Recently, the village's defense force had increased significantly. Patrol squads of shinobi were everywhere. The reason? Simple. Five days from now, a delegation from the Hidden Cloud Village would arrive in Konoha to officially sign a peace treaty, marking the end of the Third Great Ninja War.
A long-awaited peace was on the horizon, and the whole village was eagerly anticipating the grand celebration.
On the bustling streets, a young man with dark hair and handsome features walked with a troubled expression. "Too bad I can't buy a life insurance policy for Hiashi Hyuga and list myself as the beneficiary..."
Kazuya sighed, disappointed. He had tried visiting the insurance company but learned that life insurance could only list immediate family members as beneficiaries. And since he wasn't Hiashi's father, that plan was a no-go.
"Looks like the world is fair after all. Getting OP powers in a new world probably means I lose out on money-making schemes, huh?" Kazuya quickly adjusted his mood.
Yes, he was a transmigrator! He had crossed over into the body of an Anbu ninja in Konoha.
Three years ago, on the night of the Nine-Tails' attack, the original Kazuya died fighting the Tailed Beast, and he had been reborn in that moment. The drops followed a pattern: outside of combat, a ninja's drops mostly included Chakra, combat experience, and talent. It was only during battle that they'd drop valuable things like jutsu or Kekkei Genkai. And the stronger the ninja, the higher the quality of their drops!
Three days ago, Kazuya had finally been discharged from the hospital. During his time there, he didn't have many chances to witness battles, so most of the attributes he collected were Chakra, combat experience, and talent. But two years of non-stop collection had still caused his strength to skyrocket.
His kunai throwing skills were now maxed out at level 5, to the point where even Uchiha Itachi might only manage a tie against him!

"Alright," Kazuya nodded, following the Anbu. The Third Hokage wanted to see him. Kazuya was surprised. He was just a squad leader in the Anbu, and there were captains and commanders between him and the Hokage. Why would Sarutobi Hiruzen summon him directly?
A few minutes later, Kazuya stood at the entrance of the Hokage's office.
"Come in."
"Hokage-sama, Captain Kazuya is here!"
"Good, you may leave," the Third Hokage said, standing up from his desk with a warm smile as he saw Kazuya enter. "You look well, Kazuya. I'm glad to see you've recovered."
"Thank you for your concern, Hokage-sama," Kazuya replied with a simple smile, though his gaze lingered on the golden orbs floating around the Third Hokage.
