Derek appeared almost a hundred meters away from their home only to find out Li Mei was already close to the gates of Ark 'What is wrong with her?!' he yelled inwardly.
'You. She's afraid of killing you.' Bao answered, and Derek snorted. "I am going to severely punish her. How dare she leave me like that!"

Bao sighed, as he couldn't tell Derek that he might lose himself due to the corruption in his system. Activating Finisher's hidden ability, a dagger shot through the road heading toward the gates of Ark.
He kept teleporting at extreme speed, but Li Mei only got further and further. They were already a mile away from Ark, but clearly, she hadn't recovered. Leaving the safety of the stronghold, they were on their own.
Pursing her for a few miles, Derek was covered in sweat, breathing roughly, and Bao feared for Li Mei as Derek's anger slowly rose, risking his corruption flaring up. "Enough!"
