Hulk, Run!

*Bang! Bang!*

*Roar!*

"Hulk!"

The battlefield was bloody and intense. Although Hulk was restrained, the G-Product could not land a fatal blow.

It could at most scratch his skin, but that too would quickly heal. After all, aside from his immense strength, Hulk's regenerative ability was also extraordinary.

In the distance, Elizabeth, under the control of soldiers, looked at Hulk with a worried expression.

"Father, please, spare him. He's innocent."

General Ross, hearing his daughter's plea, didn't even turn around, "Hmph, he was my creation. He belongs to America. I must reclaim him."

"You only see him as a weapon!"

Hearing his daughter's sharp accusation, General Ross ignored her completely.

"Where are the attack helicopters? Why aren't they here yet?"

"General, there's a storm approaching. The helicopters are delayed and will take a while to arrive."

Looking up, Ross noticed the sky had indeed darkened, and faint flashes of lightning flickered in the clouds.

"Tell them to hurry!"

As the battle continued, Hulk grew angrier, and his power increased.

Soon, the G-Products, which had previously been defending well, began to falter, retreating in the face of Hulk's overwhelming force.

"Hulk!"

Seizing the opportunity, Hulk grabbed a flying G-Product and tore it into pieces with a single powerful motion. Dark, thick blood splattered all over him, making him look like a devil from hell, striking fear into those who saw him.

Some soldiers, unable to bear it, dropped their weapons and began retreating.

But unlike the soldiers, the G-Products, devoid of any sense of fear, continued to attack. However, facing Hulk, who was growing stronger, they were quickly overwhelmed.

Suddenly, the sound of helicopters filled the air as three attack helicopters appeared in the sky.

Seeing the reinforcements, General Ross immediately gave the order to open fire.

The Vulcan cannons on the helicopters began to rain down fire. However, in the hail of bullets, even the G-Products were hit.

Unlike Hulk, who had superior defense, the G-Products were quickly incapacitated, screaming in pain before retreating.

Now free from the G-Products' restraint, Hulk began to run, trying to avoid the attacks from the helicopters.

Seeing this, General Ross became furious.

"Fire the rockets!"

"Roger that!"

The next moment, a barrage of rockets shot toward Hulk like falling stars.

*Boom! Boom! Boom!*

A series of explosions engulfed Hulk in flames.

"No! Banner!"

Elizabeth screamed in anguish as she saw the explosions consume Hulk.

But in the next moment, a green figure leapt from the flames, landing on one of the helicopters.

"Hulk!"

With a roar, Hulk tore the helicopter apart, sending it crashing to the ground in a fiery explosion.

The remaining two helicopters, seeing the fate of their companion, quickly ascended, trying to stay out of Hulk's reach.

Meanwhile, thunder and lightning rumbled in the sky, and heavy rain began to fall.

Hulk, back on the ground, wiped the rain from his face and turned to look at Elizabeth in the distance. He saw the worry in her eyes and the silent plea for him to leave.

With one last look at Elizabeth, Hulk turned and leaped away, disappearing into the storm.

"Follow him!" General Ross shouted, ordering the helicopters to pursue.

However, with the worsening storm and poor visibility, the helicopters could only follow from a distance for a short while before they had to give up.

Frustrated, General Ross clenched his fists but had no choice.

Looking at the battered G-Products, he pulled out his phone after some thought.

"Umbrella? I need your strongest product!"

....

Nighttime~

The S.H.I.E.L.D. helicarrier arrived near the ruins of Baru Village, close to the Herat city in the Middle East.

S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, upon landing, immediately began searching for clues.

However, after searching until noon the next day, they found nothing.

The cellar that Sam had discovered had been burned to ashes and buried under a mound of dirt. When they dug it up, there was nothing left.

This meant that despite the heavy losses, the mission was a failure. Nick Fury stood in the ruins, his face dark, as he surveyed the area.

Sam cautiously approached him, "Director, perhaps we could use this landscape( affected area) as leverage."

Fury shot Sam a glance but remained silent.

What Fury needed was solid evidence linking Umbrella to the zombie virus, not some affected area from three years ago.

At best, this landscape could prove there had been a massacre, but they wouldn't be enough to bring down Umbrella.

Seeing that Fury wasn't responding, Sam awkwardly scratched his head and left.

Moments later, Deputy Director Maria Hill walked over, "Director, Charles says they're clean."

"Then who leaked the intel?"

Sam and his team's mission to find Baru Village had been classified as level nine, a top-secret operation.

Only those with clearance level nine or above and the field agents knew about it.

Upon realizing that the enemy had set an ambush, Fury had immediately ordered Charles to use his telepathic abilities to probe Logan and Victor.

After all, only three people had survived. Sam had been with Fury for over a decade and was unlikely to betray him, so the suspicion fell on Logan and Victor, who had only recently joined.

However, Charles' investigation turned up nothing suspicious.

Could it have been a level nine operative? As Fury pondered, a middle-aged white man approached.

"Fury, what exactly are we looking for here?"

Fury looked up at the man.

He stood about 5'8", with an average build, short blond hair, and bright blue eyes.

It was Alexander Pierce, former director of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Seeing him, Fury briefly entertained a suspicion but quickly dismissed it. Pierce was the former director—there was no way he could be involved in betrayal.

"I got intel suggesting that a zombie virus was active here three years ago. Sam found traces of it but fell into an ambush, and we lost a lot of men."

A sharp glint flashed in Alexander's eyes, but his face showed only sadness.

"Oh, what a tragedy. I hope you find the culprits soon. So, you think there might be traces of the original zombie virus here?"

"There's a good chance. But the enemy was cunning—they erased all evidence."

"So, why did you come to see me?"

"Oh, right. The Security Council wants to speak with you about the explosion in Cairo."

"What's going on there?"

"Not sure. Seems like a cult appeared out of nowhere. They want to consult with you."

"Got it."
