The heels of her shoes tapped the ground as she elegantly made her way toward him. "The federation is coming for your arrest."
"What?" Derek tilted his head and narrowed his eyes. His tone conveyed his disbelief and shock yet it was strangely calm, as if it were impossible for fear to sprout in his heart.
Natasha stood before him and stretched a tablet over him. "This is serious, Derek. You've been charged with the murder of Mr. Curtis and his family. There's also a charge of a massacre. Apparently, hundreds of guards and innocent workers were killed."
Scrolling through the tablet, Derek scowled. "I never touched Curtis's family; no worker was killed either and innocents? Those people worked with my blood! They did experiments on people and not once did anyone think that their lab rats also had loved ones. They got what they deserved."
Natasha turned as Derek walked past her and sat on his desk, tapping the desk while staring into space.
