Through the Anoraks eyes

"So, let me guess he pulled you up here." Jake asked cleaning up the rubble and dust of his desk ,picking up all the torn pieces of doodles, "Question, how fast do you think my bro is?" Lucas continued chuckling.

"So it is true, he's able to reach inhuman speed," Maximus responded, putting all the broken pieces of wood in a small pile. "But what can you do, Jake ?" Maximus continued to ask entering the small, cramped space.

"oh I can't do much physical stuff I'm more of a make it and fix it kind of guy," Jake answered repairing the bike that Maximus dismantled."I'm impressed that you were able to do this." Jake responded, trying to put the bike back together.

"Oh I'm super sorry about that I..." but before Maximus could finish Jake raised his hand for silence saying,

"I see how you and my bro became friends, always coming up with excuse, don't worry about it I'll just fix it to night before you guys go to college." Jake said with a huff as he looked for something in the infinite amount of paper and broken tools "You just go to bed it's ten minutes past eleven." Jake continued pushing him away from the shed and into the house.

"Wow he was super fast to get rid of you wasn't he." Lucas called out chuckling a bit at the stairs ",don't take offence by him that's just how he is during his work, he'll be a bit more talkative after his works done, anyways we gotta go to bed so come on up I'll show you to your bed room." Lucas continued walking up the stairs with Maximus in toe.

"the bedroom is in the left room, you'll sleep with your little sis, I think your top bed." Lucas said opening the door to a big room that was empty and barren the complete opposite of Omegas room on the left their was a bunk bed and in the middle of the room Calida stood their silently she had now changed in to baggy pyjamas.

"Oh hell no I'm not sleeping in the same room as this idiot!" Calida yelled pointing at Maximus.

"Well to bad this is the only spare and anyway your not sleeping with him your gonna be in different beds, does that work for you miss princess?" Lucas said sarcastically, leaving her with a poutting look."If that's all hope you guys have a nice nap you two." Lucas said turning around,closing the door behind the two.

"Fine since we have no choice, you take top bunk I take lower bunk and don't you dare wake me up unless it's important." Calida said jumping into her bed and rolling over.

"Knowing her she'll definitely holding up her end of the bargain, so i better be quiet." Maximus thought, tiptoeing and climbing up to his bed.

"Calida...I have a...important question?" Maximus stuttered questioning Calida, getting ready to be hit in the head, but nothing happened.

"What is it you want... and be quick about it?" Calida asked in irritation turning to face the top bed, "And it better be worth waking up." Calida continued.

"Well, I wanted to know who taught you how to use your flames?" Maximus asked scratching his head, "I'm guessing you were worth a lot to the army to use the whole squadron to come take you on."Maximus continued chuckling to himself.

"You're correct no one not even the Iblie army can defeat an elemental if they had at least three years to practise to practice their power... but I only had 2 years to practice." Calida responded, with a soft tone surprising Maximus.

"Wait how come you didn't have three years to practise?" Maximus asked in confusion

"My tutor Louis Aed he was a famous fire user who fought in many wars but was killed due to her losing her ability to control flames... it was because of me that she lost her power if she had it, she could be alive to this day and not..." Calida stopped herself she felt like every word was like another cut in the wrist.

"She... she could've survived and not... have her head as the kings trophy!" Calida cried out in anguish tears running down her face.

As she cried Maximus came down from his bed and sat down across Calida and hugged her. "You did not kill her, you hear me." Maximus whispered to her holding her tight.

"But, you don't know how it feel's like... to... lose someone you love, right in front of you're eyes." Calida said she was still letting out tears.

As she said that Maximus let her go replying in a quiet tone "ten years ago when me and my bro escaped our home, before that happened my dad was killed right in front of my eyes by the Red Sun."

as Maximus finished the room fell silent that you could hear a pin drop as the two sat there not knowing what to say to the other both knowing that they both suffered tragic losses, the silence was broken when Maximus stood up replying "Please, believe me when I say you did not kill her," as he climbed up to his bed

Calida called out "hey, Maximus thank you I needed to hear that."drying her tears a small smile appearing.

"You too, I needed to get out my chest." Maximus responded not looking at her and the grief he caused her. As he got on his bed all he could think about was the day his father died and that he never got to say goodbye to his mother and as he laid their lifeless. He heard Calida say one more thing before he closed his eyes,

"It's not your fault, you did not kill your father."

As he closed his eyes he felt his whole body feel more lighter and he felt as if he was soaring through the sky. As he opened his eyes his vision was better but all he saw was green, all he saw was the foamy clouds.

As he looked around he realised that his body looked weird, looking at the right he realised, that his every part of his body was filled with brown and black feathers.

"wait, what the hell happened to me wasn't I just in bed!" Maximus thought to himself finally realising what was happening.

"How, am I flying and how come... I can't control anything I do." Maximus continued to think to himself, but while he was thinking he saw a blinding flash go off right in front of him. Before he could process what that was, he was suddenly flying straight down like a meteorite. As he felt the body twist turn around as it descended from the sky, he felt as if his soul was going to be ripped out of this new body.

But as soon as he closed his eyes ready for impact, nothing happened and as he opened his eyes he saw himself flying through some familiar buildings.

"Okay this has to be a dream and any minute now Calida is going to hit me on the head and call me an idiot for over sleeping." Maximus thought as the body started to land in an old rundown building, as the body turned looking for something Maximus realised where he was.

"Alpha, the Anorak is back where did you want me to send it." a voice said, creeping out of the darkness was a five foot woman with long lushes black hair. She also wore a wolf head as a mask and the same patterned armour as Maximum did.

"Send it to the North west station, where the main battle is we have new detail, my son he's still alive."

another voice commanded the woman, she also wore the same clothing just with red mark.As Maximus looked closer he was gobsmacked and with tears dripping from his face he yelled out "M...Mo..mother!"

As he said he sat up from the bed he was dripping with sweat and tears as he looked around his whole body was shaking from what he saw. With a teary smile he quietly spoke out, as to not wake up everyone else saying "You're... alive ... my mum's alive."
