Apologize

"You purposely talked bad about me to Miss. Qin, so she could humiliate me just now." Meng Meng hugged Hawk's waist with clenched fists, acting as if she was a victim.

"Haha, Meng Meng, think before you speak. If not, go check your ears to clear out some ear wax. All I did was tell Miss. Qin that her outfit and bag was fake. When have I ever mentioned you or your name in those words? How did she humiliate you be counted as my fault?" Crossing her arms, Lily looked at her surrounding as everyone nodded in agreement.

At first, the crowd was leaning towards standing on Meng Meng's side. After listening to Lily's counterargument, they realized she was right. Lily didn't mention her name nor was she the one who hit her, so how did she talk bad about her? How did she humiliate her?

Having no words as comeback, Meng Meng could only cry pitifully, hoping this topic will dissolve soon. If facing the old Lily, then maybe she will have some luck in getting out of this mess unharmed. Unfortunately, Lily has changed and determined to bring her down today.

Smiling at Meng Meng's loud wails, Lily walked circling around her. "Since you have nothing to say, then it's my turn to speak. First of all, you owe me an apology for slandering me just now. So, I am requesting you to give me one right now. I suggest you speak when you still have the chance to beg for forgiveness."

"Lily! You.. I'm a victim. I got hit already. Isn't that enough?" She sounded as if she was being cornered by her.

"Was I the one who gifted counterfeit products to another person? Was I the one who smacked the bag to your face? Was I the one who said bad words about you? Or were you the one who did wrong things and twisted words to make yourself seem like the victim? Everyone here are my witnesses." Lily said as she stabbed questions to Meng Meng's weaknesses.

"I..I didn't do anything wrong. You're just playing word games with me to make trouble! I only said the wrong word by accident. You're a bully!" Meng Meng cried in Hawk's arms as if her voice was piercing everyone's ears enough.

"Oh? Then what about the rumors you've spread in the WeChat group chat about my gender, parents, Jiang Corps, plastic surgery, stealing others' spouse, and many false accusations? Are these words also an accident? Or did the words have legs and used your tongue as a playground as it escaped from your throat? Hah, don't think just because others act like fools with brainless cells, I would treat you the same way. Lily said as she flipped pages of documents in her hands. Clearing her throat, she announced loudly, making certain her voice could be heard by every single individual in the room. "There's no need in trying to deny any of the words I've said and will say. I have your whole group history in my hands. Today, I'll deny each rumor and reveal her true personality."

Meng Meng wanted to speak, but had no idea what to say at the moment. As everyone's sight laid on her, Lily smiled, "Let's start with the most important clarification point. Meng Meng once said that her parents were the real ones holding Jiang Corps together. She also said that my parents and I were leeching off their wealth."

"Lily! You won't dare!" Meng Meng said as she bit hard on her lips until it bled.

"May I have all your attention towards the left side of the ballroom?" Lily clapped twice as lights in the room dimmed and a projector revealed a DNA report between Lily's grandfather and Meng Meng's father.

"As everyone can see from the document presented, a DNA test had been conducted by the Rein Hospital. Clearly, Meng Meng's father, Jiang Jun is not the son of my grandfather. In fact, he is an adopted child who has no right to any inheritance of the Jiang family. Because of his greediness, he had been banned from entering our company."

"Oh, right. As for the money that Miss. Jiang Meng Meng uses for these pointless parties, these were money that they receive from my parents. They are the real leeches of the family and do not have anything to do with Jiang family. They are only powerful because of our family's surname."

Meng Meng's face drained of color as soon as she saw the Rein Hospital's stamp on the DNA result. Hawk's arm fell off her shoulder. He stopped hugging her the instant he had heard Lily's words. His eyes widened in disbelief as it scanned the document on the screen carefully. He thought he had hooked up a huge load of gold, but she was a fake!

He shoved her away and pointed, "Is this the truth?"

"What? So, you don't want me anymore because I can't afford to give you luxuries? Hah! Jerk." She said as she wanted to use her eyes to dig out his heart and see if it was colored like black ink. 'How could he be so heartless?' Meng Meng cursed inwardly.

As everyone gasped from such juicy news! Lily smiled, "If anyone searches up Meng Meng's parent's names, you'd find amazingly negative news. If what she had mentioned about my parents taking her parent's credit was true, then why wouldn't her parents expose the truth to the media?"

Turning around and facing the other side of the crowd, Lily continued to speak. "Easy answer. Because none of the credit from Jiang Corps belonged to them. They hold no power and do not have any rights to do shit for the company. If anyone listened to our conversation by the entrance earlier, she was asking me to help her boyfriend set connections in the future."

"That DNA result is fake! You bribed someone!!" Meng Meng shouted as she shook her palms in front of the crowd.

"If it's a fake, then we can bring your father and my grandfather to do another DNA test. I'm pretty sure grandfather would love to stand up to clarify this matter. Plus, take a good look at the end of the document. Doctor Xiang Gong Zin was the one who conducted the report and personally signed for it. You said I bribed this famous doctor to lie to everyone? I wouldn't be dumb enough to do something so risky."

"What do you mean? If you have money, you can bribe anyone." Meng Meng smirked as her chest heaved up and down from anger.

"Why would I lie about this when grandfather could come out to testify against me? Besides, they could redo the DNA test and the results would be exposed if I made a fake report. I'm not stupid and will not stoop as low as that. I'm only showing you where you stand in the Jiang family." Lily crossed her arms once again as she mocked Meng Meng's IQ.

"Hah! I'm going to call grandfather and tell him what you did to me today!" Meng Meng said as she threatened with her cellphone in her hands.

"Then call if you dare. Did you think I came without his permission? Did you think I would be afraid of your call? Plus, you've always been overconfident about your intelligence level when it is practically nonexistent. Grandfather may be old, but not blind. He already knows all of your shitty deeds. Call him and try."

She urged her to dial and contact her grandfather. Meng Meng dropped her phone at the end, unwilling to risk any more face loss than she had already did. When the crowd witnessed her phone slipping out of her hands, they knew who was speaking the truth.

"Nothing else to say? I only exposed a few of the many lies that she told to all of you. There's more to come. Are all of you ready? Of course, if you guys choose to be on her side at the end, that'll be on you. I don't care what you think of me. But if I hear a single word about my parents, then I'll guarantee that by the following morning, your company stocks will plummet in the market."

These words were more than enough to scare wits out of those in the business field. Her words scared everyone's mouth shut as they listened to her major exposal.
