Lorna Dane was about to leave when she suddenly turned back to Indra and asked, "Do you know where he is?"
Indra slung the black bag containing the scepter over his shoulder and casually replied, "Although Tony Stark mentioned Mandarin's location near the border of country, he could also be at the broadcasting building in New York, it's uncertain."
"After all, he's an actor," he added.
Before Indra could finish, Lorna Dane firmly declared, "Then we'll go to the TV station to find him!"
She grabbed Indra's hand, but as they opened the door, they found a stranger standing outside.
"Who are you?" Lorna Dane asked, her expression serious.
Although Lorna Dane didn't know him, Indra did, judging by his attire as a member of the Shield Agency.
"I'm Angus, from the Shield Agency," the man introduced himself to Indra.
As Angus addressed him, he informed Indra, "Mandarin is currently located at the broadcasting building in New York."
Indra frowned, his expression displeased as he asked, "How many hostages are trapped there?"
Angus, somewhat smugly, replied, "In fact, we've been closely monitoring various locations in New York City. When we discovered Mandarin, we had already secretly evacuated the ordinary civilians from the building. Now, it's just Mandarin and his henchmen inside."
"Captain Hill and Captain Barton have already led the Shield agents there and surrounded him. We've also placed various weapons inside the broadcasting building," Angus added.
"If he resists, we'll bombard him at any cost."
Indra scoffed and asked, "Then why come to me?"
Angus smiled and explained, "After all, this mission was assigned to you by President."
Indra looked at Angus, unimpressed, and asked, "If it was assigned to me, why is the Shield Agency getting involved?"
Angus chuckled and said, "In fact, Mandarin isn't that easy to deal with. We're intervening to ensure he doesn't escape. Although you did tell the president that you could handle it alone, Mandarin isn't an ordinary person. If he escapes, it'll be troublesome."
Indra mocked, "You've done so much secretly before this and now you're telling me Mandarin is surrounded by you?"
"So you want me to come and see how the Shield Agency captures people?"
"I'm sorry, but I won't go."
With a helpless expression, Angus reported to his earpiece, "Inform Captain Barton, he's unwilling to participate in the fight."
As Angus left, Lorna Dane expressed her annoyance, "I really dislike that guy."
Indra frowned, about to speak, when suddenly his phone rang.
The caller was an unfamiliar number.
This piqued Indra's curiosity since very few people knew his number after he bought the phone.
"It's Tony," Tony Stark's voice rang in Indra's ear as soon as he answered the call.
"How did you get my number?" Indra asked.
Before he could finish, urgent voices came from the other end of the line.
"That's not important; after all, there's not much I don't know. There's something I must tell you."
"Annabelle has been kidnapped, I just found out."
"It was earlier this morning, Hapi informed me."
"The kidnapper's identity is unknown. If you need information, you can contact Hapi; I've sent him to your place."
"You know the boss instructed me to send someone to deliver medicine to Annabelle. Although I originally didn't want to agree to it, seeing as it's your request, I did."
"At this moment, you should feel honored."
"Fuck!" A curse came through the phone, followed by the sound of something crashing.
"I'm busy now, gotta go."
With that, Tony Stark hung up.
Indra was surprised.
Annabelle kidnapped?
She's just a little girl, who would kidnap her?
And Mandarin was controlled by the Shield Agency so quickly?
Lorna Dane looked at Indra with a furrowed brow, asking worriedly, "What's wrong? Are you in trouble?"
Indra shook his head and said, "It's not trouble, I just need to go save Annabelle."
Lorna Dane's expression shifted slightly, as she tentatively asked, "Who's Annabelle? Your girlfriend?"
Indra shook his head, resignedly saying, "She's just a little girl."
Lorna Dane smirked, the displeasure fading from her face.
