Trick 173: Teaching Magic... For Free?!

The next morning

Ace woke up to his ringtone 'Whatever you want~ Girl you got it~ And whatever you need, I don't wanna see you without it~' Sharon shifted on him, gripping his shoulder as she rested her head on the other one, snorting gently.

Ace squinted and slapped the nightstand a few times, before bringing the phone to his ear, answering "Mm." Tony's voice came out, "Hey buddy, time for school!" Ace groaned, "What is it…"

Tony asked "Long night?" Ace yawned and replied "Did you call for small talk? I'm with my wife, what do you think?" Tony fell silent for a few moments before saying "Go figure! Someone convinced me to take a job and now I only get 'long nights' a few times a week…"

Ace closed his eyes and chuckled softly as Tony clicked his tongue, "Anyway! I have a job for you… Oh shit. Wait, rewind! Your mission, should you choose to accept it-" Ace groaned and stopped him, "It's early! Can we quote Mission Impossible later?"

Tony replied "Not really! A monster appeared in London last night." Ace sighed "Just a monster?" Tony chuckled and asked "Would I call you of all people if it was only a monster? No. The funny thing is, witness reports are strange."

Ace hummed and Tony went on, "I got… A kid making illusions, a guy flying with lasers coming out of his eyes, and a girl that turned a bus into flower petals." Ace opened one eye, asking "Turning a Bus into Flower petals?"

Tony looked at the video saying "I'm the witness. Believe me now? I'm sending you the video. The three's whereabouts are a mystery at the moment, but we have faces and identities, whether they're real or not is giving me a headache… Can you take over? I'm busy with these damn Skrulls, they want Skrull rights, can you believe it?"

Ace replied "Really, I can't. What do they need rights for?" as he watched the video with one eye, seeing a woman turning a bus into flower petals from a street camera. He looked at the monster and tilted his head slightly, asking "What the hell is that?"

Tony chuckled and replied "That's the thing. I have no clue! I've literally never seen that thing before in my life. You heard about the earthquakes, right? Some tinfoil hats are saying that they're demons. Came out of the earth like carrots."

Ace zoomed in on the creature, replying "I've never seen a demon like that… Aliens?" Tony replied "Nothing touched down or even passed through Earth's Atmosphere." Ace frowned, "You think-" Tony clapped and cut him off, "Yep!"

Ace groaned and said "But I don't wanna fight ancient aliens! My hot wife is laying on me!" Tony rolled his eyes and replied "Good! I hope she even starts tempting you so it's worse when you leave! Bastard! But seriously though, look into it?"

Ace closed his eye and nodded, "Mhm. I'll go find the peeps… Doesn't that guy remind you of Superman?" Tony paused for a moment before saying "Hey! He does! Hopefully he doesn't kill you."

Ace's lips twitched and he said "Thanks Tony…" Tony chuckled "Anytime, Gandalf! Goodluck!" before hanging up.

Ace snorted gently and his hand fell on the pillow behind him. He stared at the ceiling for a few minutes before tossing his phone to the bedside table and hugging Sharon, smiling "Mmm… Later~"

A while later

Ace yawned as he appeared in Kamar-Taj, he scratched his neck and walked in the courtyard, holding a coffee.

He stopped and sipped his coffee watching as Hermione taught a group of new recruits. She stopped and turned her head, her eyes lighting up, "Master!" before waving at the group and adding "Keep practicing everyone."

She ran over and hugged Ace, who smiled gently, rubbing her back saying "How are you, little one?" Hermione looked up at him and pouted "Alright. You didn't come see me after Thanos' army!"

Ace's lips twitched and he replied "I was a bit busy… I got you a gift!" as he presented her with a new white cloak. Hermione hugged the cloak and looked at him in amusement, Ace scratched his head and chuckled awkwardly, saying "Sorry, little one…"

Hermione pursed her lips, rolling her eyes as she asked "Have you come to see me, or?" Ace sat down on a chair that appeared, smiling "Oh course to see you, tell me everything." Hermione sat next to him happily, telling him everything that happened.

Turns out she wasn't snapped!

But Harry and the others were.

She had to manage Kamar-Taj affairs AND Wizarding World affairs at the same time, however Wong took care of most of the problems, she was only helping him out in a few things.

Hermione explained that she actually hadn't seen Sharon for the whole time. She even went to the house and saw it in ruins before panicking, looking around the world for her! She still hadn't found her to this day!

Ace informed her that he found Sharon and Hermione relaxed, smiling as she went on to say that she was in line for the next Sorcerer Supreme, although Wong was taking over at the moment, doing his tests.

Ace nodded and listened with a gentle smile as Hermione told him all of her problems and worries, as well as her feats and victories!

Apparently, she had been traveling! Not just around the world, but into different Universes!

Hermione's confusion was that it was very rare for Hogwarts to be a thing in other universes, but the ones that she DID find were unbelievable. Grindelwald, Magical Beasts she had never seen before, even a world where the entire world was wizards!

She even showed Ace another Elder Wand!

Ace was stunned silly and stared at Hermione for a while before sighing sadly "You've really grown up." Hermione froze and looked at him, smiling softly "I know." Ace stroked her hair and smiled gently, "It's good. I don't have to worry about you anymore. You can have your own adventures now, little one. I'm proud of you."

Hermione teared up and nodded with a smile, hugging Ace tightly. He smiled warmly and hugged her close, kissing her head as he whispered "You can come talk to me whenever you want, Hermione. I'm always here for you, you know that."

She nodded and hummed quietly before Ace patted her back, smiling "Now, I think you have a class to teach, yeah?" she separated from him and wiped her eyes, nodding before asking "Can you teach for a bit?"

As her eyes sparkled, looking at him. Ace pursed his lips in amusement before replying "Sure."

Hermione dragged him to the front of the class, saying "Everyone, this is my Master. He taught me everything, and I managed to get him to teach you a little bit, however what you learn is dependant on what you can understand."

Everyone looked over at Ace and nodded, focusing.

Ace waved and said "Hello, everyone. I'm Ace, though I don't know how many of you know me… Anyway! What have they been learning?" Hermione looked at him and replied "Basic Spellcasting."

Ace nodded and turned to the group saying, "Alright, how about everyone create a basic shield for me." he pressed his hand out and a golden mandala shield appeared as he added, "Nothing fancy, just one like this."

The group tried, some succeeded and some failed.

Ace clapped and smiled, "Very good." before pointing at a few people saying "The reason why you are unable to cast it is because you're channeling your mana too slowly in the wrong direction."

He snapped his fingers and showed them a mana circuit diagram, explaining "These are your mana pathways…"

A while later

Ace watched as everyone managed to create a basic mandala shield and the crowd was much bigger. He clapped and smiled "Very well done. This route will allow you to cast the shield at a much faster rate. When you're experienced enough, you will be able to instantly cast multiple shields to protect yourself."

He tapped in the air lightly as millions of shields appeared all around him, everywhere in the sky! He looked up and snapped his fingers as the shields came together into a roaring tiger, "Magic, or the Mystic Arts, is endless. No matter how insignificant a piece of magic may be, it will without a doubt be another tool in your repertoire of spells for any situation."

He clapped his hands and smiled at everyone, "I'm here now, so in a few days, there may be additions to the Library. I will be adding entire sections on all sorts of different topics and avenues from magic I've learned in my life. Thank you, everyone and good job!"

The Sorcerers all around him clapped and smiled happily, whispering to each other.

Hermione sighed on the side, writing in a little notebook as she said "You can still teach me things, Master." Ace rubbed her head and smiled gently, "Of course, I always have another trick up my sleeve, little one." before pulling out a necklace from behind her ear, saying "What's that doing there??"

Hermione held the necklace and smiled happily, Ace winked and pinched her cheek before Stephen and Wong walked over.

Stephen chuckled "Inspiring, Master Brand." Ace rolled his eyes and replied "I could even teach you, Strange." Strange curled his lips and replied "I doubt it." Wong waved at them, saying "Come to visit?"

Ace nodded and said "Yeah! Well, I need a favor so…" Strange held out his hand and Wong clicked his tongue putting 10$ in Stephen's hand. Ace's lips twitched and he asked "Predictable?"

Strange chuckled and pocketed the 10$, saying "You? No. This is called Divination!" Ace rolled his eyes and walked away with Wong and Strange, muttering "Divination my ass." as he nudged Wong, asking "And you have to be with him all day?"

Wong sighed, "It's a tough life." Strange's lips twitched and Hermione said "See you, Master!" Ace turned his head, smiling at her as he said "Come visit me some time, yeah?" Hermione nodded with a sweet smile on her face as Ace smiled happily, entering a building.
