Chapter 141: Plagiarizing the Movie

The paused video began to play again. After landing, Steve Rogers rolled and dissipated the impact force, then started running.

"Are you okay?" Steve Rogers asked.

"I'll live for now," Sam Wilson replied as he flew onto an aircraft carrier, easily taking out the enemies on board with his gun. After landing, he said, "Alright, Captain, I'm in."

But before he finished speaking, a fighter jet flew towards him, unleashing a fierce barrage of firepower.

"Oh, shit!" Sam Wilson had to spread his wings again and take flight.

Thus, a one-on-one aerial battle ensued between Sam Wilson and the fighter jet. To be honest, compared to Tony Stark's Iron Man suit, Sam Wilson's equipment was quite crude. However, his combat awareness was evidently stronger than Tony Stark's. With just a pair of wings, he performed various high-difficulty maneuvers like diving, sharp turns, and somersaults with ease.

Armed with only two small submachine guns, it was like using eggs to attack a rock when facing the heavily armed fighter jet. The jet, on the other hand, couldn't seem to take him down.

While Sam Wilson was engaging the fighter jet, Steve Rogers was progressing smoothly. He effortlessly fought his way through, successfully inserting a blade-like server into one of the aircraft carriers.

"Target 1 locked," Steve Rogers reported the situation and continued on with his shield in hand.

"Where are you, Falcon?" Maria Hill in the rear asked, looking at the computer screen.

"I'm taking a detour," Falcon replied while flying.

Meanwhile, the fighter jet in the rear, after struggling to keep up, launched more than a dozen tracking missiles all at once. Regardless of Sam Wilson's twists and turns, those missiles followed him like a perverted stalker chasing an eighteen-year-old girl, keeping up closely.

"This is bad," James Rhodes said, feeling anxious for Sam Wilson.

"It's indeed not good. These missiles are self-guided and won't stop until they hit their target," Bruce Banner added.

"This way, Falcon, I previously redesigned the weapon system of Nick Fury's Green Goblin skateboard, some of which should be compatible with these wings." Tony Stark said to Sam Wilson, "Give me the wings for a couple of days, and I'll design a weapon system for you. At least it will provide some defense and counterattack capabilities when you face situations like this."

"Thank you, Stark, but the wings don't belong to me," Sam Wilson thanked him first, then honestly said, "The wings actually belong to this country, not to me personally."

"All pilots, take off immediately," one of the pilots said. "We are Captain Rogers' only air support."

As the pilot finished speaking, a shell was fired and hit a fighter jet that had just taken off, creating thick black smoke.

Clang!

The jet crashed to the ground and burst into flames.

Amid the billowing smoke and flames, a figure slowly walked out. He had a metallic arm and held a submachine gun, emanating a murderous aura as he approached.

"This is bad!" In the answering space, Sam Wilson couldn't help but say, "The Winter Soldier's combat power is in no way inferior to the Captain's. With him joining the battle, completing the mission becomes much harder."

"Steve, do you think we can accomplish the mission in the video?" Sam Wilson asked worriedly.

"We can definitely do it," Steve Rogers replied with a firm tone.

In the video, the Winter Soldier dealt with all the supporting soldiers as if he was cutting vegetables. Finally, he piloted the fighter jet and left.

"Sam, give me a lift," little did Steve Rogers know that his good buddy was already in action and risking his life.

"I'm ready, just tell me when," Sam Wilson replied while flying.

"I'm ready!" Steve Rogers jumped off the aircraft carrier without hesitation.

Sam Wilson, who was watching this scene, immediately folded his wings and swooped down, catching Steve Rogers' arm in mid-air and pulling him onto the third aircraft carrier.

"You are heavier than you look," Sam Wilson joked as they landed.

"I had a big breakfast," Steve Rogers replied.

Before they could say anything else, the Winter Soldier suddenly rushed over and sent Steve Rogers flying, causing him to fall from the aircraft carrier.

"Steve!" Sam Wilson was greatly alarmed and spread his wings again, about to take flight, but the Winter Soldier grabbed his wings with one hand.

The Winter Soldier tossed Sam Wilson aside, throwing him away.

Bang!

The fighter jet crashed to the ground, bursting into flames.

Amidst the thick smoke and raging fire, a figure slowly emerged. He had a metallic arm and held a submachine gun, exuding a murderous aura as he walked forward.

"This is bad!" Within the answering space, Sam Wilson couldn't help but say, "The Winter Soldier's combat ability is on par with Captain's. We were already outnumbered, and with the Winter Soldier joining in, completing the mission becomes much more difficult."

"Bucky, I will definitely rescue you from Hydra's clutches," Steve Rogers clenched his fist upon seeing his dear friend.

"Captain, do you think we can complete the mission in the video?" Sam Wilson asked anxiously.

"We can, without a doubt," Steve Rogers said firmly.

In the video, the Winter Soldier effortlessly eliminated all the soldiers who went to support, and then piloted a jet to leave.

"Sam, let me hitch a ride," unaware that his good friend had also joined the fray, Steve Rogers was still fighting for his life.

"Got it, let me know when you're ready," Sam Wilson replied while flying.

"I'm ready!" Steve Rogers immediately jumped off the aircraft carrier.

Sam Wilson witnessed the scene and swooped down, grabbing Steve Rogers' arm in mid-air and pulling him onto the third carrier.

"You weigh more than you look," Sam Wilson joked as they landed.

"I must have had a heavy breakfast," Steve Rogers said.

Just then, the Winter Soldier rushed over and sent Steve Rogers flying with a powerful blow, sending him plummeting from the aircraft carrier.

"Steve!" Sam Wilson was horrified and spread his wings, ready to take flight again, but the Winter Soldier grabbed his wings with one hand.

The Winter Soldier tossed Sam Wilson aside, detaching his wing as he did so, and then kicked him off the aircraft carrier.

Fortunately, Sam Wilson opened his parachute in time while falling and was unharmed.

"Captain, respond, are you okay?" Sam Wilson, who landed on the ground, was still concerned about Steve Rogers.

"I'm here, Sam. I'm still on the aircraft carrier. Where are you?" Steve Rogers' voice came through. As it turned out, he hadn't fallen off the carrier at all. He had clung to the edge of the carrier with both hands, hanging on.

"I'm down here," Sam Wilson said helplessly, "My flight suit is damaged, Captain, sorry."

"Don't worry, I can handle it," Steve Rogers reassured him.

Meanwhile, on the aircraft carrier, the Winter Soldier looked down at Steve Rogers from a vantage point.

The space darkened, and the video ended.

"Why did it end?" Tony Stark seemed unsatisfied. "Captain and the Winter Soldier were about to have an epic battle. This must be the most thrilling action scene in the movie 'Captain America,' and it's gone!"

"'Captain America' movie?" Bruce Banner was speechless. "Stark, seriously? You're treating this future video as a movie?"

"What's wrong with that?" Tony Stark said. "Beautiful women, warriors, friendship, conspiracies. Don't you think it has all the elements of a great action film?"

"It does feel a bit like a movie," Bruce Banner nodded in agreement. "And the title 'Captain America' would be fitting. It's obvious that Captain is the main character."

"No, it shouldn't be 'Captain America.' The events before Captain went into hibernation would be enough for a movie," T'Challa said. "What we just saw was 'Captain America 2.'"

"Although it's a bit disrespectful to the future, I must admit it does feel like watching a movie," Bruce Banner added. "Recalling the plot of this 'Captain America 2'—from Nick Fury's assassination, to Captain being wanted and investigating the truth with Romanoff, to the final duel with the Winter Soldier on the aircraft carrier—the narrative is thorough and well-structured, just like a movie plot."

"Captain America has a movie, so I should have one too," Tony Stark said as he walked to the front. "Playboy, billionaire, countless lovers—ahem, let's leave that part out. Playboy, billionaire, tech genius, donning the armor to maintain peace and save the world—this is the standard Hollywood protagonist template, right?"

"It does seem like it," James Rhodes said. "And I feel like I've seen similar movies."

"If I had a movie, it would be called 'Iron Man,'" Tony Stark said. "Not just one movie, but three!"

"Stark, wake up. It's morning, stop dreaming," Thor said disdainfully. "You cannot become the main character."

"Why?" Tony Stark asked.

"Because I am here," Thor said confidently. "If there is a main character in this world, it must be me."

"Impossible, your IQ alone disqualifies you," Tony Stark said.

Thor: "..."

How can he retort when he can't find the right words!

"Hey, if we all have movies..." Tony Stark suddenly had a brainwave, "Wait, is the questioner plagiarizing movies? Taking snippets of the plot and releasing them bit by bit?"

Then, the two looked deeply into each other's eyes, about to share a passionate kiss when suddenly, a face appeared on the glass with a clank.

"James stole a jeep," Howard Stark appeared, seemingly with bad timing.

"Come on, Steve, let's go!" Bucky Barnes drove the jeep from outside the window. "And you too, Carter."

"Sometimes, I really envy the me in this parallel timeline," Steve Rogers said softly in the answering space. "I've dreamed of the life I wanted, and the scenes in the dream are just like here."

"Captain, you've spent your whole life fighting for the people, never considering yourself. You've really worked too hard," Sam Wilson said.

Sam Wilson's words were true. Steve Rogers became a super-soldier and fought against Hydra, then against SHIELD, and all the way until his last moment, his thoughts were always about the people of New York.

He was lucky to have met Peggy Carter, his lifelong love.

But at the same time, he was unfortunate because he couldn't even dance with the one he loved.

He was a truly great man, someone to be admired.

"Captain, you will have the life you want," Tony Stark said.

"Yeah," Steve Rogers said, "After I finish the upcoming battles—Loki, Ultron, Thanos, Hela..."

The video continued to play.

Peggy Carter, dressed in her star-spangled outfit, stood on a snowy mountain alongside the Howling Commandos. She looked down below and said, "The leader of Hydra is in that car."

"We can end the war?" Bucky Barnes, holding a submachine gun, said, "Yeah, I've heard that before. Smells as fresh as fish from three days ago."

"Or maybe you're just afraid of the train," Peggy Carter saw through Bucky Barnes' hesitation.

At that moment, Steve Rogers, wearing the bulky armor, flew down from the sky. He went straight to the front of the train and pushed against the locomotive, using this "foot brake" method to slow down the train.

"It's time for us to move in, starting the 'Blood on the Snowy Fortress' operation," Peggy Carter commanded, leading the Howling Commandos to the top of the train.

Everyone else made it smoothly, but Bucky Barnes slipped and fell from the top of the train.

"Thanks, you almost dislocated my arm there," Bucky Barnes said.
