Trick 125: Bucky sure can run!

As they walked back, they ran into Steve!

He saw the ring and said "Oh congrats." Sharon smiled and said "Thank you." however as they were talking, Sam came over, saying "You're gonna wanna see this."

A few minutes later

They were all in Sharon's hotel room. Ace was sitting on the couch, holding his hands as he watched the news report of the bombing at the UN meeting. Sam held his chin, looking at Steve saying "We need to get there. You know where everyone else is?"

Steve frowned, "I know Romanoff is there. The rest… No idea. Probably waiting for us." as he saw the suspect identified as James Bucchanan Barnes. Same turned to him and asked "What about the Wizard? Where is he at?"

Steve looked at him and replied "I don't know. I'll contact him." Sam sighed and turned to the TV, saying "Hope so. This doesn't look good, Steve." Ace was sitting on the couch in between them as Sharon walked up behind him, saying "I gotta go to work."

Ace looked at her and she looked at him, smiling "See you later, Mike." Ace nodded and said "See you. I'll handle Aunt Peggy's affairs, don't worry about it." she smiled and nodded before leaving.

Sam looked at Steve saying "We gotta go too." Steve nodded and turned to Ace, saying "Sorry about your aunt, kid." Ace nodded with a hard to look at face, replying "Thank you, Captain." Steve patted Ace's shoulders and Sam nodded at Ace, saying "Condolences." before they left.

Ace sat on the sofa and rested his elbow on the back, texting Sharon "What do you need?"

Sharon: 'I would rather you not become a criminal…'

Ace looked at the TV before replying: 'I think we're past that… I can't sign these accords.'

Sharon: 'Just… We'll talk in person, okay? Try not to do anything crazy.'

Ace let out a breath and sighed,

'I'm feeling kinda crazy…'

A while later

Ace flew across the sky in Bucharest, taking out his phone as he flew with the cloak, turning his head to a roof. He put his phone away and flew over, he dropped from the sky and took out his staff, pointing out and making a circle.

Two men were separated from a wall of Ice as Ace landed on top of it, holding his staff on his shoulder, saying "Stop." one of them was the Winter Soldier, Bucky Barnes, and the other was a dude in a panther suit.

The Panther guy said "Stay out of this, Avenger." Ace looked down at him with glowing eyes, "Sorry, can't. Captain's orders." Bucky turned around and ran as Ace said "Stop!", pointing his staff out, however a police chopper started shooting at everyone on the roof.

Ace's cloak shielded him and he turned his head, frowning, "Annoying." he swung his staff out and the Helicopter turned into a hanglider, flying away from the scene with a few guys on it.

Ace turned back to see Bucky jumping off the roof with the Panther guy following quickly behind him.

Ace jumped off the ice, flying after them as Steve shouted "Cloak!" Ace waved behind him and a hand of stone appeared throwing Steve to him. Ace caught Steve and dived off the building, chasing after Bucky and the Panther dude.

Steve tapped his arm, saying "Drop." Ace threw Steve out as he shot towards the Panther, knocking him flying as Bucky jumped into an underground highway, running off.

Ace flew past Steve and the Panther dude, diving into the sub-highway, chasing after Bucky. Funnily enough, Bucky was almost faster than Ace.

Almost.

Bucky looked behind him to see Ace swerving around cars and chasing him quickly. He also saw the Panther and Steve running behind Ace!

Bucky frowned and turned back to the front, ripping off a car door and throwing it behind him.

Ace spiraled out of the way and shot after him as Bucky hopped the concrete barrier, running in the opposite direction of the cars. Ace frowned and chased after him, flying over the cars as Bucky cursed, hopping onto a car as Ace closed in on him. He jumped from car to car until a police car flew over the concrete railing, heading straight for Bucky.

Ace slapped the air and the car turned to dust as Steve lunged through the air, getting dragged down by the Panther guy, smashing into a windshield.

Bucky hopped back over the concrete, grabbing a motorcycle right off a guy and spinning before speeding off.

Ace frowned and a broom appeared under him as he sped up tremendously, weaving through traffic. But Bucky was fast on foot, now that he was on a motorcycle, he was going easily 150, but he was running at least 85-90!

Ace wasn't sure how fast his broom was but it was definitely faster than Bucky, this dude got a headstart!

Ace leaned forward and whipped his hand out, his staff appearing in his grasp. He approached Bucky, who threw a grenade at a concrete height stopper. The grenade exploded and Ace waved his staff, turning the debris to butterflies as he flew through the smoke, launching at Bucky, grabbing him off the motorcycle and flipping, smashing Bucky into the ground.

Ace retrieved his broom and let out a breath, "Bastard, got a head start…" as he floated in the air, pointing his staff at Bucky on the ground, wrapping him in chains.

The Panther dude fellow out of the dust and landed on the ground, looking at Ace, taking out his claws. Ace looked at him and let out a breath, "Come on, then." as he grabbed his staff with both hands, pointing it at the Panther.

The man looked at Ace as Steve and Sam shot out of the smoke, landing on the ground, running over.

Rhodey landed on the scene and pointed his guns at the Panther, Steve, and Sam, saying "Settle down, now." Ace picked up Bucky, standing him up as he said "Remember shooting at me?"

Steve said "Cloak. It's not what it looks like." Ace looked at him and then Rhodes, asking "What are you waiting for? Let's go." Steve sighed and Rhodey looked at him saying "Congratulations, Cap. You're a criminal."

The Panther man took off his helmet, revealing himself to be T'Challa, new King of Wakanda.
