"Grandpa, how could that be enough?! I've bought many gowns and jewelry using that money. The dowry is only for the wedding plans. It doesn't include the wedding gown, outfits I'm going to change into, accessories, and other stuff! Don't you want me to be the most beautiful bride?" Meng Meng said in her sweetest tone, trying to get more money from him.

"Hmph! What did you just say to me? Jiang Meng Meng, the dowry money in that bank account I've given to you had thirty billion dollars inside! You are telling me that it isn't enough for one wedding? What about those children in third world countries who can't even have a grain of rice a day? Those dresses you've purchased and whatever products could've bought them more than enough food to last decades!" He stomped his cane twice furiously.

"How could you come to ask me for more money? You spent all your money on useless items and now you want more from me? Ridiculous! " Grandpa Jiang felt extremely disappointed by her spendings. How could she spend that much money when she is only in her mid-twenties?

"But grandpa, I-" Meng Meng's words were cut off once again by Grandpa Jiang.

He continued lecturing her for spending money carelessly. "I don't care how much money you have left, but you will not get even a penny more from my pocket. You can return the brand items you purchased or sell them back out on a huge discount to fund your own wedding. Dowry is only for the wedding plans and not include the outfits? Not include your accessories? How many years have I lived and how old are you? Trying to trick me? Hah, learn to earn your first dollar before talking to me about money. " Grandpa Jiang strictly spoke to her.

Though she stared at the elderly man with watery eyes, he refused to give her a second glance. Since acting pitiful couldn't work, she decided to take things to the next level. She slammed the table and raised her voice. "Since grandpa won't spare me a cent, then have Lily give me a portion of her dowry as my wedding gift! We're cousins anyway. You should let me have that money to create my perfect wedding. If you don't, then that means you are very jealous of me and you don't want me to be happy!"

"Hah, Jiang Meng Meng, I have met so many shameless people in the business world. Somehow, the most shameless person turns out to be you. You've freeloaded in the family for all these years with your worthless parents who don't know how to do shit for the family. Not only that, but they also made many sneaky moves and almost ruined the company. Now, you want to take some of my dowry? Dream on. I would rather donate all my dowry to charity than give you a single penny." Lily scoffed when she heard Meng Meng's idea.

"Also, you aren't my biological cousin. Why should I bother investing in your wedding or even help you out in general? We both know how nonexistent our relationship really is. If it was Ginny, I would give her everything I can, but you? Not even a single strand of hair will be donated to you." Lily continued eating her food after saying these words.

As if shaming Meng Meng wasn't enough, Grandpa Jiang took out the bank account book that he has kept for Lily for many years. Since she got engaged, she should hold onto this book herself. Taking out the bank account book, Grandpa Jiang passed it to Lily. "Lily, grandpa kept this long enough for you. It is time for you to use this money."

Meng Meng's arm stretched out to grab the book from Lily's hand. Unluckily, for her, she ended up missing her target and drowned her hand in the freshly boiled soup. She screamed from the burn, alarming her parents. While her parents dried her hand using a cloth and blew on her scald hand, Meng Meng's eyes were still on the bank book in Lily's hands. The thirty billion dollars used to be in her account as well, but right now she only had a few cents left!

"Grandpa, my hand hurts. I need-" Meng Meng tried her last efforts in gaining some sort of benefits. Knowing her true nature, Grandpa Jiang called their family doctor for her. As soon as she heard the family doctor's name, Meng Meng gritted her teeth. She wailed like a child and blamed her grandfather for her injury.

"Grandpa! How could you do this to me? You don't even care one bit about me! You only love Lily and only thought of her as your granddaughter! What granddaughters? You obviously only dote and spoil one and that one is Lily! You are the reason why I have boils on my hand! You don't even spare me a cent for hospital fees!"

She tried her best to play the pity card but failed the nth time. Lily replied to her ridiculous words after seeing her grandpa's pale expression. "Excuse you, how is this grandpa's fault? He gave us the same items and treated us fairly. You've received thirty billion dollars as dowry because you insisted on keeping it yourself! Grandpa warned you about the amount and even said he would not chip any more than what he had put in the account. My account also says thirty billion. The only difference now is that you've spent it all on useless products."

Lily couldn't hold her temper and argued defensively for her grandfather. "You only burned yourself because you tried snatching my bank account book. This is nobody's fault but your own. So forget about using the pity card and trying to get grandpa to feel bad for you. Instead of asking your family for money, why not ask your fiancé? He is so rich and resourceful. You can get discounts and more from different places for your wedding. Why come back to the family for dowry? I'm telling you right now that you won't get a cent no matter how much you beg!"

"Lily Jiang! Just you wait! When I marry Hawk and become the Fu family's daughter-in-law, you won't dare look down on me like this! Hmph! This dinner can't continue in peace anymore. Since it is like this, then my parents and I will take our leave!" Meng Meng dragged her parents out of the room before anyone could say anything to them.

"Oh, yeah? Well, we are all waiting for you to show us how great you are as Fu family's daughter in law!" Lily shouted at a volume that Meng Meng could hear.
