Extra Chapter 1

This is an extra arc I wrote for you guys, thisntakes place after the ending of my Lion King: Son of Mufasa.

I was supposed to start releasing my Fist of Haki story... Sadly my grandmother got sick two weeks ago. She's old and the doctors can't do much about it so our family is taking turns taking care of her.

So I took a break from writing, that's why I didn't start releasing my Fist Of Haki, even though I planned to do so 2 weeks ago. I still don't feel like writing so I'll wait longer. But I felt like I could release a few extra chapters for those that really loved this story.

Leave powerstones if you enjoyed.

The pride lands had always been Africa's greatest land, which was ruled by the greatest pride.

It had it's ups and downs, and a few generations back, it had a low point.

The brother of King Mufasa had betrayed the king and stolen the crown, which led to the pride lands falling from grace.

It became an inhabitable land. But as fate would have it, the two cubs of Mufasa had survived Scar's betrayal, and returned as adults.

They retook what was theirs and Asafa became the next king.

King Asafa... A name that still echoes throughout Africa. If you were to ask about his father King Mufasa, some might still recognise him, at least as the father of Asafa.

But usually, the past kings are forgotten after a few generations.

King Asafa, what a wonderous name, that it still echoes as a legend.

It is said, that the wise great-elder of pride lands, Zuberi, is the grandson of King Asafa, although those rumours had become just that, rumours.

There were still some elder animals that insisted that the stories of King Asafa were true, although most believed them to be... Only somewhat true.

But there was also scepticism, a lion defeating an army for crocodiles and hippopotamus by himself?

Rather, what was a believed was that he revived the pride lands from destruction. So whenever a calamity befalls an animal kingdom, it has become costum to wish well upon eachother with the greeting, "May Asafa's spirit be with you."

And "May Asafa's spirit be with us."

This was said between all types of animals in the African continent.

Some even said it without knowing who Asafa was.

As for the pride lands, it was ruled by King Tafari, Grandson of the former king Zuberi.

Legend has it that the former King Zuberi was the grandson of Legendary King Asafa. He himself had become elderly, not even able to hunt anymore, but he still has a crucial role as the advisor of the king.

"Grandfather, what are you thinking about these days?" King Tafari asked as they were about to sleep.

Tafari had noticed his grandfather seeming more absent the last few days.

"Hmm, I just have this relentless feeling in my chest recently... As if I'm about to meet someone important soon... And for some reason my grandfather comes to mind." Zuberi smiles.

Tafari's wonder turned into sadness. To him it sounded like his grandfather was feeling like his death was near.

To be fair, Zuberi also believed that was the feeling he felt.

"Grandfather, can't you hold on for a bit longer?" Tafari asked in a lower voice.

Truthfully, he didn't need Zuberi anymore as his advisor. When he had just become king, and was a bit unruly, his grandfather's advice helped them more than on one occasion.

But lately, a new advisor, had helped more as Tafari seemed to retire.

But even then, Zuberi was his grandfather and the only one left from the generation that had lived to see the Asafa monarchy.

Technically, Zuberi was born after his father, Mohatu, son of Asafa, had been crowned, but still, he had seen those legendary lions of that generation.

And Zuberi felt something in his chest, as if he was about to meet them soon.

"Grandfather..."

"Enough Tafari, there's no point in discussing this anymore. You're a fine king and I'm proud of you, but the circle of life must continue. My prime time is over, and I can feel it, I don't have much longer left in me." Zeburi spoke in his wise tone.

Zuberi was in his youth very reckless, to the annoyance of his parents and grandparents.

But as he grew older and the generation before him passed away, his recklessness turned into experience. An then his experience turned into wisdom.

His wisdom turned into long years, and his long years turned into yearning.

He was proud and happy for his children, and grandchildren that had been born recently. But he yearned to meet his own siblings, aunts and uncles.

He does have a vague, but cherished memory of a snake, a black panther, a swine and a kitty cat.. no, not cat, what was it now again?

'Uncle Hamu, aunty Amina, auncles Timon and Pumba, uncle Simba...'

Whenever he thinks back to his youth when he was surrounded by those elders, he can't help but to smile and feel a yearning for that time.

The one that lived the longest was his grandfather, Asafa.

After everyone passed away and Zuberi became king, his grandfather decided to travel the lands.

It's been many, many years since then and Zuberi has not heard a word from his grandfather since then.

Zuberi had longed for the day that his grandfather returned, yet after a few years he had given up, and assumed that his grandfather had died somewhere out there.

But somewhere in his heart he still hopes that his grandfather was out there, living well.

When his grandfather left, he still looked very young, as if he was in his prime, even though his own sons and daughters had passed on from age.

"After all this time, you probably left this world, didn't you grandpa?" Zuberi whispered in a sad tone.

"Huh, grandfather... Do you want to talk about it?" Tafari asked as he didnt quite hear but could guess what his grandfather was muttering about.

"No, no, I dont think I will."

"Fine..." Both fell asleep shortly after.

The next morning, everyone proceeded with their duties, the female lionesses were out hunting.

Tafari was out with his cousins and brothers, marking their territory.

The children where playing behind the pride rock where there was a small lake, and the birds were chirping.

The 5 lionesses left to protect the children were looking around sharply, with a predatory gaze, as if threatening the whole world. Come near our children and we'll eat you.

"Waaa look at this lady bug!!! It's so red!" cubs shouted.

"So what?" Another said as if not impressed, but his eyes sparkled slightly as he saw the lady bug.

"Kovu, stop playing cool, I'm the cool one.." one of the cubs spoke but suddenly stopped speaking as he got a fright.

The 5 lionesses jumped towards the cubs and surrounded them while growling very aggressively towards a direction..turning around thy saw something in the distance walking towards them.

The lionesses growled more aggressively as the... Beast neared them.

The size of the beast... They couldn't make out what kid fo animal was proceeding towards them as it's size was smaller than an elephant but bigger than the biggest lion they had ever seen.

"Beast, stop where you are, You're intruding on the pride lands!" One of the female lions warned.

But the closer the intruder walked the scarier it got.

They soon realised that this was another male lion...

Dark brown mane, brown fur, green eyes...

Yet it's size put the fear of death inside all of them.

It was the size of a grown buffalo...

The cubs hid behind the furthest lioness with fear evident in their eyes.

As for the male lion, he kept on walking with nostalgia in his eyes.

'How many years has it been since I last came here.... But this place won't be the same without you guys...' he thought as he sighed.

He then looked at the lionesses the were growling at him, one of them started howling and roaring as to warn the others and ask for help.

The lion kept walking closer until he was only about 5 meters from the lionesses.

"Turn around intruder, this so the pride lands!"

"... Who is your current king?" Asafa asked with a raised eye.

He didn't recognise any of these lionesses... Had he been gone for that long?

"King Tafari! He is the mightiest king in Africa, the great, great grandson of King Asafa!" The leading lioness even used the name of their legendary former king, to frighten the intruder.

Asafa fell into a pondering state.
