Marriage Contract with a Werefox Prince

"First of all, Mr Saverio I never signed a marriage deal with you. Second, you are my boss and third, you make me cringe!" His brows raised, "Cringe, how?" "Ever since the day I met you, I knew you are the one. How does that sound? Moreover, I do not believe getting married would decrease our possibility of dying." "So you agree with me that those lines are cringe, right? I wonder what those writers were thinking when they wrote them. But I had no choice." Eva couldn't believe her ears. So her boss had to surf through the net to propose to her? Wow, she must be Alice and he must be Johnny Bravo. He clicked his tongue calling her attention before walking towards her. Eva walked backwards and he proceeded until her back hit the wall. He leaned closer, "It's a myth, it's okay if you find it hard to believe, however, aren't you quite tired of the pain you derive when I'm far away?" She swallowed. It is true, whenever he is near her, the pain disappears, however her body begins to heat up whenever he isn't nearby. They were both cursed and the only way to get through is to remain close. This sounded like a typical drama. "Fine. I will sign the deal but on one condition." A smirk came across his lips as he replied, "How many times do I have to say you already signed it?" He paused, his dark blue eyes staring into her ocean blue ones, "Meaning, there are no conditions. The only condition you need to abide is mine." ××× Eva Lee, a young woman lived a free life, however after an incident that took her father's life, she turns into a woman seeking revenge. Testing The Fake Gun

Saverio had just gotten into his office and had sat down on his seat when Leon asked him, "Boss, you went back to your office to get the fake gun?"

To say that he wasn't amused by his boss's stupid decision while he was stuck there awaiting his presence was a complete fallacy, however, the thing that annoyed him more was the fact that his boss had deliberately wanted to cause a scene in the meeting with Mr Jones.

If he went there, appearing with a gun that looked real, then they in return would have no choice but attack too, creating a conflict rather than the meeting they had initially planned to have.

Though Saverio's head was still hurting as if his forehead had been countlessly hammered by a hammer but when his side view caught hold of the airsoft revolver that Leon had dropped on the table, his eyes furrowed, wondering if actually a fake gun as that could be really painful.

He was sure that if he was a human, he would have fainted out of the pain that was boiling in his head. However, taking another glance at the table and the airsoft resolver, his gaze, despite the pain slowly softened, alerting Leon.

He called to him, "Come closer."

Leon's brows furrowed wondering what was in his boss's mind but he crouched further like he had been told to. However, his eyes slowly widened when he saw the airsoft revolver that had been used on his boss now pointing towards him, at point blank. He knew his boss was up to something but never did he think whatever he was up to was life-threatening as this.

His widened eyes didn't change nor narrow but his calm resolve also didn't falter despite the situation that he was in. He asked, "Mr Saverio, what are you about doing?"

Saverio's voice was strangely weak, "I am trying to test this on you."

"You shouldn't, sir."

"And why?"

"You are in an almost vulnerable situation and putting me in the same would render no one to help you out."

Saverio knew whatever Leon said was true. He had thought the wound on his forehead was healing but it wasn't and only worsened. Leon had to take care of him because he couldn't allow anyone else. He simply replied to him, "Are you scared of an ordinary airsoft revolver?"

No, of course.

It was just a fake gun and though it could sting when pointed at point blank but the pain wouldn't be something unbearable.

But no.

Not after he had seen what happened to his boss when he was shot at point blank. Not like he hadn't been shot at point blank with an airsoft gun even, he had been shot by a real pistol but then, he couldn't risk it.

Saverio saw his secretary hesitate and he sighed. His right hand was still holding the airsoft revolver while his other hand was stuck on his bleeding forehead. Leon wanted to do something to stop the bleeding but his boss instead of focusing on his health was doing something only God knows how important it was.

After looking at his secretary for a while, Saverio decided not to slow down anymore, instead, he fired the airsoft revolver at point-blank at Leon and Leon's eyes widened even further in shock. However, after pulling the trigger, even a slight groan did not come out from him.

Leon decreased the proximity between himself and his boss and then arranged his shirt properly. He held his palm to his forehead and fortunately, he only had a little scratch, seeing this, a line of confusion initially formed on Saverio's face before forming on Leon's.

Leon knew what his boss was thinking and he was also confused about it.

Why was the airsoft revolver so violent toward his boss but barely brought out a pang of pain from him despite the proximity being the same?

Saverio, angrily threw the airsoft revolver away and then glared at Leon, "Why were you not hurt?"

"Ah..."

"Why?" He cut him short. Annoyed that just some moment ago, he had been labelled as a weakling in front of that woman. She must have laughed her ass off knowing that an ordinary airsoft revolver was enough to cause him a huge breakage on his forehead.

It should have been different. He shouldn't have been affected by it at all.

"I have no idea, boss. I was also surprised that a mere airsoft revolver could harm you." He paused when he noticed that his boss's glare had become harder. "Before anything, let me ensure that your bleeding stops."
