Arc 1: Character Creation

[Excellent! Now you may begin your Character Creation.] Then the screen interface was replaced by a gold and white coloured spinning prize wheel similar to those in the family game shows. Each section of the wheel had a name of a world which were ever-changing.

It was Interstellar one moment and Breaking Bad the next...

[This Wheel will decide your [World Setting], You will begin this Character Creation at 0 Points and you can earn [Points] according to the [Difficulty] of the world]

[For Example, A Slice-Of-Life world will give you 0 Points, while a mid tier world like Naruto or MCU will give you 5-6 Points. Likewise a Death World like Bloodborne or Dark Souls will give you anywhere from 8-10 Points.]

[You can also earn [Points] by taking some [Complications].]

[Note that no matter how hard a world is, you can never get more than 10 points.]

[Also Note, that you can only roll the Wheel for a category only once.] Finished the robotic and monotone voice of Mr. Screen.

Not gonna lie, when he said my fate rested on a spinning wheel my heart(?) skipped a beat.

Can you imagine going into Dark Souls just cause of a fricking prize wheel?

*Shivers*

Yeah, better not jinx it...

But I calmed down as I continued to listen as he explained the [Point] system.

It was... surprisingly fair...

I guess my view of ROBs were ruined after reading so many fanfics and novels.

[Done Monologuing, You Weirdo?] He asked in the most dry tone I've heard ever.

"Says the non-physical entity who only speaks in a robotic monotone voice." I snarked back with a tick mark on my forehead(?).

[Hey! Don't go over my voice dude! I'll have you know that I have the manliest voice among my siblings.] He said in an almost boastful manner.

"Yeah, yeah. Sure." I waved my hand(?) dismissively. "So when can I start?"

Mr. Screen grumbled incoherently but answered with a quick [You can start now.]

"Alright." I replied as I reached out towards the roulette wheel.

And as I grabbed it with my hands, ready to spin, I was suddenly hit by a wave of nervousness.

But I squashed it for the time being. I had chosen this for myself, I was not going to go back on it.

I had enough self-respect to stand by my decisions even if come I regret it in the future.

So I used as much strength that I could and spun the wheel...

It kept going on, and on and on and on...

And on and on and on and on~

Y'know? Like that popular song?

Anyways,

As the wheel kept spinning, I was able to read some world's come and go, and come back again.

But after some time it finally stopped on...

[AU Marvel Cinematic Universe (without T.V.A) (+6pts)]

...

Phew... I was worrying about nothing!

No seriously, MCU is pretty tame when compared to some of the other 'Death Worlds'.

If it was the comic version then I would be sweating but it's just the cinematic version.

I could survive there without any cheats just by learning fricking Magic!

Not to mention the other OP but easy to acquire items that the MCU has in it's early phases.

And without T.V.A, it would almost be child's play.

Learn Magic, Collect Infinity Stones, And One-Shot Thanos.

Pfft! Too Easy!

Sure the AU could provide some interest but at most there would be mutants or crossover with the comics or some other franchise.

It's almost too predictable nowadays.

[Over-Confidence much?] He said in a "I-Know-Something-You-Don't" sly tone.

"What are you not telling me?" I suspiciously asked with narrowed eyes.

[Huhuhuhuhu.] Was the only answer I got.

After he replied with the same laughter for the upteenth time, I decided to drop the matter.

[You will now spin for the Time Of Your Arrival]

I just nodded before once again spinning the wheel, which had names of years on it rather than names of universes/worlds now.

Finally it stopped on [Age Of Ultron, 2015]

...This wasn't bad per say, but it definitely could have been better.

Firstly, this shortens my preparation time massively. Not to mention the free opportunity of easily becoming an Avenger by helping in the New York Chitauri Invasion.

Secondly, now I only had a few years before Thanos eventually began his crusade for the Infinity Stones and subsequently wipes off 50% of all living beings.

Of course, there was the 50% chance of surviving the Snap but I would rather not leave the fate of my life on chance if I could help it.

So yeah, Plan: One-Shot-Thanos was still intact.

I had to plan accordingly especially with the fact in mind that 'no plan survives the first encounter'.

No pressure...

And Done!

I chose Age Of Ultron as a starting point cause I wanted to extend this fic past the Infinity Saga and didn't want to waste time on stuff that didn't need change in the first place, and it has become a cliche to isekai in phase 1 with saving Iron Man then becoming an Avenger, blah blah blah blah.

Overused.

So I decided to start from Age Of Ultron, before Doctor Strange and before everything that came in Phase 3 (sans GOTG Vol.2 cause it took place in 2014, just some months after Vol.1).

As for the AU? It is mainly there to insure that if I write something and then Marvel changes it in the movies I will be able to justify that this was an AU (also so I could include the Fantastic Four my way, cause I didn't how they were going to do it).

Anyways, Please leave some good reviews! They motivate me to write a chapter much quicker!
