Maria was speechless only but for a moment. She accessed the question critically in her mind and took a moment to process it. She knew that she did not hate Vincenzo as much as she liked to say. 

However, he did not know that, and she would like to continue that way. 

"You are your parent's son. You are a Santoro. It is inherent for a Caruso to hate a Santoro. Asides from that, you're not a good man Vincenzo. You're not capable of being good," she said with a finality note, but he still pushed.

"I've never claimed to be good. I only ever do whatever I feel is right. Isn't it a little hypocritical to call me bad when you're the one that has done all the evil to me?" he said, and she lost it. 

Vincenzo has his audacity. Yes, she may have ordered for his prototype to be stolen. Yes, she had also gone after his company, but he took her brother, and now he wanted to claim righteousness?
