" good day coworkers ", Ann and Veda greeted the cold looking workers but no one answered, they were confused until a very good-looking man came and directed them to their office.

Ann noticed Veda's scrutiny gaze and how she checked him out, Ann just chuckled.

she couldn't deny that the man looked like an angel.

               " wow this is a VIP office", Ann said, she wondered if that is how other workers' offices and treatment were or if was it Calli's doing. " wow, our office is beautiful ", Veda exclaimed in joy.

"Uhm, no the boss gave you a different job and office ", the cold angelic man said, Veda stared at him, she knew she had seen this man but Ann's angry voice broke into her thinking.

"Why she is my assistant ". She said glaring.

" but the boss said that you'll be working as his vice", the man said breaking into a sweat as Ann approached him pinning him to the wall and staring into his blue ocean eyes, " is he busy? I want to see him", she asked slamming her hands on the wall.

" no, he's not busy", he replied as his boss had instructed earlier, Ann stormed out. " still feisty ", Calli smirked setting a countdown for her great entrance.

           Meanwhile, someone seems to have regained her memory, " you.....you workaholic, scumbag, jerk, trash bag, what are you still doing here? go away",  Veda said in shock and anger.

Stephen, his name is Stephen, the no 1 jerk, one of the men she regretted meeting, he brought his work to their date, totally ignoring her and leaving her to pay the bills and walk home when he was called back to work, she was heartbroken because she felt a spark with him.

she decided to move on ignoring his dates and messages but now here she is standing in front of him, the man that she detested to the core, the man who made her lose her job, the man who made her down and drown in alcohol before her savior, Ann came into her life.

"Easy there, I've been looking for you", he said in amusement breaking off from his poker face as he approached her.

Veda has been the only one to melt his cold heart, the only woman whose smile and inquisitiveness shattered his cold facade and fence he built around himself but he couldn't keep her happy. He was too afraid, a coward, he was afraid she would leave him like how his former girl did but when he found out that she was the one his heart yearns for, she was gone.

He had to go back into his shell. Stephen Smith, the only son, and heir to the smith Corporation, and he and Calli are good friends from college. They did things in common but Calli was more serious than Stephen who was busy being the Playboy of the western world making his father despise him, he gas to work under Callie or lose his inheritance to charity just like his father promised.

Veda glared at him but Stephen returned with a smile, she has been gone but now she was standing right in front of him but something was wrong, she was glaring at him with hatred.

She is not demanding and doesn't pretend, not a saint but reserved. He scratches his head in anxiousness as he was expecting her to slap the shit out of him but she beat his imagination.

" forget about the past, I want nothing to do with you anymore, you hurt me but I am good, I hold no grudges, you are the famous PA Stephen, congrats but I don't want you around me", she said calmly.

Now he hated her reserved and calm behavior, he wish she would shout at him or hit him. His eyes checked her out, " she looks so womanly, more mature than before and her skin is so smooth, those soft hands and that doll face, those smooth and slender legs, that hourglass figure", he thought as she settled down to go through the contract on the table.

" I'll leave this up to Ann, my dumb brain can't compare to hers", she giggled as she muttered.

Stephen's smile was replaced with a frown when he saw her phone on the desk ringing, "my love", was the ID of the caller.

He watched as she ran over, leaving the files she was arranging to get her phone. " please can you leave?", she asked him gently but with an irritated tone.

"Okay, if you need anything, I'll be around", he said as he memorized the caller's number.

" I'm sure I won't ", she said flashing him her sweetest smile as she led him to the door and locked it as soon as he stepped out of the office.

Stephen was very angry like an inferno about to erupt, " who was that?, no one is allowed to be her love except me, I have waited for so long for you to come back to me and I won't lose to anyone this time around ", he muttered to himself with a steel glare, all the workers who saw him ran away to their place of work in fear.

" what do you want from me Mr. Ambrosio ", Ann asked glaring coldly at him, she was being admitted into his damn office by some crazy secretary who treated her rudely because she (the secretary), is in love with Calli.

Calli frowned, " why will she call me that?", he thought.

"You know I caught you this time so it fair for me to keep you", Calli said coldly which only made Ann angry.

" what do you take me for?, a toy or property, do I look like you mistress?, look mister in case you've forgotten because of all the crazy ideas running in your mind, I'm here to work not to have an affair with my boss, I'm not in love with you anymore and I never will, so would you just let bygones be bygones ", Ann yelled banging her hands on his table.

She turned around and moved to his window caressing her forehead to calm herself down completely oblivious to the tense atmosphere and dark aura emitted, her thoughts were cut off completely when she felt his hands on her waist, she regretted wearing the jumpsuit now.

" I'm never letting you go, Ann, let that stick to your brain and be there forever", he whispered in her ears caging her, as she stared at him and gulped.

" he looks so dangerous ", she thought to herself. The awkward moment was cut off by the sound of her ringtone, and she pushed him away, " who I'm I speaking with?", she asked since she didn't save the contact on her phone.

" hi I'm Josh Thornton, your mom wants to speak to you", the very sexy voice spoke, Ann was in a daze. A thought registered in her mind, Arranged Marriage.

She knew who Josh was, the sexiest mind and eligible bachelor. " Uhm, yeah, hi mom", she stammered over the phone as Calli frowned.

He knew why Ann felt jittery, she was talking to a guy, he knew everything about her and he knew that she only behaves jittery around him, and sexy guys. 

  " Fine I accept mom,  we'll go on a date and don't think of starving yourself", Ann said as she hung up.

She sighed happily as she twirled only to stop at the sight of Calli's angry face, she faces palmed herself.

" Out of my way boss" she said smiling sweetly as she strolled towards the door, " where do you think you are going? ", his cold voice thundered in the room as he angrily pinned her to the door. Ann froze for a second.

" I love how your thin wrist fits in my hand ", he said smirking. " I hate you let me go", she said puffing in anger.

" I love you a lot, I'll pamper you and give you anything you want", Calli said trying his luck.

" see, I'll work for you and you'll pay me, I don't want a complicated relationship, now get off me you flirt", Ann said.

" I'm getting engaged to Josh Thornton ", she muttered, just like a daze she saw his emotion flicker before he smirked.

" I see your taste in men deteriorated, I won't let my woman go off with another man", he said.

" as if you have a say in my life and I need my belonging back", she said walking off.

" 24 hours, you'll come to the house assigned to you by your own free will and beg me to forgive you", he threatened as he set the time.

She felt scared as she walked out of his office, " I usually read romance books but I never knew my life would be much worse, such a crazy punk", she muttered under her breath.
