"…and who is it that you'd like me to kill?" Cain asked, his eyes much colder than before as he focused them on Eldric, who immediately responded with a vastly annoyed expression on his face.
"Who else but Lord Grainger!" he responded with a nasty look on his face, like he smelled something disgusting that he needed to distance himself from.
"He is a thorn in my—"
"Yes! He opposes every word you say and fights against you on every proposal in the council. Why do you want me to kill him?" Cain asked again, ignoring the murderous look Eldric sent his way after he interrupted him without allowing him to finish.
"What changed?" Cain asked with mild curiosity, even though he already knew the answer Eldric was going to give—one that he wasn't going to like.
"He's been trying to gather more lords towards me to openly oppose the proposal I passed for a king to be elected!"
