<Alaric William Aurelius's POV>

I am currently roaming the streets of New York, lost in thoughts about the new world with excitement because of the sheer amount of things I can do in this world. It has always been my dream to enter a different world. After some time, I decided to head home because who knows when the hunters for mutants will come in search of me.

The previous host didn't have a home to live in but lived in an abandoned house in New York. There were many, but they were preoccupied with goons or the homeless. However, the previous host had managed to find an unoccupied abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of New York—not too far, nor too close. I was happy because at least I didn't have to sleep on the street.

So, I decided to visit the warehouse. It was nice with used or barely working conditions, like a sofa with many scratches and damages but still usable, or the mini-fridge which was on its last leg but still good for an orphan kid.

As I meticulously inspecting every nook and cranny of my new abode, mapping potential entry and exit points for swift retreats in case of unforeseen danger, my gaze fell upon an unsettling sight: a viscous, otherworldly substance oozing onto the surface of my sofa.

Pulsating with an eerie luminescence, the eldritch goo-type entity seemed to beckon to me, its mesmerizing allure drawing me closer. Before I could comprehend the gravity of the situation, an inexplicable compulsion surged through me, urging me to consume the gelatinous mass.

It was as if I were under some dark enchantment, my consciousness clouded by an insatiable hunger that consumed my every thought. Succumbing to the mysterious urge, I ingested the substance without hesitation, its sickly sweetness coating my senses before plunging me into a state of unconsciousness....

.

..

...

....

"Argh... Fuck What just happened?"

I groaned, emerging from a haze of confusion as consciousness reclaimed me. Blinking away the remnants of sleep, I struggled to make sense of the sudden disruption to my rest. Then, like a bolt of lightning, the memory of the strange goo on my sofa flashed in my mind, sending a shiver down my spine.

Frantically scanning the room, I searched for any sign of the bizarre substance, but it was as if it had evaporated into thin air, leaving me questioning my sanity. What had happened? Had it all been a dream? Then-

[Ding!]

[Everything you've won from the Gacha System will be saved as a card in the System Inventory. It can only store items 'won' from the System, meaning you cannot store anything you haven't won from the system]

"Holy shit!! Hahahahahahaha!" I burst into loud laughter, unable to contain my amusement, as I watch the holographic screen in front of my eyes. After a moment, I compose myself and inwardly command,

'Status'

[Name: Alaric William Aurelius]

[Age: 18]

[Title: Reincarnated Soul, Host to the Multiversal Gacha System, Beta Level Mutant, Genius]

[Overall Power: 9-C SuperHuman]

[Assimilated Characters: None]

[Abilities: Enhanced Mind, Eidetic Memory, Regeneration{Temporary)]

[Gacha Points: 1]

[Inventory: Empty]

"Well, one mystery is solved. I am indeed a 'Mutant', to be precise, a 'Beta Level Mutant', which gives me abilities such as Enhanced Mind, Eidetic Memory, and Regeneration, the latter of which is a temporary ability, I think, probably due to reincarnation."

Now Lets Spin.....

[Please wait. Spinning Gacha...]

[Congratulations! You won a 'One-Time Makeover'.]

[One-Time Makeover: This 'item' cleans the user and their clothes, and if they are torn, it mends them.]

After realizing the necessity of using the one-time makeover item due to the lingering scent from my travels and the numerous tears in my clothing, I wasted no time in activating the card. As I pondered the method of its utilization, the card began to disintegrate in a radiant white light, enveloping me entirely. When the brilliance faded, I found myself cleansed and clad in fresh attire, my garments miraculously restored to their original condition.

Glancing into a nearby mirror within the warehouse, I observed my reflection. Standing at a height of 5 feet 11 inches, I possessed a Weak build that belied the confidence expected of someone my age. My jet-black hair was expertly styled, framing my angular face, with my eyes dark black, gleaming with playful confidence, were a deep, penetrating ebony.

I was dressed in a well-fitted t-shirt, the hue of deep navy accentuating my features, complemented by a classic pair of denim jeans that had molded comfortably to my frame over time. Draped over this ensemble was a lightweight, neutral-toned jacket, offering both style and warmth.

Completing the look were my trusty sneakers, a reliable choice for traversing the streets of the city. Despite my previous disheveled appearance, I now stood before the mirror, a picture of cleanliness and rejuvenation.
