Trick 149: Lucifer & Friends

Ace sighed, putting his hand down, groaning "Still?!" Hela shushed him and looked up, Death ignored him and went on, "I agreed to let those of you who were left, return to life. You may leave if you wish. However, you would be missing out on becoming a Hell Lord forever."

Nearly half the people left instantly, disappearing.

Death didn't say anything and let them leave, as far as she was concerned, these people would only bring more death for her. She was the personification of Death, not a saint…

The Saint looked around and said "Half left? Wow." Hela looked at him and frowned, "What did you expect, half of these fools were nearly killed by you just now." Ace raised a finger, correcting "Eliminated." Hela waved her hand and said "Whatever!"

Death was indifferent, saying "Hm. I suppose the game must continue. From this moment on, if you die, you will permanently become a servant of Death." Lucifer stood up and said "My lovely lady, if I may?"

Death looked at him and he smiled, "Might I suggest allowing us Hell Lords to choose amongst the losers for our own Realms?" Death looked at him in silence for a moment before nodding gently, "This is acceptable. Very well. Should a standing Hell Lord take a fancy to you, you shall become part of their realm."

Lucifer looked at Ace and gave him a thumbs up, winking. Ace's mouth twitched and he chuckled "This guy…" Hela shook her head, saying "The lazy fool." before whispering "I think you should be careful." Ace was stunned, looking up at her from the ground, "Huh? Why?"

Hela glared at him, asking "Do you trust everyone you meet?!" Ace frowned "No. But it's Lucifer, we're friends." Hela snorted "And if he was tricking you?" Ace pfft'd, replying "Why would he do that? That guy only likes to party."

Hela chuckled and retorted "I wonder about that. You should realize that he is one of the highest ranking Hell Lords under Mephisto. He is far from being a party going idiot. You don't just make it as a Hell Lord with power. It took me a long time to rise to where I am today, with Odin's help mind you."

Ace frowned and snorted "Regardless, even IF he was plotting against me. It won't matter." Hela rolled her eyes and said "Yes, yes. With me here, we will make Hell Lord guaranteed." Ace looked up and grinned "Hell Lord? No, no… We're going to be the Champions!"

Hela froze and shouted "Are you crazy?!" Ace stood up and dusted himself off, saying "Maybe! I forgot! Hahaha! We are going to win everything!"

The other contestants looked at him and chuckled, some of them grinning maliciously, while others were silent, even ignoring him.

Death went on, "There were 4,278,916 of you, only 2,139,458 are left. You will be fighting in your teams against another team." Hela muttered "So only 534,864 will be left after the first round. Hmm."

Ace counted with his fingers and asked "How many rounds is that?" Hela rolled her eyes, saying "20 rounds." Ace groaned "Oh my god! So many?!" she shushed him and Death said plainly, "There will be a 1 year break after every round. Begin."

Ace looked around quickly, holding his staff as he said "Where are they!? I need a break!" Hela rolled her eyes and looked around as they teleported to a smaller stage.

Ace looked over at the two alien creatures, saying "Okay, what's the plan." Hela picked Ace up and tossed him out of the way as a pillar of flames exploded under him, "Kill them, obviously."

Ace rolled on the ground and got up, saying "Eliminate." as he waved his staff while Hela charged at them, holding onto black thorns. He flew into the air as a blast of black flames flew at him.

He looked over to see an alien saying something to him, holding out his hands.

Ace frowned, muttering "I don't speak alien." Hela shouted "Focus!" as she clashed with the other alien's axes.

Ace waved his staff again and Hela's swords burst into flames, she grinned at the alien, slashing wildly.

Ace dodged the blast, looking at the alien, saying "You're annoying." as he swung his staff vertically. A blade of dark purple smoke shot towards the alien, cutting up the stage.

The alien revealed 4 arms and had blue skin with orange spots and extremely large glassy red orb-like eyes.

It conjured a blue shield and the blade bounced back, shooting at Ace, who frowned, waving his hand.

The Alien turned behind him as the blade went through a portal, appearing in front of him instantly.

He split himself in two and dodged the blade, making strange noises. Ace frowned and clenched a fist, punching down.

The void ripped open and a massive creature with sharp fangs, massive horns, covered in yellow hair appeared, punching down on the alien, crushing one of them.

Ace waved his fists as the alien put up a shield, but it was smashed to bits as Ace grabbed at the air, the monster grabbing the alien before crushing it to a bloody pulp.

Ace let go and said "Ew!" shaking his hand as the monster disappeared into a puff of purple smoke.

Hela was sitting on a pile of meat, licking the blood from the corner of her lips, asking "Done?" Ace floated back down, saying "You're disgusting, honestly." Hela sneered, "Problem is; I don't care what you think."

Ace clicked his tongue and shook his head, commenting "You won't find a husband like this." before mimicking her accent, "How uncouth, vile heathen~! Ptui!" Hela glared at him and said "I will kill you! I promise!"

Ace turned his staff to vambraces, waving his hands as he replied "Oh no! Shiver me timbers!" Hela stomped her foot and disappeared from the arena as Ace chuckled, disappearing right after her.

He came to the wasteland as Vanessa fell on him from the sky, "You did it!" latching onto him like an octopus, adding "I knew it!" Ace smiled happily and said "Did you now?"

Lucifer appeared with his lieutenants, hugging Ace as he laughed "Awesome, bro! I put a lot of souls on you! You have to win!" Ace smiled warmly as Beelzebub, slapped his shoulder, saying "But also! You should use more flies. Or locusts! Locusts are cool too!"

Asmodeus sneered, "Oh yeah? Are they? Idiot." Beelzebub looked at him saying "Oh? Az, you got something to say?! How was that demoness yesterday? Did you enjoy her rotting flesh?"

Asmodeus exploded in rage "IT WAS YOU! I should kill you!" as he punched Beelzebub, grappling him on the ground. Leviathan patted Ace's shoulder, saying "Good job… I wish I was fighting for Hell Lord!" he sighed, "I want to be a Hell Lord so bad! I wish I was one! How great would that be!?"

Ace patted his hand, saying "Alright, Levi… We talked about this… No you can't have my spot…" Leviathan sighed again, saying "Good fight, Ace… Maybe next time." as he sighed again on the side.

Mammon nodded at Ace, saying "Not too bad, I bet everything I own on you. You better win or I will take your soul for myself." Ace's lips twitched and Lucifer pushed them all out of the way, peeling Vanessa off of Ace, throwing her behind him as he grinned "How do you think your chances are? If you were with me, I guarantee first place! Hela… Not so much."

Hela walked over, snorting "What was that?" Lucifer chuckled and waved, "Nothing, sweetheart~" before whispering to Ace, "If you wanna switch her out, let me know." as he winked.

Hela sneered, pulling Ace away from him as Ace asked "Where's Satan? I'm not even gonna ask about Belphegor.." Lucifer scratched his head and chuckled "Satan… He got kicked out!"

Ace was stunned and Lucifer cleared his throat explaining "Well, you see… um…" Mammon said "He wanted to bet some souls, but the pay out was too low and he beat up the Servant. Then-" Lucifer grabbed his face and said "I WAS TALKING!" before throwing Mammon out, taking over with a happy smile, "Yeah! Then, 215 more Servants came and he beat them all really badly. They complained to the lovely lady at the top, but she only locked him in my Realm for 8000 years because I asked her for less."

Ace's lips twitched and Hela rolled her eyes, Lucifer smiled and added "Anyway! Belphegor… he's sleeping… He said he wanted to come but then he fell asleep so maybe in a few years he'll be here."

Ace replied slowly "Right… I don't think so." Lucifer laughed "Me neither! Hahaha! Wanna party?" Hela said "He's busy." Lucifer shouted "I WAS TALKING TO HIM!" before coughing "Sorry! Haha~ Let me know when you're not busy! Great job today!"

High fiving Ace before leaving, humming to himself happily.

Ace looked at Hela and said "See? He's a funny guy!" Hela snorted "Too Prideful. I don't like him." Ace rolled his eyes, retorting "Ironic…"

Yao appeared with Peggy and Thanos, walking over as they chatted.
