comatose and would remain that way until the Greenstone Poison ended their life.

The cure to Greenstone Poison was unknown and anyone with Greenstone Poison flowing through their veins was practically cast away and left to die.

Jayden was at loss and stared at the doctor with his mouth agape.

"I'm sorry for your loss." And with those words, the doctor walked back to attend to other patients.

Several machines moved around to attended to students who were injured, it greatly relieved the doctor and nurses of too much work and made things faster, easy and efficient.

Jayden stood there while several bots on wheel passed by him, some nurses and students passed while giving him annoyed stares. But he wasn't in the right state of mind to mind them, what was on his mind right now was how to cure his friend.

'Nahshon, there's a way to cure Nate right? You must have something, you're from the future and you're blessed with knowledge from both the past, the present and FUTURE!!. THERE MUST BE SOMETHING!!. ANYTHING!!!!

[Calm down Jayden, take deep breaths]

Nahshon tried to calm Jayden downbefore continuing.

[I am not sure.....

.... But I might have a way]
