Chapter Thirty -Nine

" Okay, thanks boss!" She said happily bowing like an idiot.

" Stop that, it's so embarrassing....." He smirked.

" Did you just smiled ?"

" I didn't!"

" Oh! I thought you smiled at me. I could have say, I never see you smile at me except to Sharon." She said with thorns in her voice.

" So let me find a topic to gist about."

" Okay. Tell me about your ex?" She claps her hands excitedly.

" My personal life shouldn't be the first topic of the day." He replied curtly.

" Okay! Am sorry."

" You tell me about your ex."

Charlotte looked at him in Surprise, she can't believe he is asking her about her past failed relationship, when he asked her not to make his the topic of the day.

" No response, then let forget about it and maintain silence." He said annoyed by the way she look at him.

" No! No! I was going to tell you everything, but I was Just taking my time. Am sorry." She pleaded trying to touch his hands but he gave her a cold gaze and she immediately redraw her hands.

" Then speak!" He said with a commanding tone. The dark aura that surrounds him never left him whenever he was with Charlotte, it was like he was always trying to suppress the feelings he have towards her

" Well, the last time I had a serious lead in a relationship was last winter. We were not like really in love with each other, it was like a one sided love. He wanted to play and toy with me but I wanted the real relationship. So our relationship didn't work out and we broke up." She explained her long story in a short way.

" No one is ready for something serious with you." He insulted her and she felt that a heavy weight was returned back to her.

' He is right no one want to have any thing to do with me but with Sharon it's always different'

" So when did you break up?"

" Last winter, we had just a month relationship."

" Oh sorry about that. That isn't called a relationship, it's called flirting. The both of you flirted for a month."

" Anything you call it." She said sadly.

" Don't be a sadist. I also had a relationship last May, but we broke up early August, due to lack of understanding."

" it could be because you never got over your crush."

" Which crush?"

" Sharon. It could be because you never let go of her that is why you never understand the other lady." Charlotte blurt out plainly trying to make him have a taste of his own medicine.

" Are you alright at all? Do you mean am into Sharon or what?" He asked coldly.

" Did I say that? Am sorry boss." She bow her head meekly, noticing the effects of her words on him.

" Listen up! Am not in love with Sharon and I don't have a crush on her. I might before,that was doing college days but not anymore. Have moved on, got that?" He asked her anxiously and she replied with a smile.
